Day and Night

Sesshoumaru came down hard on Kagome the green fume coming in poisonous slashes. Kagome pulled back praying Inuyasha would come crashing through the tree's any moment. But of course he wouldn't. He didn't even know she was here. He had told her he would never love a human because human's was nothing. She was nothing…

She pulled back the arrow as it slid easily from her bow and toward Sesshoumaru. The Poisonous slashes hadn't hit her but she was still bleeding harshly.

Sesshoumaru seen the arrow quickly and slit it in half. But the smell had not disappeared. The magic was intense and strong. It was twice as strong as that, which he had felt around Naraku. He stopped the girl in front of him, human or not, was not a problem at that moment. He could kill her anytime. As soon as he turned something bore into his skin, an arrow. He looked down at it and looked back at Kagome who was loading another arrow. It had only hit his arm, but that was enough to piss him off. He looked around this would be quick.

As soon as the blood came he turned to take on Kagome, but turning toward her was his mistake. On beat a force field arose. It pulled Kagome and Him together crushing.

Kagome blinked her eyes from the pain of her shoulder's wound. It was crushing into Sesshoumaru's.

As Sesshoumaru ignored the pleasant feeling of her being close he looked around. A dark shadow walked out of the woods.

"Night's with out day's, day's with out nights." A light came around Sesshoumaru and Kagome. "Let each one hold the light, and make good when all's right." As soon as he spoke the words, the sun began to go down.

Letting them down Sesshoumaru turned to the man ready to kill him. "I will kill you, you are nothing but a human." The man looked at Sesshoumaru.

"In a few moments my friend you will need help your blood has been shared and you will now know what it is like to be what you hate."

Kagome was on her knees in the dirt. Her blood had turned hot as she felt her heart pulse faster. What was going on with her?

Sesshoumaru felt the pain too. He looked up again to kill the man but he was gone. He turned to take out his pain on the nearest person being Kagome.

Kagome looked as hurt as he felt. He didn't show any of the pain. With his mask in place he pulled back his claws to strike her. But as he looked at her she was different. Her hair was…WHITE. She had claws and she had pointed ears…ears of a full dog demon. Sesshoumaru almost smiled after the shock subsided. Than he realized something his hand was…different. Claws were no where to be seen.

He looked at her as she raised her head; her eyes were amber.

"What the hell." They said in unison. He glared at her.

"I can still kill you even in human form." Sesshoumaru said in his cocky arrogant voice. Running at her. She through him in to the near river with the littlest of eases, and smiled at the feeling.

I just threw the great Sesshoumaru into the river? She almost squalled with delight.

She walked away from the spot she was standing and ran as quick as she could. In second's she was at the God Tree. How did this happen? She thought as she jumped into the well she had to get back to her time to figure this out.

She awoke by morning and almost fell out of bed to get to the mirror. Her hair was back to dark? She had all her human form back…what was it all a dream. She finally came to the conclusion of asking Kaede about it…

Kagome came over the well. She looked around and decided to head for the God Tree instead of the village. Inuyasha looked off at the sun, he seemed deep in thought.

(We know whom he is thinking about.)

Kagome walked up and he finally realized she was there. "What the hell are you looking at?" Inuyasha yelled as he realized she had been watching him.

"Oh I just wanted to know why the sky seemed so interesting." She smiled at him, shocking him at her good humor. Most of the time that got him a sit or at least yelled at him. Some reason she was smiling and he wanted to find out why.

"Where were you last night? You know how worried I was when I smelled Sesshoumaru everywhere and couldn't find you. Instead I find your arrows broken with his blood on them." Kagome looked at him in awe he had cared about her.

"I can't find the rest of those jewel shard's without you." Inuyasha said as he glared at her.

Inuyasha looked down at her. She still smiled. "Don't worry Inuyasha I'll find the Jewel's for you." Kagome walked away than Inuyasha smelled it…the scent of Sesshoumaru again.

Kagome walked through the trees she had to get away. The feeling was coming back to her. She had came through the well around 3 o'clock and it was still day. The dream came back to her. She was a Youkai in the dream; no she was Sesshoumaru in the dream. Wait how did she get to her room. She couldn't have went through the front doors they were locked…Grrrlllll Kagome looked down as she held her hands over her stomach she needed something to eat.

"Hey wench stop that annoying sound can't you even eat with out having to be told." Inuyasha said as he tried to annoy Kagome. Why wasn't she fighting with him?

Sango sat at the door to the hut as she looked at Miroku and Shippou talk. Shippou had missed Kagome last night and was worried so Miroku took him aside to help him feel better.

Kagome came through the thicket of trees as Shippou bounded to her in joy.

"Kagome!!!" He ran to her to jump up in her arms with a smile that went from ear to ear with the love he had for his mother.

