InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Dances With Wolves ❯ I'll find you again ( Chapter 7 )

[ X - Adult: No readers under 18. Contains Graphic Adult Themes/Extreme violence. ]

Summary: Kagome's bored at home with nothing to do but homework. So what does she do? She heads through the well. The thing is, there's a terrible encounter waiting for her at the other end. K/K This story is rated M for sexual scenes, violence, and profanity in certain chapters.

I would also like to note that there will be no Naraku or any other of his `children' in this story. I couldn't find anywhere to fit them in, so let's just say that he was defeated not too long after Shinta's birth, Okay? Okay. Another thing, I'm not planning on ending this real soon. There's gonna be more, don't worry.

Disclaimer: I don't own any of the characters from Inuyasha or any other works from Takahashi-sensei. Though I wish I owned Kouga. Has anybody else noticed how finely toned his body is? Damn! If only I could find a guy like that. ((sighs))

Chapter seven

I'll find you again

“Damn it!” Remus yelled, throwing the glass across the room, narrowly missing his servant's head. He was furious. That damned wolf and his pup got out of the fire, and now he had no idea where they were. How could be not be able to get them after all these years? “Damn you, Kouga. I'll get you someday…” he scowled. His gaze followed from where his servant was currently standing to his side, where he held up a single piece of paper with a single name on it. “What's this, Kino?”

“New information, Lord Remus. I believe you might find this useful, as it could help you find her.”

“How did you get this, if I may ask?”

“I wolf I have become acquainted with saw her with one of her old pack mates. She followed them, and found out this information.” Remus stared at the words on the paper, chuckling. It had the address to the house of Kagome's friends. It was good information.

“You will soon be mine, Kagome,” he chuckled darkly.

“Achoo!”

“Kagome, are you alright?”

“I'm fine. Someone must have been talking about me.”

“Oh.”

“Go back to sleep.”

Kouga woke up the next morning with the sun shining brightly in his face. He yawned, stretching as he sat up, slowly shaking his mate awake.

“Hn…?” Kagome mumbled, still half asleep. It wasn't that early, was it? He looked at the clock. 10:00am isn't early at all. She sat up, smiling warmly at him as she stretched as well. “Good morning,” she spoke, pecking him on the cheek, “I love you.” Kouga scoffed at this, but returned the favor.

“If you love me so much, then where's all the action?” he asked innocently. He watched as Kagome blushed before playfully hitting him on the arm.

“Kouga! Jeez, get your mind out of the gutter, or you won't get anything--! Mm!” Kouga had pulled her under him, and began to assault her senses with a single ravishing kiss. Kagome moaned beneath him, arching her back, but both were brought back to reality when they heard a tiny yawn from outside their door. They quickly jumped off each other right before the door opened and Kagome's mother and Shinta were revealed. Kagome blushed while Kouga gave her a cocky grin. Kagome's mother padded her way to the bed, the small wolf youkai in tow.

“Kagome, why don't we go to the mall today? I hear there are some great sales, and I have plenty of money for all of you! Grandpa's still at Kyoto getting all his sutras and attending that mass convention… Besides, I need sometime to spend with my daughter's family! I'll go get Souta,” she said as she walked out of the room. `Oh that's right… Where was Souta? He wasn't at dinner yesterday, so where…?' Kagome sat in thought for a moment. Maybe he slept through it…? Kagome heard a loud `Really?!' come from down the hall, and the sound of running footsteps. Soon her little brother was hugging her tightly, crying viciously into her stomach. Kagome was slightly appalled.

“S-Souta?! What's wrong?” she asked, hugging her little brother, feeling the tears beginning to brim at her eyes. It had really been a long time.

“Kagome! You're back! I missed you so much! Mama said it was only for 10 months, but it felt like 500 years!” Kagome smiled at her brother.

“I feel the same way,” she said, hugging her brother tightly. Moments later, Souta had let her sister go, and she introduced him to Kouga and Shinta.

