Chapter 7: The Voiceof the sealed oneinside the endless time…

"Time, the eternal mystery… what is it? Where does start and where does it end? Why is it always moving forward and never backwards? Also, if you could dive inside it… what would you bring with you?" - Unknown

*Inside the well.*

Kagome was surrounded by the familiar blue light, she knew that Inuyasha would be alright and after the fight was over he would come for her… yet, she couldn't shake this eerie feeling somewhere deep inside her that something was not right, that she had missed something or something really bad was going to happen…

`No… I am just being paranoid, it must be because me and the others are still settling on the thought that Naraku is gone… or because after 4 years of surviving his traps and plans has made us a bit too jumpy, that must be it, so just calm Kagome, nothing bad is going to happen…' She thought to herself, she looked at the blue streams of light around her and couldn't help but chuckle at the reality of all this: After seeing all those movies about time travelling, it was still hard to believe that she, a regular high school girl was doing the very thing that science had declared impossible and to top it off, the key to do it was right at her homes front yard! Not some fancy machine or a massive gateway, just a old, dried up wooden well… it was just so hard to believe, a simple well made of wood allowed her to do something that even all the scientists in the world could only dream about…

*The creepy place with the creepy being.*

The being was grinning like a madman, now was the time… he felt that enough of his powers had been restored to make take the final steps towards freedom, he then felt that one of those with the `ability' was now here... after lowering his grind, the being began to chant once again: "Shakahaga dasaraga, jahasaka frashanaka…" and so on, he kept doing it without stopping to breathe until the he felt his heart stir even more, it was time…

*Back with Kagome.*

Kagome was just about to exit the blue light and land to her time but then a voice reached her ears… it was… low, enticing and was more like a dark wind echoing in her mind, she didn't know where it was coming from but every inch of her mind, body and heart told her to go to where it was coming from, except a tiny part in her soul was screaming for her not to go… yet, the words were mesmerizing and alluring, Kagome felt her body trembling and her breathing was getting heavier, if someone could see her eyes, they were slowly becoming glass like, almost blank, her pupils trembling as she felt the words touch every inch of her mind and body, making her feel dizzy and more like a zombie… she tried to resist the voice but the more she did, the more her body began to ache, ache with need to find the source and after a minute of this… she turned around and began to `swim' towards the voice, voice emitting from somewhere beyond time…

Kagome could not explain what was happening, as she `swam' through the ocean of blue light, she could feel a lot of different feelings coursing through her… or more like different kinds of, `feelings of each era', it was impossible to put in words but if it was an era of war, she felt anxious and scared, if it was an era of peace, it sent a calm and relaxing feeling… and yet, as her mind and body were completely absorbed into finding the source of the voice, the small part of her soul kept screaming for her to turn back but with little success… then, after what felt like eternity, she saw the `end' of the road… where many lights were mixed into waves of light and in the middle of it, a figure was bound into a magic circle, even if her body and mind were acting on their own, she still could still feel the immense magic and spiritual power in the circle… it was so… intense and intimidating that she was already sweating and breathing heavily…

The being felt her presence, she was here, right in front of him… yet, he couldn't open his eyes yet, it ticked him off somewhat… even if he was still weak he could smell her scent and feel her aura, her scent was very pleasant and her aura was so pure… purest he'd ever felt, so innocent and yet so strong… but, mixed with her scent was another scent, also a strong one… yet, what was it? It was neither a man nor a monster, more like both together… it did not anger him, more like intrigued and fascinated him, he definitely wanted to meet the owner of that scent and have a nice chat with him… but for now, he stopped chanting, the person had arrived and he needed to breathe too…

Kagome's mind snapped back to reality as the words stopped, frantically she looked around and noticed she was still inside the well, yet, this place was unfamiliar to her, the lights were different and there was a very strong magical presence here, more stronger and older than she could imagine, as if this entire `room' was made purely out of magic and spells… she asked herself with a voice barely above a whisper: "W… where… a… am i? what is this… place?" She didn't expect an answer but she got one, in a form of a voice that held age, power and something that made her mind whisper to her: `Danger'… the voice said: "You are standing inside the stream of time, welcome…"