Shippou hugged her closely than pulled slightly away. "Kagome why do you smell like Sesshoumaru?" Inuyasha had caught up and was beside Miroku when Shippou asked. Inuyasha looked at her as he realized that she had still had Sesshoumaru's scent on her.

"Uh, we ran into each other last night." Kagome timidly said as she strolled toward the hut. Her stomach continued to growl as she ate the food that had seemed to lose its taste.

Strange I use to love the taste of this stew. Kagome looked down as she sat the bowl hastily away. She looked around the room.

"How long are you going to smell like that Kagome?" Shippou said as he sat in her open lap. Kagome blushed as she looked outside. It was beginning to get late.

"Actually I think I have enough time to take a bath before night." Kagome smiled brilliantly as she walked over and picked up her bag. It seemed lighter than usual even though she knew that she had packed it as full as usual. Maybe I'm just getting more muscle from packing it across the countryside. She hummed lightly as she left.

"At least you'll have that stink off you." Kagome twisted around to look at Inuyasha, he looked stunned than masked it behind his rude exterior. "What is it?"

"Why did you say that?" Kagome looked at him was he jealous or something.

"Say what Kagome, I didn't hear Inuyasha say anything?" Miroku said as he looked at Kagome who was now a little edgy. Maybe I'm just freaking out or something.

Inuyasha watched her retreat from the hut as so did someone from the trees. I will find out what has happened. An indifferent Sesshoumaru watched the trail that Kagome was making toward the bath. I will find out what that witch knows.

Kagome sank into the water as she watched the sun. It was so beautiful it would go down soon. She should head back. Kagome got up and headed toward the hut intended on having a good nights rest. As she arrived at the edge of the village something called to her. Something had come and it was there…

She walked through the forest toward the familiar scent. She needed to get back it wasn't safe here. She should of got Inuyasha to come with her. The only way that she could get him to come is if something had, had a jewel shard.

Kagome began to pick up her pace as she walked quicker. Soon enough she was in a jog it felt good to feel that free she had never felt that free. She looked up and the sun was only barely seen over the horizon. A strange feeling of energy rushed through Kagome, than the pain. White searing hot pain went through Kagome's body. Her head felt like it would explode her muscles felt as if they were on fire. Kagome's sight turned read as the pain exploded in wave after wave of energy. The pain brought her to her knee's as she grasped her heart that was beating none stop. Her heart was beating so fast she could barely tell that it was beating at all. When she closed her eyes to listen all she heart was a hum. What was happening? Tear's streaked her cheeks as she hit the ground.

Sesshoumaru was sitting in a tree not far from Kagome when it had started. He got to the ground as soon as he could. The last thing he heard was a voice that called out to him and than the pain started. It was as if it came from his soul. He pulled his hands to his head it was as if some one else was taking over his mind as the pain began to set in.

What the hell was that? Kagome thought as she began to move away from the ground. Blood was on her hands…but they weren't her hands.

She had to get back…than she felt something. A Shikon shard! I should go get Inuyasha. Than the dream came back to her, she was a Youkai. It was amazing she had thought of it as a dream and she never even asked Kaede about it. I could get the Jewel by my self.

She turned with a face of delight. I have to get far enough from Inuyasha if he senses me than he will just think of me as another Youkai in his territory. But if I leave he will come looking for me. She thought over the idea and tried to come up with something. She would have to deal with Inuyasha when he came up.

Now was a time to get a jewel for my collection. Kagome thought as she looked down at the almost full Jewel. She had found a flaw, Naraku had given Kikyo most of the jewel and when she had rested Kagome was able to get the jewels from her. She had all of the jewels except for 5 pieces. Naraku wasn't happy the war had been waged for weeks.

Maybe now I can even help in the fight to finish off Naraku. Kagome smiled to herself as she began to run at her top speed toward the jewel.

It only took a second, she figured out about the poison that had been one of Sesshoumaru's favored attacks. She had the two jewels that the monster had held with ease. Why didn't this happen before? But at the same time she didn't like the feeling's that came over her.

Sesshoumaru moved out of the forest slowly, he was human. There was a village near by; he hated the idea of not having his since of smell or hearing. He would kill the man who did this to him. Not only did the person who did this had to have a knowledge of not only Magic but also of Sesshoumaru and the little miko bitch that traveled with his brother. He would figure out who did this and he would slay them for their officious.

Finally he found the small village, when he arose to the village he was surprised by the sight in front of him. A woman was literally beating a man to death. The man looked like some kind of priest and the woman was scolding as she hit him with a…huge boomerang.

Where have I seen those people before? Sesshoumaru thought as he walked into the village. He hated being here but without his since of smell he could tolerate the human's for so long. He just needed a place to stay till light than he would find the little bitch and settle it…

It's another short chapter sorry. I'm going as fast as I can!!! To many other side projects.
