An anguished cry filled the sky, and tore through his heart. Miroku paced back and forth outside of Kaede's hut. Sango had been in labor for the last 10 hours and Miroku had been extremely worried. Naraku was dead and the Wind Tunnel on his hand had disappeared, but there was always some caution with the first born of this line. Soon though another cry rose in the air mixing with the scream of a child. Miroku's shoulders slumped in a sigh of relief, but Kaede rushed out seconds later and in a frantic voice said,

"Miroku, ye must come quickly. Does ye still have ye beads?" Miroku nodded and picked up his bag containing the cloth and beads of the cursed. "Come quickly" Kaede encouraged and motioned for him to follow.

"What is wrong, Kaede?" Miroku yelled but the old woman only ran back into the hut, Miroku hot on her heals.

Miroku came to the room deep in the hut were Kaede stood in the door way. She looked in but didn't move. Miroku pushed past her into the room, and looked around. Sango lay unconscious on the futon a slightly bloody blanket covering her lower body. Miroku rushed to her, she lived but her energy was drained from the labor. He noticed the a few things in the room were moving towards the child on a small bed near the wall. Miroku rushed to the child, beads ready, to try to soothe its wails. What he saw stopped him. The child was a girl, with black hair sticking slightly up, its skin flushed and her face red from screaming. On her hand was the Wind Tunnel.