“So, this was the guy who was always fighting Inuyasha? I guess he got what he wanted, ne? Jeez, sis, I never thought you'd be the kind to suddenly go into bed with a guy.” Kagome blushed, and her mother scolded the poor boy. Kouga just wore a cocky grin, trying hard to suppress laughter. “Hey! It only had to have been like, a month before they did it, mom! Jeez!” Another small whack on the head, and Souta sat next to Kouga rather than his mother, staring at the small child between him and his sister. “So, this is the end product? She's pretty cute, sis! You guys did a good job on this one. Hey… Who did the tail come from…? He asked, while the small girl looked at him nervously.

“Ano… Stop, please… It's not nice… to stare…” she said. Souta gave Shinta a confused look, and turned to her sister shrugging.

“Well, Souta,” Kagome said smiling, “They come from both of us!” she grabbed Kouga's tail and her own, holding them up. Souta's eyes went wide, and he was instantly behind the two, petting their tails. Kagome lifted hers up to tickle his nose, and Kouga tickled his side. Soon, both had him pinned down, tickling him, with small yelps of `Mercy!' heard. A few moments later, they were settled again, and Souta sat next to his sister, talking to the small wolf next to him.

“Kouga, how old are all of you? I know werewolves age different than humans,” he asked. Kouga put a hand to his chin in thought, but shook his head.

“Kagome is roughly 517, and Shinta is 500. I'm guessing I'm about… 2,217 years old. That'd be… 22 years old in human years. I met Kagome when I was 1717. Since I was around 17-is, Kagome was my age, but now we're both looking around… 22 years old…? Shinta is 5. How old are you?” he asked, quirking a brow.

“I'm eight. So, if I were a werewolf, I'd bee 800?!” he asked, the gears in his brain beginning to move. Kouga nodded. Souta just sat there, his mouth agape. Kagome tried to hold back a laugh at the sight of his face, but she exploded into peals of laughter, the rest of her family soon joining in.

“Ano… Kyoko… I wonder how Lady Kagome and Lord Kouga are doing, don't you? I hope Remus hasn't found them…” Ginta wondered, staring out the window, watching people walk by down the street. He was clad in modern clothes, a pair of cargos and a John Deer shirt.

“Yeah… I wonder… Oh, it's almost time for the pups to get up… I'll be right back, love,” she said, kissing him on the cheek before sauntering her way upstairs. Ginta sighed. He had picked the right one. If he knew anything, Kouga was as happy with Kagome as he was with Kyoko.

((Clunk)) Ginta's nose twitched. He heard a few yelps, and ran upstairs, his eyes blazing with anger. He shoved the door open, witnessing his mate in the foul hands of Remus, both of them dangling outside of the window. His eyes narrowed dangerously. “What are you doing?! Let my mate go!” He bellowed. Remus smirked, licking Kyoko's cheek. She squirmed, and he held tighter, making her wince.

“Ah, but if I let her go, I will have come here for nothing… You want to keep her? I'll make a deal with you. If you do not agree, then, well… let's just say your pups won't have a mother…” he grinned, eyeing Ginta mysteriously. Ginta's shoulder's tensed, then slumped in defeat at his mate's whimpers. Remus held her tighter, making her yelp.

“Just give her back. I'll… do what you say…” he muttered, tears brimming at his eyes. Remus smirked.

“I knew you'd see it my way. Now,” he said, tossing the she-wolf at her mate, “This is what you must do…”

“Oh, Kagome dear, why don't you and Shinta go look for clothes? Take Souta with you. I'll wait right here and talk with Kouga,” Mrs. Higurashi exclaimed. Kagome nodded, heading off towards the kids section of the store. Mrs. Higurashi sighed, happy with seeing her daughter again. She turned to Kouga, “I'm glad you've made her so happy. I'm sure she's had her share of tragedies, as well as you.” Kouga smiled.

“She has been through a lot. The worst was after she had Shinta, when she found out Inuyasha had died. She was really sad. They were like best friends before that… They were really close. I thought that she would pick him over me, but… When she didn't, he went and sought out his half-brother. They dueled, and Inuyasha was killed. He was burned, and his ashes were used at the foot of the god tree for soil. After a few weeks, she was better, and she was happy again.

“Here they come. I'll let you talk to her about it later on. I think she should,” he said, giving the old woman a smile. She smiled back, and she knew that Kagome had picked the right man. He really was very nice, and handsome, to boot. And Kagome was happy. That really was all that mattered.

