Story contains: LOT'S of action, some blood, romance, angst, erotica/hentai, also there will be an extremely deep and complex plot with twists that will make your head spin (LOL) and some other kinds things but you'll just have to read and see… but i promise one thing though: Nothing sick or too brutal is involved.

 

 

IMPORTANT: I've seen all the episodes up to 152, so for starters here's a few heads-ups: there is no Hakkudoushi, Naraku does not have the whole Shikon no tama, he has not gone through his `ultimate evolution' (the form that he assumes after mount hakkureizan (spell check?) collapses.) and lastly, MAJOR OOC warning.

Dark Soul of the Future, White Heart of the Past.

 

 

 

Chapter 1:The Nightmare comes to a closure… or does it?

 

 

 

The final battle with Naraku was now being fought, it had taken the group over 4 years to finally track down and corner the son of a bitch, it had been hard and time consuming but the plan they had forged was working: The main problem they've had when facing Naraku was that he always had an escape plan or his spawns were always there to be his sacrifices so he could escape, not this time though.

 

 

The first step had been that Kagome must learn to control her Miko powers, it would be critical when the plan would be put in motion, so while she learned to control and use her powers with Miroku and Kaede, with promises of death and mutilation from both Sango and Inuyasha should he as much as even THINK about copping a feel from her, Inuyasha and Sango were looking for Naraku.

 

 

While looking for Naraku they ran into Kouga who was also looking for him but not without first fighting with Inuyasha about him being near his woman. After finding out about this when they returned back to check on her progress, Kagome `sat' him yet again…

 

 

Sesshoumaru did not join in on their search. He practically almost fought with his `whelp of a brother' yet again but that was avoided my some sheer miracle, yet he did say that should Naraku cross his path he would send them someone to inform them where he was heading.

 

 

So, after about two more months of searching and training, Naraku was pinpointed and the plan was put in action: Using the almost complete Shikon shards to lure Naraku to the bone-eaters well, the reason why lure him there was because they had trained in that area, so they had the home field advantage, they would fight him there and then Kagome would use her new powers combined with the shikon shards to create a massive purifying barrier about 20 yards to all directions around the well, they pinned Naraku and themselves within the barrier while his spawns, Kagura and Kanna were left outside, while inside an all out war was waged between the most evil son of a bitch ever to walk the face of the earth and the really weirdly mixed pack of good guys.

 

 

The one played the most crucial part of all this was Kagome, the barrier she had trained all this time to erect was not normal, it wasn't just meant to keep a Youkai from leaving or entering but it was also meant to weaken the youkais inside the barrier and that would have caused Inuyasha and Kirara a serious handicap, especially to Inuyasha because the barrier might have reverted him to his human form, but now the long months of training were paying off.

 

 

So she had had to train to `see' the differences in everyone's souls and [You-ki], so she could make the barrier `accept' a certain youkai and Hanyou to enter without negative effects. It was working now, Naraku was drastically weakened by the barrier but that made Kagome into a sitting duck since maintaining the barrier forced her to remain still, so the others had to make sure none of Narakus tentacles reached her.

 

 

So, least to say was that everyone's adrenalin, determination, morale and enthusiasm was sky-rocketing, this was the true final battle with the hell spawn Naraku, the one who had destroyed so many lives and made their life more miserable than they could ever have imagined possible for 4 long years… now it was coming to an end at last… but first they had to be careful because even when weakened, Naraku still had a number of Shikon shards on him and even when weakened by the barrier, he was still a tough `ol bastard to deal with and not to mention the barrier would not last long, it was really draining to just create it alone and maintaining it was really tough on Kagome… but there were three things making both her and Inuyasha to keep themselves fighting this monstrous battle…

 

 

On Kagome, it was her love towards Inuyasha, the thought of Naraku not ruining anyone's life ever again and the fact that she and Inuyasha had made a promise to each other, which would be put into motion after Naraku was gone.

 

 

On Inuyasha, it was the almost un-containable feeling of joy and satisfaction that he could finally tear Naraku to pieces, then the fact that after this, Kikyo's soul would finally rest in peace and finally, the promise he had made to Kagome before the battle, the thought of what they had promised made him feel himself invincible… now he realised just how his dad had felt when he was fighting to protect his mother and him… proud and warm.

