InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Dear Diary ❯ Visiting Home ( Chapter 16 )
[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]
We could only wish that we all owned Inuyasha and the others, but, sadly, they are all owned by their rightful owners. I do own Derek & Melissa (Inuyasha's girlfriend) though.

Friday…
God I love this day.
The only day of the week that everyone in school was relaxed and was willing to do nearly everything anyway because they really didn't care. Except today was different. Derek and Inuyasha were evil eyeing each other from the opposite sides of the classroom, thankfully ignoring me. I was sitting next to Rin in homeroom and Sango had brought her chair to sit between our two desks. The three of us were just looking between the two of them, wondering what the fuck they were glaring at each other for.
Sure they had a major fight yesterday, but still.
“I think this I s the longest I have ever seen them like this,” Sango whispers quietly as we stop staring at them and try to listen to the teacher drone on about shit, “the only other time I saw them like this was when Inuyasha accidentally broke Derek's mobile back in the fifth grade. Freaky.”
I raised one of my eyebrows and stared at Inuyasha again, trying to look through his concealment spell and see his ears. I knew that Rin had a tail (god I envied her for it) and Inuyasha had his gorgeous puppy ears, and Derek had a thick black tail that sort of resembled a panthers, but I couldn't figure out if the others had any.
Sighing, I looked down at my desk, catching a glimpse at my shirt. I smiled.
“Maybe today was the wrong day to wear this shirt,” I say to Rin and Sango, pulling the shirt away from my body a little so they could read it.
“Busy” means don't fucking talk to me… idiot.
“Na,” Sango replies with a small smile, “it's the perfect shit for today. Especially if all the other guys keep staring at you for the rest of the day like they are now.”
Looking around the room, I could see that they were really staring at the three of us. I raised my eyebrow a little before listening to the bell chime for next class. Science. Rolling me eyes, I looked between the two guys and wondered if I really wanted to sit between the two of them this lesson.
Rin and Sango linked their arms through mine as we walked through the hall, stopping off at their lockers before making our way to mine. Laughing with them, I didn't notice that Kouga was slowly making his way to me again. Closing my locker, he wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me back into his chest, barely giving me room to breathe.
“Remember me,” he purrs into my ear, making me shiver slightly as the air from his breath run through my body, “I think you do.”
“Fuck off Kouga,” Rin says calmly from beside me, Sango standing next to her, fuming, “She isn't interested in finding a mate. Even you should be able to tell that from her scent alone.”
`What the fuck is a mate?' I think to myself as Kouga pulls me closer, burying his nose into the base of my neck and drawing in a low breath.
“Doesn't matter if she ain't ready Rin,” he mutters just load enough for her to hear, “I'll make her.”
Before I could say anything, I was pushed against the lockers and squashed between Kouga and the wall. Growling, I pushed him away and moved as he came back, watching him smack his face onto the locker wall. Smirking, I wrapped my arms around Rin and Sango's waists, heading off towards Science.
O.o
I didn't think that this class could get any worse, and yet, I was so wrong. Inuyasha and Derek wouldn't stop giving each other the evil eye. I was sitting beside Inuyasha and Rin, Sango sitting on the other side of the desk with her back to the teacher. We were working in groups of four and thankfully, Derek wasn't in ours.
Inuyasha however, was a different story.
We walked into class and I sat down, giving Rin and Sango enough room to sit with me. Sango chose to sit on the other side so she didn't have to face the teacher, and I couldn't blame her the slightest for it. Inuyasha and Derek rocked up seconds before the bell went, both looking like they had been in another fight. I rolled my eyes at them both as Inuyasha sat beside me and stared straight ahead.
Rin was holding her breath as Inuyasha snapped his head towards us, looking em up and down.
“Why the fuck do you smell like Kouga?” he growls out between clenched teeth.
I was about to answer him when the teacher started the lesson, making em cut the conversation then and there. It was a bloody annoying lesson and learning about reproduction wasn't something that the people in the class needed first thing Friday morning.
Filling out the worksheets that we were given, I was shocked to find that so many people in the class didn't know the basic structures for people. Guys had no idea what a prostate was and the girls were tracing small lines through the uterus to try finding the ovary.
Inuyasha was doodling on the back of his page, not even bothering to finish the work.
“Need some help,” I asked him quietly as the teacher began explaining the structure again.
The held up his sheet and I saw that he was finished. I smiled to him before turning back to Rin and Sango to help them with the parts that they couldn't name.
The class went surprisingly fast after that.
O.o
Maths.
