Chapter 2

Kagome walked down the sidewalk leading to her new school. She looked into the hand mirror she took out of her pocket. She cheeked to see if she looked all right. Contemplating about her hair, she unbraided them. Her hair cascading down in midnight black/blue waves.

While walking through the gates of Fukai Sakura High, she looked down at her watch. She was twenty minuets early. `Good I can tour the school.' She looked around there were a few people scattered around the campus.

Sitting under trees, playing in the soccer field, beating people up...wait beating people up? Kagome looked back at the group.

She made a face, and shapely turned towards the group harassing another group. "Heay." Kagome tapped the person who looked like the group leader.

He turned around and blinked looked down. Kagome saw this one was a demon, a lightning demon to be exact. Around the campus people started to gather. Many of the males stared at her, and females whispered to each other.

The leader smiled showing his white teeth and fangs, he had red eyes and long black hair braided at the nape of his neck, he was attractive that was for sure. Another youkai came up behind him not as handsome…not by a long shot. "What is it Hiten-oniisan?" The thing said.

"Looks like we have a ningen onna Miten-otouto." The Hiten turned his head but kept his gaze on Kagome. "A very pretty girl." Hiten smirked as Kagome frowned.

"Well onna." Hiten crossed his arms. "What is the honor to grace us with your presence?" Kagome was not the least bit fooled. "Do you always pick on people shorter or weaker then you?" Hiten grinned wider.

"What it doesn't agree with you?" Hiten said while leaning forward six inches away from Kagome's pull ink lips. He had time to admire them without her noticing.

Kagome's lips twitched and she gave a smirk of her own, which made Hiten blink. "Yes, and it also shows coward-ness if you pick a fight with someone weaker then you." Kagome crossed her arms a smug smirk on her face.

Hiten growled, "Watch it onna." He warned Kagome smiled a cute smile, which made Hiten take suck in air. `Whoa, cute.' He thought. Then her smiled turned into a snicky grin.

"Or what you'll growl at me again." Kagome watched as Hiten flushed a bit.

Kagome looked down at her watch, "Ah I don't have the time, Ja!" Kagome smiling waved and walked off; leaving a gossiping crowd and an agitated thunder youkai.

"That little-" Hiten turned and growled at the crowed that in turn squeaked and ran off. Some of his gang members turned nervous as they followed their leader across the school lawn.

Kagome looked around the school. It was HUGE! There where large plastic/glass windows, and the walls where different colors or hues. Asking another student were the principles office was she kept on walking not aware that she being stared at by people.

Kagome nervous knocked lightly on the principles door. A soft `enter' could be heard. Hesitating she entered shyly. "Ah are you the new student Higurashi, Kagome right?" Kagome nodded closing the door quietly.

She tightened her grip her briefcase. "You do not have to be scared. I don't bit." The man said grinning, Kagome smiled weakly. "Sit." He indicated the chair in front of his desk. Kagome sat down nervously fidgeting with her skirt.

Five minuets later Kagome left smiling. "Doomo Arigato Yoshiyama-sama." Kagome bowed and closed the door. Kagome mesmerized the map he had shown her. Going down to the South wing she entered one of the High honors Federal Jidai Ages History classes.

An old man-or more like old youkai- was putting away books in a closet. Kagome's eyes widened as the very high pile of books started to tip and the teachers hadn't noticed. Walking over she took some books off before it got too dangerous.

The teacher yelped and the dropped the books, "While that defeats I intended to do." Kagome smiled and bent down and helped pick up the books. "Arigatou gozaimasu umm…" The teacher trailed off.

"Ah Gomen ne...Higurashi, Kagome." Kagome bowed. "Ah the new student I like you already, I thought it would be one of the snobby youkai or ningen." The teacher laughed, Kagome smiled, "I sure hope I'm not!"

She helped Yamasaki-sama put away the rest of the books. Kagome straightened and turned to Yamasaki-sama.

"Are you a mountain brown deer?" Kagome asked a bit nervous. The teacher shocked nodded. "Eto…Gomen ne I'm very good at guessing…or sensing." Kagome rubbed the back of her head and looked down giggling quietly. "That's great!" Yamasaki-sama exclaimed.

