Finally I get to go on my date with Hojo. He is everything NOT Inuyasha. Hojo is kind, thoughtful, caring, and totally perfect. Inuyasha is an inconsiderate JERK. Why am I thinking about Inuyasha, tonight is my night for happiness.

*Ding Dong*

“Mom could you get that?”

“Hello Hojo, Kagome will be down in a second, would you like to come in”

“Thank you Mrs.Higirashe” Hojo said as he stepped through the threshold.

“Hello Hojo” I greet him as I walk down the stairs.

“Wow, you look awfully nice Kagome, are you ready to go?”

“Yep, let me just grab my purse,” I say heading towards my date, “so what are the plans.”

“I was thinking dinner then a movie”

“That sounds like fun”

Meanwhile back in the feudal era.

“Who does she think she is; leaving on a night of the new moon” Inuyasha said, “damn her.”

“She probably forgot Inuyasha—she has been kind of addled brained the past week,” Sango said.

“Feh, I'm going,”

“Where are you going?” Miroku asked.

“Where do you think monk, I'm gonna go get Kagome”

“I I would do that if I wer were you” Shippo said, knowing full well why Kagome wasn't there.

“What's with your sudden st st studer,” Inuyasha asked.

“Na No reason”

“Feh, bye, see ya later” Inuyasha said heading toward the well.

“Wait” Shippo said

“What now” an irritated Inuyasha said turning around.

“Ahhh, never mind” Shippo said losing his courage.

Back again in Kagome's time.

Oh crap I forgot it was the new moon tonight—Inuyasha is going to be VERY upset with me.

As we walk towards the restaurant Hojo picked out ahead of time my thoughts couldn't help but wonder back to that damned hanyou. He's a human tonight and I totally forgot, I normally stayed in the feudal era to comfort him, oh well. Tonight is my date with Hojo. But ya know talking about my “diseases” and preventions is just kind of boring.

“Table for two please” Hojo said to the hostess with his perfect manners.

We were seated at a wonderful table with an awesome view of the street outside. Hojo kept talking about disease preventions and I kind of spaced out—my thoughts once again going to Inuyasha.

Once out of the well Inuyasha heads towards Kagome's window, just to remember he has to actually use the door for lack of his demonic side powers.

*Ding Dong*

“Hello—Inuyasha?” Sota answers.

“Where's Kagome?” Inuyasha asks a little gruffly.

“She's on a date with Hojo” Sota says.

“Well were did they go?”

“Down the street to that new restaurant” Sota replies and points in the direction of the restaurant.

“Thanks” Inuyasha says right before he turns around. Damned girl—supposed to be with me.

“Ahhh this looks awesome,” I say when our waiter sets my plate in front of me, “smells so good.” This finally shuts up the boring disease prevention conversation. After being spaced for so long I almost forgot to listen when Hojo asked me how my food was. I told him it was really good. After that we were both content on silence and eating. Just as I was finishing I noticed a familiar red kimono, the boy in the kimono was dark haired and it took a few seconds for it to register that it was in fact Inuyasha. “Sit” I said softly hoping that the necklace around his neck could hear my plea. It did and his body slammed into the ground.

“What did you say?” My date asked me.

“Umm, Ahhh, umm—spinach” I say

“Spinach?”

“Ahhh, yeah, It's in my dish” I say sounding really stupid, “Umm, Ahhh, I have to go” I say heading toward the door.

“Are you okay?” Hojo asked genuinely concerned, “are you sick?”

“Umm Ahhh, I think it's my stomach ulcer acting up again,” I lie, by this time I was half way towards Inuyasha.

“WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!” the upset Inuyasha practically screamed in the full restaurant.

I grab him by the hand and yank him out of the door.

“WHAT WERE YOU THINKING INUYASHA?!?!?”

“NO WHAT WERE YOU THINKING—LEAVING ME ON A NEW MOON—I NEED YOU!”

That comment took me by surprise.

“You need me?”

“I miss you when you're not around, your nice to be around—I I I love you”

I run to him and give him a hug all thoughts of my boring date with Hojo gone. He relaxes in my embrace.

“Do you know how long I've waited to hear you say that?” I ask him.

“Apparently a long time,” he smiles.

“How would you like to finish my date off with a movie” I ask him.

“What's a movie” he inquires as we head towards the theater.

 

This didn't really go the way I originally though, but I decided it would work better.