 

 

The battle lasted for what seemed like an eternity, while in reality it lasted for only 10 intense minutes… everyone fought with vigour and determination that would be remembered forever from this day on, the day when:

 

 

The two Youkai's, Shippo and Kirara

 

Houshi, Priest Miroku.

 

Tai-jya, Demon slayer Sango, also spell check on the Tai-jya please.

 

Hanyou, our favourite guy Inuyasha the Half-demon.

 

And a Miko, Kagome, the saviour from the future.

 

 

Put their forces together, ignored their differences and fought like a true pack to destroy a evil so great it made the nature itself wither just by touching it's shadow… the most evil Hanyou ever, Naraku the hell spawn who had been after the Shikon no Tama for over 50 years, the legendary jewel that could grant any Youkai the power of true immortality or to humans it would make any wish come true. Yet, in its long history, it has NEVER been used for righteous or good causes, today, that long history would end… no more would suffer because of it, no more would loose their souls because of it and no more people would stain it with their blood…

 

 

As the battle was closing in on it's climax, everyone was exhausted and battered from the fight, many insults and taunts had been exchanged between the two sides while it had seemed like the whole world had stopped just to watch this magnificent play of good and evil, the battle to decide who would posses the Shikon no Tama, who would be the survivor and who… would be dead… now it had came down to one last attack… the barrier was ready to collapse and they knew that if even one piece of Naraku were to survive the next attack, this nightmare would be repeated, so now… the next attack had either have to do the trick or they would be screwed…

 

 

“HAAAARRRGHH!!!” Roared Inuyasha as his sword, [Tetsusaiga] cleaved yet another huge lump of poisonous flesh from Narakus chest area and Miroku would then use his [Kazaana] to suck it away, Naraku Staggered backwards in his monstrous [Spider form] and at the same time Sangos Gigantic boomerang weapon flew through the air and cut two of his left legs off, Kagome was starting to feel like she would pass out any second, her breathing was heavy and rapid and she felt like her insides were weighting a ton but she refused to give up, too much had been sacrificed to reach this point… just a little longer…

 

 

Now was the time to finish Naraku off once and for all, there was one problem though, how would they be able to purify such and intense You-Ki in their weakened state? Naraku's energy was not dropping even if his physical power was which meant that any piece that survives the next attack, no matter how small, will eventually grow into this monster again… Naraku was one tough bastard; they had to admit that…

 

 

Then Inuyasha did something that made everyone think that `when did hell freeze over?' He actually came up with something purely brilliant! Even the way he said it made perfect sense making Kagome believe that she had entered `the Twilight zone'. His words were: “Listen up! Attacking separately with my sword and your holy powers is not enough! We need to focus all our power into a single attack and then press attack when his own guard is down so he can't concentrate his You-ki in time!”

 

 

While this was happening inside the barrier, on the outside the battle between Kouga, Kanna and Kagura had come to a stalemate for now, for the moment, Kouga, Kanna and Kagura who were all battered from their battle were silent as well. Kagura had stopped fighting for now to look at the situation more closely: if Naraku were to die now, she would be… free… as well as Kanna, she might actually attain something else besides that cold look in her face. Kouga on the other hand had had enough of his fight with the wind bitch, after she had tried to hammer it into his skull that she had no alternative because Naraku held her heart and she had no choice in the matter when it came to obey his orders, he had once again attacked her and accusing her of just trying to lie her way out of this. It had taken its sweet time, more beating on both sides and some spelling out to do but it finally sunk into his thick skull… that was another miracle, something actually sunk into Kougas brain!

 

 

Kouga did not forgive her, not by a long shot but for now he was satisfied not wasting anymore time with her considering that Naraku was being fought right in front of them. So for the moment, all three of them agreed to a very unsteady truce, with the exception of Kanna, she would have continued but her mirror had been fragmented during the battle so she could not continue anyway, so instead she was silent to all this.