Kagome looked at the source of the voice and gasped, she saw a red magic circle hanging in mid-air with many symbols and incantations that made no sense to her, yet there were six that did, five kanji letters forming the words: `Faith', `Respect', `Charity', `Strength' and `love', then the last one behind the being meant `Time', she found herself thinking as she took in the circle and the being that was trapped in it: `What is that?! That circle… the power in it is… overwhelming! I can't stop trembling, it is just so intense… who is that bound into it? He looks human but, every last nerve and instinct in my head is telling me it is not, it is not a Youkai either, what is it? also… that voice just now… was it him?! What's going on?!' She hesitantly took a few steps backwards but froze again when he said with a sterner voice: "HOLD IT!" and she did, her body was refusing to obey her, fear was creeping it's way all the way from her toes to her spine and from her spine to her neck, from there, it went straight to the very core of her soul…

The being still couldn't open his eyes, yet he could smell her fear and anxiousness… he didn't like it, if she was afraid he would never get her close enough… so he asked with a normal voice, which held no anger: "What is your name young one?" Kagome tensed at that, the voice he had used just a few seconds ago made her freeze with fear while this voice calmed her somewhat, then, against better judgement she answered: "K…Kagome…" the being smiled with his head pointed to the floor and thought: `Kagome… Kagome, Kagome, Kagome… it has a nice bring to it…' he then replied to her: "Well, Kagome, I must say I am surprised… I never thought the first being I would talk to in many millenniums would have such a… beautiful name." This made Kagome look at him with wide-eyes but of course he did not see it.

As much as she tried to suppress it, Kagome could not help but blush from the comment, yet, she still couldn't shake away the feeling of dread about this being… she asked while trying to keep herself calm: "Umm… excuse me but… wha… who are you?" The being raised an eyebrow in surprise and thought: `Not only strong and pure, but polite too… asked `who' I was instead of `what' I was…' he then wanted to be sure about this so he asked: "Why do you wish to know `who' I am instead of `what' I am?" Kagome felt a bit more relieved but still her mind was telling her to run, before answering she made sure that the nearly complete Shikon no tama was tugged beneath her school uniform, just in case, then she answered: "Well… even if you aren't human, it is not an excuse to be rude, even monster have a name so…" she was cut off by the beings roaring laughter.

The being laughed, he couldn't help it, this girl was too much… even if it's not human that's no excuse to be rude? He had to remember that one… after his laughter settled down he raised his face, eyes still closed and said with an amused voice: "Young one, as much as I like the way you're thinking… and as much as I hate to do this, I have little choice or patience left." Kagome was confused but then a sudden panic rushed through her and she realised she had to get out of here and fast but it was too late, the being suddenly opened it's eye for a fraction of a second but it was enough, Kagome felt her very soul freeze and her body went stiff like a wooden board, her eyes turned glassy again and her arms slumped, yet she stood up like a statue and could only think: `What…what was that?! I couldn't even see what those eyes looked like and… even before I could realise anything, it was like a huge, icy clawed arm squeezed my soul and heart with a vice grip… my body… it's not responding! This is like being under someone's spell, yet, I can't sense any magic being placed, what is going on? All I felt was the magic in the circle and the room, but what did he do to me…? Or… what is he going to make me do now?!' she thought frantically, scared out of her mind…

The being smirked, then grimaced, he hated doing this… making someone into his puppet, it was against everything he had sworn to undo… yet, he had little choice, if she had left this place he would never be free again, so when he got over his bad feeling he said with a mystical voice: "Walk towards me." And as much as Kagome wanted to resist, she couldn't, she without being able to control her body began walking towards him, all the while trying to figure out what he wanted… yet, as she walked closer to him, she felt the magic in the room and the circle flicker violently, as if warning about something… she stopped in front of him, her head coming to his reaching to his neck because he was in mid-air, he then said with the same voice: "Now, put your arm inside each kanji mark and pull the orbs out…" Kagome immediately thought: `Orbs? Take them out? What does he mean?'

Unable to do anything but obey, her arm went to the first kanji and as her arm touched it, she felt a barrier around it and was panicking, was it going to burn her? Or worse? But much to her and the beings relief her arms passed it like water and ironically, that was the feeling she received and that's how also looked like when her arm went inside it, like pushing an arm to pool of water, the surface rippled and it felt cold in there… her arm disappeared inside it until grasping something… her soul screamed not to pull it out and her mind was clawing at her body to stop but it was useless, she pulled it out and saw it… it was beautiful, a deep blue ocean coloured orb shining with light blue and white light with a golden kanji on the surface, it read `Faith'… she felt the immense magic inside that made the power in the Shikon no tama feel like nothing… or to be precise, the jewel's power was backing away from the orbs power… then, the orb suddenly started to float and shot away from her so fast she didn't see where it went but it was gone…the being grinned feral like as it felt more power returning to his body… then he said: "Continue to do the same with the others.' and she did, one by one, her mind and soul screaming louder and louder for her to stop all the way to the point her eyes were shedding tears on their own, yet, she never made a sound…

