~~Chapter one: A new moon's dance~~
Kagome pushed stray ebony locks of hair away from her chocolatey eyes. Her face almost always glew with warmth and happiness. Her hair shimmered under the radiant sun as it reached a little past her shoulders. Kagome was indeed different from other sixteen year old girls. It all happened a year ago when Kagome fell down her shrine well and went through time to the feudal era of Japan. Kagome had met an inu hanyou pinned to a tree under a spell to eternally be in a deep sleep. She'd freed Inuyasha. Inuyasha tryed to kill her for a special jewel called the shikon no tama. So, a necklace was put around his neck to make him fall to the ground whenever Kagome said the word "sit". Youkais tryed to steal the jewel. Kagome tryed to save the jewel from one of the jewel seekers and accidentily broke the jewel of the hanyou's desire. The jewel was desired by many due to the fact that it granted one wish. Inuyasha and Kagome now work together to piece the jewel together again. Kagome has powers to see the jewel's pieces. Kagome and Kikyo are the only ones who can see jewel shards. They both are also mikos with special powers
Kikyo was a woman whom Inuyasha loved. A tragic event occured that tore the two apart. Kikyo thought Inuyasha betrayed her and left him in a deep sleep fixed to a tree. Naraku was their true deceiver. Naraku inflicted a deadly wound on Kikyo when he was disguised as Inuyasha. The wound killed her, but an evil witch brought her to life once more. Now, Inuyasha is in love with Kagome and Kikyo and can't decide who to take. If he chooses Kikyo he'll have to go to hell with her, but Kagome wants Inuyasha to live and be happy.
Inuyasha crossed his arms in his red yukata. "Feh. Where's Kagome?" He mumbled to himself as he searched for her frantically. His dog ears that were atop of his long back reaching silver hair were twitching. "Damn. Tonight is the night of the new moon. The night I transform into a wimpy human." Inuyasha spoke to himself as his amber eyes glanced up to the sky. Dusk was approaching.
Kagome spun around and began to hum. She'd been in dance classes for twelve years now, but with her new adventures of the shikon no tama Kagome had to make special class arrangements that no one really knew about. "La la la da da la di da da do da." Kagome stopped spinning and singing when she heard a rustle from a distant. "Hmm? Who's there?" Kagome called out.
A man with long black hair and brown eyes came out from the bush he was hidden within. His attire consisted of what seemed to be a baboon pelt. "Please forgive me Miss Kagome." The man spoke with a wicked tone.
Kagome gasped and dropped some herbs she'd been gathering in between her humming, singing and dancing. "N-Naraku?" Kagome slowly backed away until she hit the sturdy trunk of a tree. She had not been cornered by Naraku like this before. This man Inuyasha despised, ,Naraku. Inuyasha had wanted revenge on Naraku since the day he'd found out that Naraku had set Kikyo's death even if Kikyo was alive now.
Naraku smirked and came towards the frightened girl who had forgotten her bow and arrows at the campsite she'd stayed in with her friends. Naraku looked over Kagome. Her outfit was different from the other young women's in the feudal era. She wore a short skirt that came two inches above her knee. The skirt was green. She also wore a white t-shirt with a green sailor's collar that had a red sash. Naraku's smirk widened. "You're all alone and have no where to go. All for me. I could kill you or take you to my hidden castle and torture you."
Kagome fell back onto the ground. "Naraku! I'll..I'll."
"You'll what? Kill me with your bare hands?" Naraku glared at the girl.
Kagome trembled when Naraku pinned her against the tree. "You may take me hostage or kill me, but I know my friends will come for me."
Naraku began to laugh in a hysterical way. "Your little friends won't know where you are if you're in the new location of my hidden castle."
Kagome tryed to fight against Naraku's grip, but failed.
Naraku snorted. "Hmph. Wench! Your getting on my last nerve!" Naraku yelled this before knocking the petite form into a dark world.
Inuyasha's sensitive nose picked up on Naraku's scent. "Naraku.." Inuyasha's voice trailed off before he darted into the direction of the scent.
Mirouku sighed. His soft brown eyes were closed. He was sitting back against a tree in the campsite. He wondered where Inuyasha and Kagome were. He looked at his wind tunnel. The hole in his hand he was cursed with. It could suck up anything in it's path. The hole would grow everytime he used it. He feared the day when it'd suck him in. He despised Naraku for cursing him with the hole. Other than the hole in his hand he was a regular perverted monk. His small black ponytail blew with the breeze. His purple robes that hung over his black pants began to sway with the howls of the growing winds. He hadn't sensed Naraku and neither had the small neko that could transform, Kirara. The two-tailed neko mewed in her sleep. she rested next to her master.
Sango looked to Mirouku and smiled before leaning back to rest against a rock. Her long black hair was put in a high ponytail. Her eyes were a cobalt brown. She wore a black combat suit with pink shoulder and knee pads. She was a youkai exterminator and the owner of Kirara. She was a year younger than Mirouku. She was eighteen. Mirouku always acted perveted which she disapproved of, but for some reason she seemed to like him. She used a huge boomerang when in combat. Sango had lost her family due to Naraku. All she had left was her kid brother, Kohaku. Kohaku was under a control of Naraku's. Sango, Mirouku, Inuyasha and Kagome all worked together to gather jewel shards and chase Naraku.
Shippo, a red headed fox youkai was only about eight. His parents were killed by two youkai. He naturally traveled with the group due to Kagome who treated him kindly and like a child. He wore a small brownish vest with patterned lighter colored shirt underneath. His bottom part of the outfit was a darker blue. He slept next to Kirara peacefully as night took over and Mirouku and Sango also slept.
Inuyasha came to where Naraku was, but he was to late. Naraku had left minutes ago. "Damn. Kagome's scent is also mixed in! What'd he do with her!? That bastard!" Inuyasha fouly cursed before leaping off to search for Naraku. He covered all the areas with Naraku's scent. He finally came upon a small, strange clearing and stopped. The scent cut short right here. He glanced up. "Oh great!" He shouted when his long silver hair turned black. His ears were now human ears. His amber eyes were now a cobalt blue that looked almost purple. Inuyasha threw his hands in the air. "Was there a better time!?" Right after these words were spoken it began to rain. Inuyasha mumbled curses and stalked off back to his campsite. He saw his friends had left the campsite. "Perfect..." Inuyasha sarcasticly muttered. Inuyasha walked deeper into the forest until he came upon an abandoned hut. He walked in deciding to get rest and look for Kagome first thing in the morning.