 

 

Naraku was in a state of pure fury, his mind was so consumed with rage that he couldn't hear a word they had said, all he saw were two things: the annoying worthless little Hanyou that he had underestimated more than once and just the sight of him made him boil with pure anger. The other was the little mystery Miko, the one that's purity was too much to be from this world… how long he had wanted to hear her scream from pure pain for all the injuries she had caused him, not to mention the bitch looked just like Kikyo, the bitch his weaker human self, Onigumo had lusted after. Now though, he would eradicate them all, this small pack that had foiled his plans from time after time and now they dared to believe they… those worthless insects could destroy HIM, the great Naraku?! The though alone made him boil again and so he roared with a voice that echoed throughout the world and got ready to perform his final attack, the one he had been saving: `Infernal Venom Sphere'.

 

 

The group had to cover their ears and faces from the roar and from the wind wave it caused, then everyone could feel an enormous amount of evil energy gathering somewhere… they looked at Naraku and saw that his mouth was wide open and glowing with a sphere like ball inside it, it was swirling with black, red, green and violet colours and they could feel the tremendous amount of evil in it: it was so much that if it hit the ground it would take out at least half of the entire Musashi province…

 

 

The winds were picking up rapidly as the sphere was getting ready to fire, the barrier around them was crackling violently and in the middle everyone were furiously thinking just how to counter that kind of an attack?! Any physical contact with that sphere would cause it to explode and that would release a tremendous amount of [Shouki] and all other different kinds of poisonous clouds to spread with the wind to god knows how far…

 

 

Then in the middle of that typhoon, which was getting stronger with each passing second, Inuyasha looked at his father's fang, the sword had guarded him and the others for so long now… yet, against this attack, it could do very little: Kaze no Kizu would only cause the sphere to explode right away and because of the wind he would not be able to reach Naraku in time to stop him form firing. If only there was way to turn this tremendous You-ki against him…! `Wait a second' he thought, then a realisation hit him, there was a large chance it would fail because this was a demon blade after all but… there was nothing left to lose!

 

 

He turned to look first at Kagome then at Miroku… yes, it might work! He then yelled: “Listen up guys! I'm only going to say this once! Don't argue but just do it!” That got both of their attention and then he continued with a dead serious voice: “I want you both to channel whatever power you have left to my sword! After you have done that, i will finish Naraku off!” They would have protested but the serious look on his face made them die in their throats, nothing came out…

 

 

Kagome was thinking though: `what is he thinking?! Tetsusaiga is a demon blade! If i channel my miko powers into it, it will turn against him because once it leaves my body i won't be able to control it! But… that look he has… he is so, confident about this, he trusts our power with all he has, so i must do the same and believe in his strength too!' Kagome looked at Miroku and nodded to him, he too nodded hesitantly and then placed his staff in from of him and began to chant something, Kagome on the other hand placed her arms together and prayed to her self: `Please, help Inuyasha! Don't think he is a threat, he is… a man with a heart so pure that he can't be a demon, he is not a human or a demon, he is the one i love and i trust him with my life!'

 

 

Inuyasha could see the sphere inside Narakus mouth to be growing in both size and intensity, it was only a matter of seconds now… then he saw his blade beginning to glow in purplish, white, violet and red colour, he could feel and enormous amount of spiritual power swirling along it's surface: all was in there now, his human soul, his demon side, Kagome's miko powers and Mirokus [Houriki]… he looked back at this friends, his pack, one that had taken years to reach this level of trust, friendship and loyalty. Especially that miko from the future, she was the one who had showed him the beautiful side of this life, that there was hope even for a lowly Hanyou like him. He smiled to her and the others, even if he was to die right now… he would not regret his life, he now had a `family' he could trust with everything… even with his life…

 

 

Sango was looking at Inuyasha with Kirara to shield her from the wind, the blade he held could not possibly be real, the purifying powers of both a houshi and a miko were mingling inside it… that sword was now a double edged blade, it was stable but it could only be used once, she knew that even if for some reason both a purifying power and You-ki were you mingle, no matter how well it was controlled it was unstable, if Inuyasha did not get Naraku with this next attack, whatever it is… they would all die, and if something went wrong even slightly with the balance of those powers, there was no telling how much destruction would occur to the land around them!