“Kagome? I'll be right back. I have to go to the store to pick up a few ingredients I forgot earlier. I'll be right back!” Mrs. Higurashi yelled up the stairs.

“Okay, mom! Bye!” came her daughter's cheery reply. She shook her head, smiling. She was so chipper, even after all the losses she suffered. Her dauther truly had incredible courage and endurance, both physically and emotionally. Mrs. Higurashi stepped out the door, inot the cool, crisp air.

“Ah, it feels nice, after a warm day like today” she said to no one in particular. She walked down a few blocks, but stopped at the sounds of a possible fight. She looked down the next alley, finding an auburn haired werewolf on the ground, blood all over her.

“Please, help,” came the raspy voice of the she-wolf, extending her arm towards her. Kagome's mother dashed forward, intending to help the poor woman. Her auburn bangs hid her eyes, and she fell on the ground. Mrs. Higurashi turned the wolf over onto her back, but her eyes were closed.

“Hello?! Are you alright?!” she yelled, holding the woman's head in her lap. Suddenly her eyes shot open, revealing blood red orbs. Mrs. Higurashi stood up, edging towards the end of the alleyway, only to receive a blow to the skull and blackness consume her. A small “Oh!” was heard before her limp body hit the concrete with a sickening thud. A black and white haired wolf, a male, stood above her, his hand in a fist. The auburn haired she-wolf walked over to the unconscious body, as if inspecting it.

Suddenly the two wolves turned their heads, coming face to face with Kagome, anger playing on her features. “Ginta… Kyoko… Why?” she asked, noticing jewel shards in each of their necks, along with the blood red eyes, glaring precariously at her. Kagome numblingly realized that they were under control, but not by the Shikon No Tama, but another jewel. A lone figure stepped out from the shadows, his brown tail swishing back and forth. He waved a hand, and the wolves, along with Kagome's mother vanished down the alley. Kagome tried to run after them, but the man stopped her, blocking her path. Kagome looked up at him, and her eyes widened in fear.

“Remus…” she whispered, her feet rooted to the ground. The man leaned against the wall, amusement evident on his features. “Why have you done this?!” Kagome yelled, her anger flaring. Remus just smirked. “What have you done to them? Where are you taking my mother?!” Remus pulled himself off of the wall, and leaned towards Kagome, giving her a chaste kiss. Kagome lurched back in disgust. “Answer me!” she bellowed.

“Oh, fine. Your friends, Ginta and Kyoko, are under my… surveillance, as it were. Once I threatened them, they abided willingly. The shards only helped them along the way, you see. Have you heard of the Nikon No Tama? The jewel of two souls? It's rumored to not exist, supposedly a myth. It's much stronger than the Shikon No Tama, by far. As for your mother, she is safely on her way to my den. I trust you know where it is,” he answered, a coy smile gracing his lips.

Kagome stepped back, her eyes narrowed. Remus smirked. “You must go visit. You have no choice if you wish to rescue your friends and mother from their fate,” he said mysteriously, “If not, then I might have to bring more of your loved ones into my plot.” Kagome growled at him.

“Leave my daughter and mate out of this, along with anyone else you would bait me with. I am not becoming your mate,” she added coldly. Remus smiled, ignoring the last statement.

“Then it's settled. Say good bye,” he said, a black aura nearing Kagome. She tried to run, but she suddenly fell to the floor, her legs useless.

“My legs…” she whispered, the blackness looming closer. As a last resort, Kagome howled into the night before becoming engulfed in the black aura before disappearing.

Niki: You like? I'll try to upload other fics, too, but I've got a lot on my plate right now. Please R&R, no flames! They burn my computer and I can't write!

Gary: Well, that was pretty good… For a girl… What's Remus planning?

Niki: Muahaha… you'll just have to find out! And no more female-hating! It should be easy for you to figure out, anyways, mister I-point-out-the-obvious-a-lot.

Gary: I hate you… And for anyone who still doesn't know who I am, I'm Niki's undeniably cool cousin! We all know that's the sole reason you all came here, anyways.

Niki: Oh shut up. You'll over-inflate your already inflated ego. Anywho, I posted that in one of my other stories, but I guess there are a few people out there who still don't know who he is. It's bound to happen! Anyways, Please R&R! And no flames, please. They burn my computer, and then I can't write!