As Kagome's arm reached inside the final Kanji behind the being, the one with `Time' written on it, when her arm touched it's surface her mind was assaulted with images, images of beings… beings older than time itself, tearing up cities and people like paper, they seemed more like… mindless monster than organised Youkais, even if it was an image, she could still feel their bloodlust, their madness and their unquenchable need to kill… then, three beings were also fighting, with powers unlike anything she had ever felt, they killed and killed, dozens, hundreds of people… she didn't see their eyes but when one turned to look at her, it had icy-blue glowing eyes and the instant it looked her way she heard three phrases:

"I will stop the eternal cycle…"

"Seduced by Light, Swallowed by Darkness, what is the difference…?"

"You two would betray me?"

Her arm was trembling and did not move, her mind was blank from the terror she felt in those images, what was that? What was going on?! The being however, watched with gritted teeth at her actions and thought: `What is this? Why is she hesitating? What makes her resist my order?' then he said with more force: "TAKE THE ORB OUT, NOW!!" Kagome tried, with all the strength he had to stop, to run from this… thing… she was doing it, her arm refused to move… until, she heard him say with a dark voice: "Take it out now, or I will kill the one who's scent is all over you…" Kagome's mind immediately went blank and only one picture, one face was there: Inuyasha… she knew who he meant by that, the thought of Inuyasha dying, was least to say… paralyzing, so, with her mind blank, her body took over and without hesitating she pushed it into the kanji and pulled out the last orb and just like the others before it, it shot away to god-knows-where…

The circle crackled and dimmed rapidly, Kagome could feel the room and the circle lose it's magic with a rapid rate, the chains on the beings arms seemed to weaken as well and now, in place of magic she felt something more powerful… a power that made her feel like her soul was bleeding, begging to run, run far away from this…presence she felt, Kagome could not move her head even for an inch but she saw massive amounts of dark red and black like `streams' starting to flow into the room and flow with a solid concentration towards the being, who was now roaring with a voice that made the reality inside the room shake and tremble, yet, she could not move a muscle, her mind could not form a single thought, the power around her was making her brain go numb and her mind was going blank, then, the being while still roaring, shook the chains around it's body with brutal amount of force until… they snapped and he smiled with mad like smirk… until he hit the ground, that's when he slumped forward and just kept crouching there, naked like a newborn baby and was heaving heavy amounts of air until settling down a bit.

He felt incredible, he was still weak and all but to be free from those chains… to feel your own weight pressing against your legs, to feel your own heartbeat, to be able to breathe like this and to be able to FEEL anything at all… he then stood up, majestically slowly and for the first time since he can remember, he stretched his muscles and bones, creating many cracking sounds but each and every one of them felt so good… Kagome just stood there, watching but now thinking again: `What have I done? This… presence, it feels… so intense I could pass out for just feeling it… what is he? Who is he? What is happening…? Inuyasha… I'm sorry, I screwed up again…' Then the being looked around it and saw the streams gathering slowly, he grinned and then after fisting it's arms and stretching them to his sides, he roared again, making Kagome want to cover her ears but she couldn't move… what had he done to her? Then the streams started to violently flow into the beings body and she felt the power and aura becoming more and more intense… she could have sword she heard something crying out… was the world… was the world… screaming from terror?

*Outside the well…*

(Notice, only about 4 seconds have passed here, the time inside the well passes rather differently you know?)

"So, which of you three shit heads wants to die first? One at a time or all together?" Said Inuyasha with a lethal smirk while crackling his claws, Kouga only snarled and crackled his claws too, the three Youkais only growled and got ready to attack but just at that instant, the earth around the well began to shake violently and everyone froze and I mean EVERYONE, even Kirara and the others who were just about to come into visual range, they froze from terror as a very strong pillar of light suddenly shot out of the well, the light was violet, dark red, black and golden brown coloured, the light became more and more intense so everyone had to cover they're eyes while they all felt something more ancient than they could imagine approaching at an extreme rapid rate… it was making it hard for everyone to breathe, it was SO intense… then as the light began to fade slowly, they saw a figure stepping out of the well and was holding another figure… Inuyasha, Kouga, the three Youkais, Kikyou, Kaede, Kirara, Sango, Miroku and Shippo, all of them felt one single feeling as they stared at the figure: Terror…