 

 

Then she saw Inuyasha smile at them, it was not the smile they saw now and then but one that told them all that he was happy, truly happy… it made even her smile, because now that you think about it, who would have ever thought that this mixed pack could be this unified to do battle side-by-side and even have a Hanyou as a pack leader? No matter how this turns out, this day will be remembered forever…

 

 

After smiling at everyone, Inuyasha turned to stare at Naraku, he put the blade over his shoulder and lifted his arm and raised his middle finger at him and said: “Now, you ugly piece of shit… let's take this dance to It's climax and don't fall behind you asshole!” He then made a gesture with his middle finger that signalled `come on, if you dare.'

 

 

Everyone braced themselves as Naraku roared again and Inuyasha dashed toward him, Tetsusaiga raised above his head with both arms while Naraku first drew his head back and then lunged it forward suddenly and the sphere ball of pure evil flew towards the charging Inuyasha and for everyone who watched this majestic scene, it all looked like it was moving in slow motion… the scene itself was like from some legend that had been drawn by and artist: A silver haired warrior with a divine blade was charging towards the ultimate evil… the colours swirled around them like wildfire and it was truly a scene to remember…

 

 

Inuyasha watched as the sphere flew towards him, his mind and eyes worked with never easing franticness to find the single spot in all that chaos where he must cut it… then when he could feel the immense heat and evil of the sphere burning his skin through his torn up fire rat robe… he saw it, the point where to attack! He jumped straight at the sphere and raised Tetsusaiga for the attack that would turn Narakus own attack against him, the only way to attack it was to have enough purifying power inside the sword so it could make the necessary amount of damage to start his ultimate attack…

 

 

He swung his sword in arc from above his head to his foot level and as his sword made the cut in the tremendous amount of evil energy around the sphere he yelled with all his might:

 

 

=Bakkuryuha!!=

 

 

Then the enormous tornado that had killed the Youkai even his father couldn't kill, Ryukotsusei, consumed the sphere and he could see not only his own aura but the aura of Miroku and Kagome combine in it and after what seemed like an eternity, the tornado turned the sphere to return back at it's caster and it all happened so fast that Naraku didn't have a snow balls chance in hell to avoid it…

 

 

First the winds from Bakkuryuha tore Narakus body so badly that all his defences fell completely and then the main course hit him, his own attack mixed with the aura of everyone else's… giving it so much power that the collision caused such a strong shockwave that Inuyasha flew back and crash landed right at Kagome's feet but immediately stood into a sitting position as the winds came into their extremely violent climax and all that could be heard from it's centre where Naraku was being engulfed and his body was vaporizing with extreme rate was his last words ever: “Th… THIS CANNOT BE!!!” And then a massive blast of light engulfed everything in it's blinding rays in the next 30 yards in all directions while a strong wind unlike any other ever witnessed before blew past them into all directions and it made the barrier shatter completely while everyone just tried to keep themselves from being blown into every last direction by the wind…

 

 

Nobody knew how long they had been out cold, yet, as they slowly woke up, all they heard was the birds singing and they felt the sun on their skins… as they all slowly moved to stand up, they saw the clearing where they had been fighting… the forest was alive, the grass was not dead, the sky was blue and the scent… Narakus scent was gone… not a trace was left, it ended on a rather… large crated in front of the bone eaters well, Narakus scent was heavy on that spot… but it was covered by an even stronger scent: Naraku's Death.

 

 

As realisation started to grasp everyone's brains, Miroku looked at his cursed hand and after removing the prayer beads from around it and pointing it away… nothing happened, he then slowly and shakily looked at his palm and for second he was just, froze… then tears slowly began to swell in his eyes: the Kazaana was gone! His palm was intact! He pointed it to others and they at that instant backed away slightly, then they too noticed it… the ultimate proof that Naraku was really gone…

 

 

It took everyone less than a second before they made a very tight group hug, all the while jumping around and laughing with all that their lungs could muster… it was OVER! It was truly over!! After 4 years of fighting, after 4 long years of never ending trials… Naraku was gone for good!!

