[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]

Disclaimer: Don't own Inu and crew… if I did it would be called SesshouMaru NOT Inuyasha… Oh and Sesshy-sama would be shirtless all the time, would never be harmed and Inuyasha, Kikyo and Kouga would be non-existent.

"Kagome, love, what's wrong?"

"It's nothing. I just had a bad dream." She shook her head. She had been having the same dream for over a year now. It truly bothered her and when she told anyone they shook their head at her and laughed. They didn't believe her. It was true… her older brother and sister had died three years ago… today. She realized that it was three days until her birthday from today. Three years ago today they had been shot and killed by those gang members… protecting her. She laughed a dry, sad laugh and thought back to the day.

/Flashback/

"Kagome? Sis, get up… you'll be late for school." Ayah's soft voice penetrated her dream of Oden and puppies.

Kagome shot up and Ayah laughed. "Calm down little sister! You have an hour to get ready." She chuckled and walked out of the room shaking her head.

"She get freaked out again?" Ayah spun around and saw her twin; Kazou.

"Jerk and yes she did freak out again." They both laughed as Kagome came running out, fully dressed in her skirt and shirt.

"LET'S GO!" Sota and Kagome called. Kazou and Ayah laughed again. "Let us be off sister." "Of course brother." They always spoke formally to each other and family members… except Kagome.

"We're coming." Ayah softly called down. Her and Kazou walked down the stairs. "Let us be off."

They began walking and quickly arrived at school after dropping Sota off at his.

It was a normal day. Kids chatting, teachers griping, gang members attacking other gang members, people crying, nerds being… nerdy and so on and so forth. But what was different? Four bullets. Four single bullets caused a world of pain. Four small little metal objects caused an entire school to go into an almost complete depression.

Two bullets had been fired at Kagome. Kazou noticed and jumped in front of her. He was hit twice in the heart. He died twenty minutes later. Another two were fired at Kagome. Ayah saw and jumped in front. She got hit in the same place. She, too, died twenty minutes later.

Kagome stared in shock. "Ayah? Kazou?" They didn't respond. They just stared off into space, eyes unseeing, and chests unmoving. "Kazou!? Ayah!?" Everyone looked over at the shouts. The guns had been silenced. The entire courtyard was silent. Two people ran out. A boy and a girl. "Kazou!!!" The girl cried. "Ayah!!!" The guy. The closest friends of theirs. Kai and Rei.

The paramedics arrived. The two were barely alive but in the helicopter ride to the hospital they both died from blood loss.

/End flashback/

She sat on her couch in tears. It hadn't been long ago but it felt like yesterday. She had lost two of the closest people in her life. They had been taken from her. She had been young and naïve. Stupid and foolish. She had always had what was right and wrong drilled into her mind but she never listened. It was always in one ear and out the other. How many times she had heard that. Gods it was actually funny.

A line from her dream came back. "Kagome. Life never ends. No matter how much heartbreak you endure, no matter how much death you see, no matter how many loved ones are lost. Life... goes... one." It was what Ayah had told her. Was there a chance that the dream was true? Or a premonition? Was it real? Could it be? She shook her head. It wasn't. There was no way.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

She stood in front of the well, Shippo in her arms. "Ready sweetheart?" Kagome looked down at him and he nodded. She jumped in and was engulfed in the comforting presence of that mystical blue-ish, purple-ish stuff. It's so pretty in the Feudal era. She thought. Nothing like the future er modern times. KUSO! Now even I call it the future. I need to get out more. HA! Like that's possible. InuYasha's a slave driver and we're outside enough. She laughed and they landed.

InuYasha jumped down and did his usual thing of complaining about her being late and where was his ramen when one, she was on time and two she left them about a million packs before she left. Sigh, I'm getting soft.

She shook her head and walked right by him successfully sticking her foot out and tripping him when he spun around and started walking towards her.

Shippo broke out into fits if laughter and floated out of the well.

Kagome sighed and climbed out. She no longer wore that silly short school uniform. After high school had ended she gave up on schooling and decided once it was all done, the jewel thing, if InuYasha didn't wish to become full demon or wish for Kikyo back she would stay. If otherwise she would return to her time, assume a new identity, move to Florida, and live out the rest of her days as a Zoologist or Botanist. Either or worked for her.

She calmly walked towards the village with InuYasha trailing behind yelling at her for making him trip and always `sit'ting him and all that good shit.

SHUT UP!! She screamed mentally as she stared straight ahead, face stoic as she thought of that song `I believe in a thing called love' by The Darkness, was it? She chuckled to herself. The name and the group don't work but I guess since The Darkness was a 15th or 16th century love poem that they did work. Heh, funny how such trivial information can be so helpful.

Kagome smiled to herself as she reached the village. Sango, as per usual, came vaulting at her and hugged her. "Hello San-chan. It is good to see you ,too. But I won't anymore unless I can breath." Kagome and Sango laughed as Shippo ran over to Miroku who bowed, having given up his lecherous ways a few days prior to Kagome's short leave of absence.

"What's changed since I left?" Kagome questioned. She had been gone for a month and Kami-sama knows what could have happened.

"Nothing." InuYasha stated having finally cooled down enough to talk without yelling. "Kag-chan, has something been bothering you?" Sango tilted her head to the side. The look in Kagome's eyes was just… not Kagome.

"Actually yes." Kagome's voice was low and hollow.

"Kagome-sama, would you share what it is?" Miroku asked in his newly monk-dom.

Kagome took a deep breath and told the story of her dream and the day they had died.

"So, they came back but you were close to heartbreak?" Shippo asked, having not heard the dream yet. Everyone was confused, this dream was interesting. And very unique upon many other things.

"Yes. I wa-" Kagome was cut off as Koga came speeding into the village. "KAGOME!" He cried. Unknown to everyone else Kagome and Koga had resolved the whole `She's my woman!' Deal and now Koga saw her as a close friend. "Kagome! Please come quickly! It's Ayame… she's been injured. It is beyond our ability to take care of." Koga was panting, having run faster than he should of was not good for him.

"Of course." InuYasha was in the background growling and the fact that Kagome was going with Koga VOLUNTARILY only made things worse.

"InuYasha!" Kagome was getting pissed at him. "What wench?" "SHUT UP!!!!" She yelled at him now thoroughly angered at his rash behavior.

She turned, glared at him and hopped on Koga's back.

They took off.

All were unaware of the two figures in the sky watching. Black hooded figures.

She shot up again in a cold sweat.

"Again?"

---------------------

Freaky, huh? It always ends in Kagome waking up but it never being over really. Heh it should get weirder as time progresses.

I'm not sure how long this took me but I know finished a few hours after I posted the first chap since I didn't know how to start it and had to think it over for a while.

All right and if anyone has played Yu-Gi-Oh duelists of the rose and has beaten it I need some help since I'm stuck dueling the person you duel after Joey if you join Seto Kaiba's side. ::sigh:: pathetic aren't I?
