,,So when did you decide to become mates?" Itomi asked faking polite curiosity.

,,When we first met." Kagome answered nicely from

her side of the table.

Totousai was in town for the night and had left them alone with their 'guests'. So now they were having dinner, together.

Sesshoumaru was sitting at the end of the small table, Inutaisho at the other. Kagome was sitting to Sesshoumaru's right and beside her was Rin.

Inuyasha and Itomi were facing her , but she had yet to decide who made her more nervous.

,,That quickly?" Rin asked at her side almost choking on her food.

,,Sesshoumaru insisted." Kagome added turning a sweet smile towards her mate, who simply shot her one of his 'you're paying for that later' glares, but never dignified his audience with an answer.

,,And I who thought you were gay." Sesshoumaru's father suddenly interrupted, making

Kagome burst out laughing, and Sesshoumaru coffing because he had almost choked on his food.

,,What is so funny?" Itomi asked slightly irritated because of this situation. ,,He was never interested in anyone before so we assumed something like that . Afterall as his parents we had to decide..."

,,You are not my parent, and even if, only I will decide what goes on in my life." Sesshoumaru interrupted her, making Inuyasha and Inutaisho send him angry glares.

,,How dare you she practicly raised you when your mother die.."Inuyasha started but was rudely cut off, by someone none of them expected.

,,This is no place for this argument, and you Inuyasha would have been too young to know what truly happened. Considering we all had enough for today, I suggest we all retire to our rooms."

Kagome's words had and stern and ultimate character, none of them even Sesshoumaru had expected her to have such a tone yet alone use it within their company.

,,How dare you give orders to.."Rin started, but Inutaisho silenced her by a wave of his hand.

,,She is right. We will all retire. I bid you good night Kagome." he said, getting up and taking his mate's hand, slowly walking out of the room, beeing followed by his son and niece.

told her quietly , leaning against the bedpost, watching her retreat to her bathroom to change.

,,Well I do!" she whispered angryly, knowing fully well, that now in his youkai form , he could hear it.

Walking back into the room she suddenly stopped at the doorframe, leaning against it as she looked at him. She still had to get used to such perfection.

The markings on his once ivory skin, the crescent moon, on his flawless face, the golden eyes, which melted her heart, the red lips which called in a luring tone, his silky hair, yearning for her touch.

Snapping out of her reverie, upon seeing his rather amused look, her anger came back.

,,What are you still doing here?" she hissed.

,,I'm your mate, so we share the same room as long as 'family' is here."he answered casually, looking at her inticing curves.

That black pijama truly fitted her body,her full breasts, round hips, slim waist, long legs. Looking up he smirked at her angry look. It made her that much more sensual.

Her raven hair, softly cascading down her back, framing her beautiful face, contrasting her milky skin and her red pouting lips. And her eyes, fire burned in them, making heat spred throughout his body, saphires shined with her passion.

Huffing she made her way to bed, lying down next to him, growling when she saw him turn off the lights.

,,Sad excuse for a growl." he answered into the darkness.

,,Get out before I..." but suddenly she had to stop, a giant weight was just added over her.

,,Before you..." she felt his hot breath tickle against her skin.

Gulping, she resisted the urge to tangle her hands in his hair pulling him up to a kiss.

,,Get off.." she mustered in a shushed voice, faking her anger.

,,Why get so mad?" he whispered into her hair, loosing himself in the softness of her skin , basking in her heavenly scent.

Seeing the question in them she decided to tell the truth, knowing he would sense anything else but that.

,,They creeped me out. And then they started with that interrogation and then they said that about your mother and I ...I ...well, nobody is allowed to do that!" she finished heatidly, pouting a little at her lack of words.

Again, the face of an innocent a child...but yet to him she seemed so much more. Kissing her temple gently, he rolled onto his side, bringing her onto his chest.

He thanked her! He truly thanked her! Resting her arms on his chest she pulled up giving him a quick peck on the lips, resting her head on his heart.

,,You're welcome ." she whispered letting sleep overcome her. Soon , after wondering about the amazing person lying on top of him, he followed

her into the land of slumber.

Tiptoing through the halls, as to not wake anyone, Kagome wondered just how she could have gotten away from Sesshoumaru.

Going into the kitchen she poured herself some water and after drinking it , she wanted to leave when ........

someone grabbed her from behind , pinning her body to the wall. She felt a figure press against her, gripping her body, covering her mouth.

Fear latched itself into her body, she wanted to scream, wanted to scream for him, but her fogged mind was to overcome by fear.

She felt the man against her, felt his hand moving up her leg, brushing her inner thigh, going higher and higher wanting to reach ....

NO! Never!

Freeing one fo her hands, pushing it against his chest, she felt all of her beeing explode, braking through the walls of her soul, sending a desperate cry to her mate, pushing away the man above her...

Her cry, her fear , it flooded his senses, making him run out to her, red already seeping into his eyes....

Whoever had done this to his mate would die a horrid death....

Arriving there along with his father , who also had Itomi and Rin, he rushed to her side, never once taking a look at the liliac-pink shield which surrounded her.

Braking through it, he craddled her into his arms, feeling the torrent of hot tears seep onto his chest. Craddling her closer, he looked at her shaken form and cursed himself for not being here.

Looking at the other end of the room he saw his half-brother recovering . He resisted the urge to tare him apart limb, for limb, and pulled his mate even closer, not even now noticing the shield which surrounded them.

Taking her to their room , he held her tight, listening as she told him...from beginning to end...