 

 

A little away from them, both Shippou and Kirara were also jumping around, Shippou was yelling Narakus is dead over and over again while Kirara just mewing, jumping, rolling and doing all kinds of things and her tails were swinging from side to side with vigour.

 

 

Kouga was howling in to the sky… even if it was midday… with joy, the howl carried it's way all the way back to his den were his tribe members heard it after the rejoiced from the news the news began to spread, Naraku had made a LOT of enemies in the past 4 years and many would be more than delighted to hear that he was dead.

 

 

Sesshoumaru, who was not too far from the battlefield, also heard the howls and for the briefest moment you could swear he smirked before his face became stone cold again, the was thinking: `So, this Sesshoumaru did not need to interfere with your battle, whelp. If Inuyasha was all it took to kill Naraku, then this Sesshoumaru had indeed overestimated him.' he then walked away, towards Rin and Jaken.

 

 

Kagura was now conscious too and she could swear the headache she had would last for the rest of her eternal life… then she felt something… a soft beating like feeling in her chest… her red eyes widened instantly and her clawed had moved to he point where her heart was and for a moment Kagura could swear she would cry… for the first time, she felt her heart beating in her chest… not just see it beating in Narakus palms but actually feel it beating in her own chest!

 

 

She would have screamed with joy but remembered that even if Kouga was not going to kill her right away, he would in a moment. She wasn't really afraid of him, she knew she could take that wolf down if she really tried, but with Inuyasha and the rest here as well, it would be wiser to just make a break for it now.

 

 

She slowly picked up Kanna who was laying next to her all the while clutching onto that broken mirror of hers… but as soon as she picked her up she let go of the mirror and instead clutched onto her kimono and while still asleep mumbled: “Kagura-nechan…” Kagura smiled, she had a soul now but how she would react to this fact was beyond her knowing. With as little noise as possible, she reached for her feather and after making it huge she flew away thinking: `Someday, i will repay this to you all, i am free like the wind and my little sister… what did i just think? Little sister… heh, i like the sound of that. Anyway, someday, i will repay you all for what you have for the two of us even if you don't realise it yourselves…' and with that thought, the two disappeared like the wind…

 

 

Kouga looked at the weird pack at the battlefield, to think that those people did something nobody believed possible… humans, Hanyou and two Youkais actually getting along and trusting one another… then his eyes laid upon Kagome, she was laughing while Inuyasha was also laughing and was holding her in mid-air around her waist and was swinging around and around with her, this sight made Kouga sigh and he thought: `Her smile and her laughter, one of the very reasons i love her… now that this long nightmare has ended, it would be the time to claim her as my own but… from the howls i received back from my den, it seems like the wolves are gathering to celebrate this occasion… so sadly my Kagome, i must come and take you as my rightful mate another time. Now that Naraku is gone i have all the time in the world.' and with that, he dusted off in a tornado.

 

 

After about 10 minutes of laughing, talking, cheering and again laughing, the group searched the area for the shards that Naraku had had. After gathering them all and merging them, the jewel was almost complete, if Kagome was right, only three were missing now… two from Kougas legs and one that they had no clue as to where it was… but that would come later, now they would return to the village, lick their wounds which weren't much but they still hurt a lot, then there would be a huge party for the heroes who vanquished Naraku the hell spawn and after that, the promise that Inuyasha and Kagome made would also be put into motion…

 

 

As the chattering group was walking towards the village, they did not know that in some distance away, a badly wounded figure was walking towards the village, the figure was leaning on a bow as it walked and was only thinking one thing: `Damn it! I can't die now… i need just a little more time! If i don't warn Inuyasha and my reincarnation soon… this world will be doomed! I must make it… she must not go through the well!!' and the figure kept walking, while leaving small peaces of clay behind it as it kept walking and kept leaning onto her bow…

[Shouki]: If my memory serves me right, it is the name of the acid like poisonous gas that Naraku's body could produce.

 

[Houriki]: Buddhist magic, if I'm right.