The dreaded word makes me want to tear my hair out.
Yet, as the lesson went on, I found that it wasn't nearly as hard as what we had to do back home.
The work that I was given was finished within the first half hour of class, smiling to myself I pulled out my iPod and started to listen to one of the songs that someone had wanted me to sing. One of my old mates back in Japan had been trying to get me to release this on an album for sometime because they thought it was a good song for me to sing.
Cause only in my dreams
I'm living without you
Given my heart
To somebody new
It never should have been this way
You know we almost had it made
Feeling so right
How wrong could I be?
That was then
And now there's not a day I live
Cant pretend
That there's anything I wouldn't get
Believe in the end
You'll come back to me
Cause now your gone
I'm standing still in time
I should be moving on
Leaving you behind
But only in my dreams
I'm living without you
Given my heart to somebody new
And I can make believe
I'm getting over you
But that's just the part
I can't seem to do
I'm moving on
Like I should've been
But only in my dreams
I was wrong
I never should have shied away
Holding on
To tender words I should have said
A lesson well learned
But I learned it too late
Oooohhhh
Now you're gone
How am I supposed to live?
When my hearts
No longer mine to give
Its locked in the past
Can't go back
It's a cruel twist of fate
How bout you
Now you're gone
There's no good in goodbye
I should be moving on
Leaving you behind
But only in my dreams
I'm living without you
Given my heart to somebody new
Somebody new
And I can make believe
I'm getting over you
But that's just the part
I can't seem to do
I'm moving on
Like I should've been
But only in my dreams
Saw the face I keep dreaming
Maybe one day I'll let you go
But seeing is believing
I gotta let you know
In my dreams
I'm living without you
Living without you
Given my heart
To somebody new
I can make believe
I'm getting over you
Over you
I'm moving on
From should have been
But only in my dreams
My dreams
In my dreams
Shaking my head, I thought about the song. There was only one person that I had ever really dreamed about, and even then I don't know if it was a real dream or just something that someone wanted me to know about Sesshomaru-sama.
I was sitting at the back of the classroom with Rin and Sango, thankfully having an all girls' class. It was brilliant. Even the teacher was a chick.
The bell eventually rang, signalling lunch.
O.o
We walked through the halls, avoiding as many of the giant groups as we could. Rin and Sango were both giggling about what Kouga did earlier today, causing me to blush very badly.
“Shut up about that already,” I groan out as we reach my locker and I shove all my books in, “its embarrassing.”
“Don't worry,” Rin laughs as we reach the grass on the oval, heading to the hill where we sit, “he does it to nearly every chick. I just don't think I've ever seen him take as much interest in the others as he has with you.”
I scream slightly, turning to Rin and watching her run off, chasing after her as we both laughed. Sango was laughing as well and took both our bags that we had thrown on the ground as we began running and taking them with her to the hill.
By the time that Rin and I reached the hill, we were puffing and sweating slightly. Inuyasha, Miroku and Sango were already there, watching us run around on the grass.
I flopped down near Inuyasha's feet and lied on the ground, pulling the hair off the back of my neck. Inuyasha stared down at me as I puffed, pulling my shirt away slightly to let a breeze flow through.
“So what is happening this afternoon Kags?” Miroku asks as he slowly edges closer to Sango, “are we still coming with you?”
“Hell yeah,” I reply as I sit up the slightest, looking at them all, “we are getting collected by Sesshomaru this arvo. Not sure when though. Maybe last class.”
Inuyasha stares openly at me, leaving me feel exposed. How I wanted to be with him, to see him smile for me, to…
“Why is he coming?” he asks, his eyes going to the ground next to me.
“Because he just is,” I reply before I move over near Rin, unsure of why I did.
“Two questions for you all though,” I said as I threw my bag next to her, “how far do you live from the school and would your parents let you out of the country?”
Everyone's eyes went wide at the last question. Sure they knew that they were coming with me somewhere for the weekend, they just didn't know that they were going out of the country.
“My brother is with us,” Inuyasha shrugged as he looked around, “all your parents know him. If you need reason, blame it on him.”
“That sounds like an idea,” Miroku says slowly, “but why are we going out of the country Kags?”
“We are going to Japan,” I say simply with a small shrug of my shoulders, “to go and have some fun. I'm going to take the girls shopping so they can get a few of these shirts like mine and you guys are welcome to come as well if you like, and Souta can show you around the games area.”
“What about Derek?” Inuyasha asks, never taking his eyes off mine, “is he still coming?”
