Chapter 1
Amaya ran through the woods in her true Inu form. Her silvery white fur was being snagged by branches as she ran past. She was assisting her father in saving her father’s human mate, Izayoi. She stopped as her father stopped at the edge of a cliff above the castle where his enemy was. He leapt from the edge and ran at the castle at full speed. Amaya followed close behind. Her father returned to his humanoid form and she followed suit. He was tall with long ankle length silver white hair tied in a high ponytail and blue stripes adorned his cheeks. His golden eyes glowed with determination, determination to kill Takemaru. Amaya had the same long silver hair and golden eyes, but she had twin magenta stripes on each cheek and a four pointed star on her forehead. Her father drew his blade, Tessaiga. “Kaze no Kizu!” he cried unleashing a huge wave of energy on the castle wall, killing and or injuring all the guards. Her father took off toward the center room of the castle. Amaya fought off any who tried to attack him. They reached the room where Takemaru awaited them and Amaya switched from dagger to long sword. Takemaru had a sword in his hands. “So you are Daisuke, Inutaisho and taiyoukai of the Western Lands,” Takemaru said, addressing Amaya’s father. “And you brought a little puppy with you too.” He looked at Amaya in amusement. Amaya growled at Takemaru, but her father gave her a look that told her to save it for the fight. Amaya stopped at that look. Takemaru charged at Amaya and slashed at her. She evaded the direct blow, but the edge of the blade cut a slit in her side. She grimaced at the pain and stabbed at Takemaru, giving him a similar injury. “Amaya get away from here,” Daisuke instructed, drawing his blade Sounga. “But father,” Amaya protested, but Daisuke gave her a look that told her not to argue. Sadness filled her eyes. “Promise me you’ll come back.” Daisuke saw his daughter grow sad. He hated to see that. “I promise little one,” he said. “I will return.” Though he knew he likely would not. “I’ll wait for you,” Amaya said then ran from the castle and into the forest, to wait for her father.
She sat for about twenty minutes watching for him from a tree branch. After a few more minutes the castle burst into flames, the source was exactly where her father and Takemaru had been fighting. She ran into the flames in her true Inu form ignoring the heat of the flames, as she searched for her father. She finally found his unmoving body, his swords all sheathed. She took his body in her mouth and carried him back to the forest. She set him down and returned to her humanoid form. “Father!” she cried, cradling his head in her hands. “Father, don’t leave me!” She reached for Tenseiga and took it in her hand. It did not pulse. It would not bring back her father. She let the tears fall as she sheathed her father’s blade. She held his dead form to her chest and cried into his silver hair. She was 56, only a pup in the eyes of an Inuyoukai. She still needed the guidance of a parent, but now she had none, her mother had passed on in childbirth with her and her twin brother Sesshomaru. She suddenly felt the physical pain of the injuries and burns she had received, but it was nothing compared to the emotional pain she felt. Her vision was blurred by the tears. She looked up after a long time of crying and saw that it was nearing dawn. She sniffed the air and caught a familiar scent, her very jealous uncle, Asa. She wasn’t sure whether to be glad to see him or not. He came into her view and knelt beside her. His eyes were filled with false sadness, when he saw his fallen brother. He picked the body up and carried it, leaving the injured Amaya to follow behind on her own. Amaya stood and limped after him, grimacing from the intense pain.
They walked like this for several hours. “Stay here,” Asa told his niece and continued on alone. He brought his fallen brother’s body to his brother’s castle and there was much lamentation. Sesshomaru looked at his uncle in confusion. “Where is Amaya?” he asked his uncle. “I found her not,” Asa lied. He left, not even staying to lament his brother. He had always hated his younger brother, especially after their father had made Daisuke his heir and not Asa as it should have been. That had greatly angered him. He returned to where the injured Amaya waited. He smiled evilly at her. He would make it so he would taiyoukai and she would help him whether she liked it or not. He picked her up and carried her to a distant abandoned village. He took her into the largest hut and laid her on the bed. He unbuckled her weapons and tossed them aside and removed his own weapons. “Uncle?” Amaya asked timidly as Asa came over to her and untied her haori. “Silence,” he commanded, removing the haori completely, revealing her creamy white chest. He growled softly and Amaya’s eyes grew wide, as she realized what he was going to do. “Please no,” she begged. He smiled and removed the rest of her clothing and then removed his. “You will be mine whether or not you like it,” he growled. He didn’t wait for her permission he just raped her, ignoring her cries for him to stop. He bit her neck, marking her as his.
She couldn’t stand him and finally punched him in the nose, knocking him to the ground. She put her clothes back on, took her weapons and ran away into the forest. She ran for a long time, her injuries causing her intense pain the whole time. She finally couldn’t take the pain anymore and collapsed against a tree about two miles from her father’s castle. She began to cry. Her father was gone and her Uncle had violated her. She felt like she had caused all this. Tears streamed down her cheeks. She was alone and scared and she felt so dirty. She wanted her father, but she knew that couldn’t happen. She would never again feel his warm grip on her. She would never be able to cry on his shoulder or into his silky silver locks. She would never hear his kind, firm reassuring voice again. Her tears stung as they ran down her face and over the burns on her cheeks from the flames.
