I'm really sorry for the ungodly long delay. I just got back from a weeks vacation. In Fl. and I couldn't get on the internet while I was there. Well here's the 3rd chappie, hope you enjoy it.

New Beginnings

I wasn't surprised when I was greeted with a stunned silence. The thought of me leaving the group would come as a shock to anyone of them since I've been with them for2 years straight.

"Kagome, why?" Sango asked, when she finally found her voice. I guess I do owe an explanation to them. It wouldn't be fair to the others if I were to leave without a reason. Well here goes.

"It has nothing to do with you guys. It's just that I've grown tired of Inuyasha sneaking off to his clay whore in the middle of the night, and me playing the oblivious little shard detector. I've loved him since I first started traveling with him and all this time he's shown no acknowledgement of my love and now I'm leaving."

I knew that this would lead to a large lapse of sadness for my friends but I had to leave, otherwise I'd end up doing something like committing suicide from depression.

"Momma does this mean that I'll never see you again?" Shippo asked.

I couldn't possibly leave my adopted son in the care of that violent bastard so my only choice was to bring him with me. I didn't really mind that much and it would be nice for me to have some friendly company.

"Well I don't know about Sango and Miroku but you'll see me everyday because you're coming with me."

"Really? I can really travel with you? Oh joy I thought I was gonna have to stay with that mean Inuyasha and that evil Kikyo. Not that there's anything wrong with Sango and Miroku, it's just that things wouldn't be the same without you here too."

It was nice to see Shippo so happy and excited. Whenever he's happy, I'm happy. (A/n: WAFF).

"I understand why Lady Kagome is leaving and I think the rest of us do too." Miroku said. "I think we should respect her decision and wish her the best on her travels."

"I agree with ye. Kagome if ye feel that ye must leave the group then let no one stop ye. I'm sure that ye will be safe during your journey." Kaede said. The old miko was always there when I needed her advice, and this was one of those times.

"Well I guess I should go get my stuff together, I'll be leaving after dinner."

As I went to the other room to pack my things my nose started to feel tingly, I was about to cry. That's not going to happen, I haven't cried for years and I'm not going to start now no matter how much I want to. However my body had far different plans that my mind as the hot tears coursed down my cheeks. I quickly wiped them away and finished packing. I made sure not to leave any traces of tears before I went back out.

"Okay, Sango I'll make sure to take good care of Shippo and myself. And Miroku please try to behave, thank you for everything Kaede, I'll try to come and visit you guys."

The sun was high in the sky and it was quite warm for early spring morning. I never liked goodbyes and this one is the hardest. Inuyasha isn't with the others but that's okay because he doesn't deserve my goodbye anyway. I haven't seen him since our encounter last night and I prefer it that way.

"Kagome, wait" Sango called. "Take this. You can use it better than I can."

It was Sango's Katana; I've been training with it so I could use something other than bows and arrows.

"Sango I can't take your favorite sword, it means too much to you."

"Yes but I use my Hiraikotsu more than I've ever used this and you're much better with it. Just take it and use it well."

I saw the tears that she was desperately holding back and almost started crying myself.

"Lady Kagome take this" Miroku handed me a string of prayer beads, they were black and had red mixed in with them.

"They're my most powerful prayer beads and they should aid you in your travels."

I was about to protest it but thought better of it. It was getting really dark and I had to get going if I was going to find a good place to camp for the night.

"Thanks again you guys, I'll try to come back to visit soon. Take care." With that I was off, with Shippo on my bag.

We've traveled for about three days without any real altercations. It made me suspicious that things could go so smoothly when I'm by myself, especially when I'm like a danger magnet.

"Shippo, I'm going to the hot springs, would you like to come?" I knew that having Shippo bathe with me would seem improper but he's still young so it's okay.

"No, momma. I'll stay here and watch out for any demons and protect the camp." He said. In such a short time he's become much more mature and protective, it made me proud.

"Alright, but be careful. If trouble comes you know where to find me, the spring isn't that far."

"Okay momma."

As I walked towards the spring I felt the faint presence, but I just shrugged it off. I've been on edge lately and I'm probably just imagining things. I stripped down to my birthday suit and sunk into the pleasantly hot water. I let out a sigh of relief as the water relaxed my tense muscles. Then I felt the demon aura again, this time it was stronger, so I decided to investigate.

What I found was least expected.

It was Sesshoumaru soaking a little ways away from me. He was submerged from the waist up, but what I saw was far from disappointing. He had well defined chest muscles and I saw the beginning of a six-pack. Looks like fluffy was holding out on us under all those layers. In also noticed something rather strange. He hasn't picked up on my scent yet, but that would make sense since we're in water. Then he did something that would've put me in a coma, had this been years ago. He turned as if to face me and stood up.

Yay!! The 3rd chapter. This one seems pretty pointless though, but it helps the plot. Once again I'm sorry for the long delay, I just got back from vacation. Oh and for those of you waiting for the limes and lemony goodness please be patient, I guarantee that there will be limes and lemons before chapter 10. so please bear with me. Heres a little mat equation for you to think about.