The five minuet-warning bell rang and students started to file in. Kagome took her position in front of the class and looked out of the window to her right. There where whispers as people recognized her.

"Minna-san settle down…I would like to introduce you to the new student I told you about yesterday." Yamasaki-sama indicated to Kagome who had a light blush on her cheeks as she looked at the class staring at her.

Her miko senses gently going off telling her things that no one else would know. `Okay there are nineteen people in this class, five humans, seven hanyou, and seven youkai.' Kagome smiled at the class occupants.

"This is Higurashi, Kagome she moved form Kyoto, Higurashi-san please tell something about your self?" Yamasaki-sama stepped back.

Kagome blushed a pretty pink, everyone in the classroom was staring at her…will not every one. "Ne…Konnichiwa minna-san." Kagome bowed politely. Watashi no namae wa Higurashi, Kagome desu (my name is Kagome Higurashi). Jyuu-shichi-sai desu (I am seventeen years old)." Kagome grinned. "I like to sing and to do…a lot of things." Kagome stopped.

"Like what?" A curious person asked earning the class to look at him, and siding down into his seat. "Ano…" Kagome looked up and placed a finger on her chin.

"You ready?" Kagome smiled. "I do kendo, judo, archery, martial arts, Tai-chi, track, singing, dancing, I am a musician- piano, flute, and violin, ano-ne- I write calligraphy, and I'm learning how to weld Katana." Kagome ticked off her fingers.

"Wow…" came answers. Kagome grinned slightly at some shocked faces. "And I'm learning more." Kagome smiled warmly. "Wow." Yamasaki-sama stuttered and blinked.

"Um, you can sit…oh boy." Yamasaki-sama made an annoyed face. Apparently, the only seat available was on between two youkai in the back of the class closer by the window.

Yamasaki-sama sighed and glanced at the two youkai that glared up at him. Kagome followed his intense gaze. She blinked and felt another blush coming on but forced it down.

She would be seating in between two VERY HOT youkai. There was one cast in shadow away form the sunlight. She felt he was a was a moth-youkai.

The other on her would be right was a FINE silver haired inu-Youkai…they both had a cold indifferent expression on, the inu-youkai though was more cold.

"Gomen Higurashi-san, demo, it looks like you will have to sit in between Nishitsuki-sama and Kurohikari-san." Kagome nodded and walked to the back of the classroom.

She could feel the stares/glares of everyone as she took her seat in between the two refined youkai. `This is going to be a very long period.' She thought as she glanced to her left.

The moth youkai was staring at her his unnaturally bright red eyes, his eyes was outlined with a thin purple-ish/blue-ish color, LONG aqua/green hair, two thick red strips coming down into a `V' though it stops just above his black thin eyebrows.

Two long feather like red feelers lining his hairline and to the sides of his head, and pale slightly green skin eliminating the corner untouched by light. `Yikes he is…very…foreboding beauty.' Kagome thought.

She continued the little staring contest than got bored. She rolled her eyes and looked straight ahead. She felt the youkai at her left bore his gaze at the side of her face.

She looked over to him and blinked. `Whoa…' she thought as she gazed into his cold yet hypnotizing molten gold eyes. `Shit'…'she thought slowly, she was sooo glad she could control herself or she would be drooling.

He had porcelain skin, two magenta red strips on both cheeks and on his eyelids, a perfect Prussian blue waning crescent moon on his forehead and LONG straight silver iridescent hair.

`He has got to be a god…MY GOD THIS GUY IS FINE HOTNESS…his beauty was like being hit by a train.' Kagome thought, his glare intensified.

`What's his problem? Okay I take back every good thing I said about him; he has a total arrogant and pride problem.' Kagome raised her eyes brows and gave the expression of something looking mildly interesting, her face clearly saying `I'm not interested in you at all now go away'. She ignored his glare and faced forward again.

She took out her assignment notebook and wrote down the homework, and then bell rang a minuet later. Not even giving a glace back at the two boys, she walked away relatively slow not at all intimidated by the two.

`Next Class is Honors English, then High Honors Advanced Algebra. And then...YES lunch.' Kagome hummed a tone on her way to class; slightly aware of one of the two "intimidating" youkai following her.
