Chapter 6

Muddy fun

Two days passed by, and Kagome still hadn't woken up yet. Everyone was worried. She was still breathing. She moved every once in a while. Nothing had changed since the attack.

Inuyasha, Inuki, and Shippo never left Kagome's side unless they had too. Of course Inuyasha refused to move. Sesshomaru was getting irritated. He never would have agreed to stay until she woke up if he knew it was going to take this long.

Rin and Sango kept the guys in line. They told someone to get firewood when they needed it, to go hunting when they needed food. Even though Reiha was young she was worried about Kagome too.

Everyone did their thing to help, except Inuyasha, Inuki, and Shippo. They stayed next to Kagome. "Why won't she wake up?" Inuyasha yelled in frustration.

"Calm down Inuyasha I'm sure she'll wake up soon." Sango said.

"Besides it's not good to yell stuff like that with your kids right beside you." Rin said.

Inuyasha looked to his left. Inuki and Shippo looked up worried. "Is Okaa-san going to be ok?" Shippo asked.

"Of course she is. She's strong." Reiha said. "Okaa-san told me that."

"Hai, she'll be fine." Sango said.

Kagome woke up to yelling. She was so tired. She opened her eyes to find everyone staring at her. She jumped up. "What?"

"You're awake." Inuki and Shippo yelled. They jumped at her and knocked her back to the ground.

"Oi, what did I tell you about that?" Inuyasha yelled. He gently picked Kagome up and set her in his lap. "Are you ok?"

"I'm just a little tired but I'm ok why?" Kagome asked.

"You were asleep for two days." Inuyasha said.

"Oh, I was just sleeping." Kagome said.

"Did you know what you were doing when you fought?" Miroku asked. He'd wanted to ask her that ever since the fight.

"Hai." Kagome said.

"You knew you were going to pass out?" Sango asked.

"Hai."

"Why did you do it then?" Inuyasha yelled.

"The kids were watching and I didn't want them to see something so gruesome. Besides I didn't want to risk anyone getting hurt."

"When did you learn how to do that? I'm sure no one has ever done that before." Miroku said.

"I don't know I kind of made it up." Kagome said.

"You went into battle without knowing what the hell you were doing?" Inuyasha yelled.

"I knew what I was doing. I just didn't know if it would work. I was surprised I had enough energy to take out that one youkai." Kagome said.

"So that last arrow you shot was the last of your energy?" Rin asked.

"Hai." Kagome said.

"Don't ever do that again." Inuyasha said. He hugged her tight.

"Gomen."

"Well thanks to her we didn't have to lift a finger and no one got hurt." Sango said.

"We were so worried." Inuki said. He and Shippo hugged her.

"I told them you'd be ok." Reiha said. She smiled and hugged her to.

"I didn't think I'd worry you that much." Kagome said.

"Well you did so don't do it again." Inuyasha said.

"Hai, hai." She rolled her eyes. She tried to get up.

"What are you doing?" Inuyasha asked.

"I'm going to get something to eat. I haven't eaten anything for two days."

"That's ok. Rin and I will make some soup for you." Sango said.

"Arigato." Kagome said. "How about we play a game?" She asked Inuki, Shippo, and Reiha.

"Hai." They all said. They played a game of tag while the food was cooking. Inuyasha, Kohaku, and Miroku joined them. Sesshomaru watched as they ran around. Kagome was not a miko to be messed with. He wanted to leave. Two days with these people were enough for him.

After about ten minutes Kagome ate her soup. The kids were satisfied that Kagome was ok and played some games. "I'm going to take a bath. I feel dirty. Sango, Rin, do you want to come?"

"Hai." They both said.

"Come on Reiha you need a bath too." Sango said.

Reiha followed the women to the hot spring nearby. The guys just sat there. "I guess we'll take a bath after them." Miroku said.

"How come we can't take a bath at the same time?" Inuki asked.

Miroku was about to explain but was hit on the head. "He doesn't need to hear it from you." Inuyasha yelled. "Damn lecher."

"I was just going to tell him why." Miroku said innocently.

Inuyasha sighed. "We'll tell you when you're older."

Inuki just looked at them curiously. He shook it off and went to play with Shippo. "You didn't have to hit me so hard." Miroku whined.

"Yeah I did." Inuyasha said. "I don't want my son to turn into a little Miroku."

"I would be honored to have your son follow in my footsteps." Miroku said. "Although I would like to have a son of my own."

"I meant I don't want him to become a lecher." Inuyasha yelled.

"Hmm? I wonder if Sango would like to have another child." He said ignoring Inuyasha's comment. After a while a lecherous grin was plastered on his face.

"I hope not." Inuyasha said. "Oi, Sesshomaru when are you leaving?"

"When Rin is done with her visit." Sesshomaru said.

"You must care a lot for Rin." Miroku said.

Sesshomaru got up and walked into the forest to get away from the annoying pervert. "Did I say something wrong?" Miroku asked.

"No, you said the right thing that's why he left." Inuyasha laughed. "I never thought I'd see the day when Sesshomaru would fall in love with a human."

"You love a human." Miroku said.

"Kagome's different." Inuyasha stopped laughing.

"I know, I know." Miroku said. He'd heard it enough. "How long do you think the girls will be?" Miroku asked.

"I don't know why?" Inuyasha said. Just then Inuki and Shippo threw mud at him.

"Oh, no reason." Miroku said. He'd been watching them make a mud puddle. He tried to keep a straight face as he saw them get up to throw the mud.

"Damn kids." Inuyasha yelled. He chased them around the field throwing mud at them. He managed to catch both kids and bury them in the mud puddle they had made.

The girls came back from the bath an hour later feeling refreshed and clean. When they walked into the campsite they dropped their things and laughed at the sight in front of them.

Inuyasha, Miroku, Inuki, Shippo, and Kohaku were covered in mud. You almost couldn't tell them apart. "What happened?" Kagome managed to say while laughing.

"Inuki and Shippo threw mud at me so I did the same." Inuyasha said.

"How did Miroku and Kohaku get sucked into this?" Sango laughed.

"I don't even know. I was watching Inuyasha bury them in the mud puddle and the next thing I know I was covered in mud." Miroku said.

"What about you Kohaku?" Sango asked.

"I don't even know." He said.

"I think you guys need a bath." Rin said. She was in tears.

"Sure we'll take a bath." Inuyasha nodded at Inuki and Shippo. They both got up and hugged Kagome.

She squealed. "I just took a bath." She said. Inuyasha laughed.

"That's for the sits." He said and gave her a quick peck on the lips.

"Come on boys lets get cleaned up." Inuyasha said. All the guys followed him.

"Now I need another bath." Kagome said.

"And you'll have to wait for the guys to get done." Sango laughed.

"Where's Sesshomaru?" Rin asked.

"He's right behind you." Sango said.

Rin turned around and screamed. "I hate it when you do that." He always popped up out of nowhere. Because he was fast she couldn't see him.

A half an hour later the guys came back from the hot spring. Kagome combed Inuki's hair. He wouldn't stop moving so it took a long time. "How come you don't comb Otou-san's hair?" He asked.

"I will later." Kagome said. "You're done now." He got up and ran over to Shippo and Reiha.

"He really hates that." Sango said.

"Well he has a lot of hair like Inuyasha." Kagome said.

"Reiha's the same way." Sango said. "Her hair isn't as long as Inuki's though."

"Where'd Inuyasha go?" Kagome asked.

"He left about a minute ago." Miroku said.

"Oh, well I'm going to go take another bath." Kagome said. She grabbed her stuff and walked to the hot spring.
