a/n: sorry i didn't update soon but i got sick and wasn't bothered. a lot of people don't like the idea of Kagome getting violated and i'm not sure if i should do it you'll find out next chapter what i decided to do.

disclaimer: i don't own inuyasha cause Rumiko Takahashi or the book 'daughter of the forest' cause Julliet Marillier does. So i don't claim the storyline or the characters.

chapter eleven- wedding

It was the big day, normally a girl would be excited and happy, normally their would be smiles and shouts of praise and congratulations, but this was no normal wedding. the bride was unwilling, the groom was a weirdo and the entire castle were under a spell.

Kagome wished she could be like the others, under control, then she wouldn't have to do or feel anything of what was happening. She practically wanted to die. The maids dressed her in the beautiful wedding gown and Kagome felt her last chance at escape disapear. No one was going to save her from this fate.

----------------

Kagura did her best to avoid Kagome, not because she was to powerful for the spell, or because Kagome was human, it was because Kagura felt guilty. For the first time in her life she felt bad for this girl, she knew what her fate was. But she was only a puppet of Naraku and had no choice in the matter.

She was so deep in her thoughts she didn't notice the little girl who followed her, Kanna was silent as she always was with her mirror held firmly in her hands and her blank face.

The little girl had come with her master, Naraku to the wedding, but she didin't want to see the girl either, she also knew what would happen and if she had feeling she would have felt bad for her.

Kagura stopped sudenly and Kanna bumped into her. It would have all been good if Kanna hadn't dropped the mirror.

Kagura gasped and reached for it as it fell to the ground. Fear went through her body. Kanna would have been worried too.

Just before the mirror hit the ground, Naraku was there, he grabbed it and held it like it was the most important thing in the world.

"You fools!" He growled.

Kagura bowed "I'm sorry i didn't see her behind me"

"It was my fault" Kanna said as she reached for the mirror.

"If you drop this mirror..." He warned with the rage in his eyes.

'My mirror is so important to him' Kanna thought as he growled and left. She thought about all the times he warned her about smashing it and wondered why.

"Be careul next time" Kagura growled and turned her back on her sister and left.

Kaede watched the whole thing from the window but didn't say a word. her eyes were lacking the spark of life, it was as though she was a zombie.

She knew it was all wrong, the wedding Naraku. She could feel his dark powers. but she couldn't say a word or do anything she wanted. She knew she was under a spell that took away her free will, but she wasn't a very powerful miko and couldn't fight it. but unlike the others she still had her thoughts, she was sure Leon and the others didn't even think for themselves anymore.

She left the kitchen window and walked into the throne room as if another person. It was time.

-------------

Kagome was beautiful in her wedding dress all but her face that had smudges from where she had cried. She didn't cry now she felt completly numb, almost dead. She was tired she had cried and screamed and now there was no strength to fight, she would just marry the monster.

He looked at her her with lust filled eyes and she wanted to be sick. He was so despicable with blood red eyes and long black hair. She could feel his dark arau carress her and wanted to turn and run, but she couldn't it was as if her legs were no longer her own.

Kaede was the priestess and they did the whole cerimony. He looked bored and crancky and she was miserable, but Kaede just said the words as if she was another person.

He said his vows and she did the same, but Kagome's voice was lacking life and she couldn't control her words.

---------------

She was glad when it was over although she had to sit next to her new 'husband' during the reception. She didn't like him one bit but there was nothing she could say or do. She didn't talk to him though hoping she could scare him away by ignoring him.

It was a really quiet reception because everyone was under a spell, it was all so fake.

Kagome looked around and saw a little pale girl holding a mirror. The reflection showed the people with a dark power over them, controling them. Kagome couldn't turn away from the thruth she saw in the mirror, for the dark power was over her as well. It explained why she didn't have control over herself.

Naraku couldn't wait till all this was over soon he would take her home and then the fun wpould start. There was so much he would take from this girl, including her very soul.

He couldn't wait...
