Disclaimer: I still don't own Inu Yasha and other characters. And I don't own the idea of “Church of Pain ” From Jeepers Creepers. I just use that room for this story. I am NOT making any money from this.

 

 

Chapter 6

 

 

The Chamber of Pain

 

 

 

Sesshomaru had no choice but to keep the rest of his team moving. He used the sonar gun down each tunnel all of them seeming to be short tunnels except two of them. But he felt no air drafts from any of them. For the first time in his life he feels so lost so…scared. He, the great Sesshomaru, feels scared. He can't stand the taught of losing anyone else. He has never shown or told any of them that he really cared about them…except for Rin. When he finely confessed that he loved her earlier.

 

“Let's go this way.” said Sesshomaru.

 

“Are you sure that's the way out?” said Kouga as he still holding Kagome in his arms.

 

“No…I'm not sure.” He hated that he is showing weakness.

 

“What if that way leads into a trap?” said Koga as his anger rising.

 

“Well, Kouga, which way you think is the way out? In the sonar gun shows this tunnel is long. The exit is a long tunnel.”

 

Kouga didn't say anything. He has no clue where they are. And that was supposed to be his job. But the first chamber has changed. Everything is different from what he had recorded.

 

Rin decided to be in front of them. It seems she is the only one who could actually see them in her video recorder. When Sesshomaru noticed she was heading to be first to walk into the tunnel he stops her.

 

“What you think you're doing?” said Sesshomaru.

 

“I can see them when they come in my recorder. I think I should be first looking out for them and if I see them ya'll can turn around.” said Rin in a matter a fact tone of voice. She had made up her mind. Then she turns and starts walking into the tunnel before he could respond back at her.

 

Sesshomaru, Sango, Kagome, and Koga follow Rin into the dark cold tunnel. Rin keep her eyes on the recorder screen looking for any signs of the ghosts. But she did notice that this tunnel doesn't look familiar.

 

“Does anyone else think that this tunnel is un-familiar?” Rin asked to the people that are behind her.

 

“No I don't recognize this tunnel. I don't think this is the right one.” said Koga.

 

“I agree. We should turn around and try the other tunnels.” Respond Sesshomaru.

 

They stop and start turning around to go back into the big chamber. Rin couldn't see past them to see if there are any ghosts if they were following them.

 

“I can't see.” said Rin.

 

Then their flashlight and helmet lights start to flicker. The first thing they did was to check the battery. It was low.

 

“My battery is almost gone!” said Kagome.

 

“Mine is too! But how could that be! It shouldn't be low by now.” said Sango.

 

“Use the back up battery.” order Sesshomaru as all of them change their batteries. But it still flickers.

 

“There's something draining the battery.” said Sesshomaru.

 

“Spirits takes energy. They are using our power. That's means they are close.” said Sango with fear in her voice.

 

“We need to get out of here! Go back!” said Sesshomaru.

 

They turn around and started running back to the big chamber to go down a different tunnel that they are hoping to be right one that would lead them out to safety of the sunlight.

 

But Rin turn around when she felt her hairs on her neck stood on its ends. She saw many souls coming after them. Since she was at the end of the line and looking back behind her she trip over a rock and fell to the ground. Others didn't know that Rin had fall behind.

 

Rin try to get back up fast as she could but the souls was already over her. As their hands was just an inch from her body. They stop right before they touch her.

 

“Virgin.” They said. Then they disappear.

 

“W-what?” said Rin as she was shock that they left her alone.

 

She set up to make sure that they are really gone. They were. But it also means that she is alone in the darkness. For her friends didn't realize that she's not with them now. Fear of being alone was taking control of her body.

 

“Sesshomaru! Kagome! Sango! Koga!” she yelled into the darkness trying to find her friends.

 

She stood up and start running after them. When she reaches the big chamber it changes again. Now there are 4 different tunnels.

 

“Why this chamber keeps changing!” yelled Rin.

 

She called out their names again. Hoping they will hear her calling to them. She listen for a while waiting for a respond from them. But all she heard was her own voice echo back at her. Feeling despair she looked down on the floor looking for any footprints that might show some clue where they could have gone.

 

Then she heard a deadly scream. It sounded like Sango.

 

“SANGO!!” she yelled back.

 

She follows her screams down into a tunnel as she was half way through the screams stop. But she keeps going. Praying she will find her friends again…and alive.

 

When she reaches another big chamber she notice there was a big square rock lying in the middle of the chamber. She slowly walks closer to it. She can see someone was lying on it. As she was just couple of feet away she steps on something soft. She looked down and notices it was a liver.

 

“AHHHHHHH” she screams. Her screams bounce off the walls of the cave.

 

She turns her focus to the altar. When she had a clear view; she felt sick what she saw lying there.

 

It was Sango. Her arms and legs were reaped out and her torso was cut open. All of her insides were pouring out and over the edge of the altar to the floor.

 

“S-Sango?! OH MY GOD!” Rin cried. But she couldn't look at her friend's body. She felt like she was going to vomit from the horrified scene.

 

As she bent over she felt something on her shoulder. Fear it was another soul to do to her as they did to Sango and her friends. But she saw nothing behind. It happens again on her shoulder. She looked at her shoulder there was two red spots. She then pointed her flashlight up where the drops were coming from. She wasn't preparing for what she saw.

 

What she saw was bodies. Hundreds of dead bodies stick together forming the ceiling and walls of the chamber. (you know like Jeepers Creepers 1st movie if you have seen it)

 

“Oh my God! OH MY GOD!” said a sickened Rin.

 

“Welcome to the Chamber of Pain, Rin.” said from a dark figure standing next to the corpse at the entrance of the chamber where she just came from. Rin never noticed him until he spoke to her.

 

“Wha-who-why?” said Rin as she stutters her words.

 

“We have been waiting for a virgin to come here so willing for ages. My name is Naraku.” said from the long dark hair man.

 

She back up trying to get away. But she trips over a rock landing backwards hitting her head on the side of the Altar knocking her out cold.

 

Naraku walked over to the unconscious girl. He laughed an evil laughed that could be heard through out the cave.

 

“Thanks to this virgin the portal will open finely! HAHAHAHAHA”

 

 

A/N Hello! It's me again, Suniko. I'm on a roll! I might get this whole story done this weekend the rate I'm going. This is the 3rd chapter that I was able to complete this week.

 

Thank you for reading this horror fanfic. I know I am killing a lot of ya'll favorite Inu Yasha characters. I promise `someone' will survive. But `who'? Will `this person' ever go back to a normal life? We are almost to the end ya'll. I am really hoping I will have this story COMPLETE (YEAHHHHH! LOL) sometime within a week.