I shake my head, “Souta is gonna take his place. I don't feel the need for you two to go youkai and start fighting over me.”
“Well let's just not tell our parents where we are going and we should be fine. Do you think that your Mama could make up excuses for us if any of our parents ring over the weekend?” Miroku asked.
“Sure,” I reply with a smile, “Mama and Gramps used to make up all sorts of excuses fro me to get out of school in Japan anyway. I'm sure they can make some up for the weekend.”
“Well then I think it is all set,” Rin says with a smile, “I think we better all stand around Kagome now though or else we are going to have more fun like this morning.”
I look at Rin confused for a second before Inuyasha wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me behind him, never taking his hands off me. He started growling and I looked over his shoulder to see Kouga standing around with Ginta and Hakkaku on either side of him. Rin and Sango were standing either side of Inuyasha and me while Miroku was crouching in front of Inuyasha. All of them were wearing a snarl or were growling.
“Fuck off Kouga,” Inuyasha growls as his hands tighten around my waist, leaving me flush against his back, “you ain't touching her.”
“What make you think you are going to be able to stop me dog-turd?” Kouga sneers as he sniffs the air, obviously trying to find me, “she liked it last time and she knows it.”
“Get fucked,” I say under my breath against Inuyasha's shoulder, making him shiver the slightest, “no way in hell would I have enjoyed that.”
“Now don't lie Kagome,” Kouga's voice comes from behind, causing me to jump and clutch at Inuyasha's back, “you know that you liked it. Your scent was dripping with arousal.”
His hand wrapped around my hips and tried to pull me back suddenly. I screamed a little and tightened my hold on Inuyasha, never letting go. He turns around and holds me firmly around the waist and plants his feet, never letting go.
Kouga growled as he pulled tighter, both trying to split me in half. My face was pulled in pain and Inuyasha was looking at me with a worried expression. I pulled him tighter to me and kissed his cheek before letting go and slipping through his grip. Kouga fell back as I let go and landed on his back on the ground. My feet landed either side of his chest and I flipped myself backwards so that I was out of his reach.
`This lunch is going to be interesting,' I thought to myself as I began running, not watching where I was going.
I ran into something hard and recoiled a little, shocked to find that I had been grabbed around the waist and pulled back to stand up. I looked up and saw Sesshomaru's face smirking down at me, holding me around the wrist until I got my own balance.
I smiled up at him and ran around him, knowing that Kouga was still after me. My feet went out from underneath me and I squeaked as I was crushed against a strong chest. My eyes were screwed closed and I wasn't game enough to open then in fear that Kouga was the one that was holding me. I heard laughter from above and opened one eye, letting it focus on the face above me.
I cried out and wrapped my arms around his neck, making him falter a step and nearly trip.
“Careful Kagome,” Inuyasha yells above the wind passing through her ears, “do anything like that again and I might drop you.”
I stay still in his arms, watching Rin, Sang and Miroku fight Ginta and Hakkaku while Sesshomaru had Kouga pinned to the ground with two fingers poised lethally just above his throat. Inuyasha slowly made his way back around, just in time for me to run over and pull Sesshomaru off Kouga before he killed him.
“Lady Kagome,” Sesshomaru says in a low voice, barely controlling his youkai, “move out of the way before I hurt you without meaning to.”
“Sesshomaru,” I say in a low voice, pushing him further backwards, “I'm not letting you fuck up now. Think of everything that you had to do in the past. If you kill him now, what will happen to the reputation that you held to strongly.”
“It will be thought of when I am finished with him,” he growled as he tried to jump over me.
“Sesshomaru,” I scream as I held tight to the front of his jacket, “Calm the fuck down. Your brother can deal with him. But right now I need you to take us to Japan to see Lady Kaede.”
“No,” he sneers as he continues to stare at Kouga, “I need to get rid of the wolf that threatened you.”
“No,” I say, “Lady Kaede sent you here to make sure I got back safely. If you even think of touching Kouga, I will make sure that you definitely cant move for an hour at least. And that threat is the same for Kouga if he thinks he can keep sneaking up on me. I'm a miko you fucking turd. I know when someone id sneaking up on me.”
I turn around and strike Kouga in the face, using some of the energy from the Shikon no Tama to send him flying back meters. Ginta and Hakkaku gave a snarl before lunging toward me, earning the same fate as their leader.
All the others were staring at me, looking completely astonished. I was panting slightly at the amount of energy that I had to use to do that, even through using the Jewel. Inuyasha and Rin came up beside me, but I stepped back, leaving them both confused.
“If I touch you now,” I pant out between breaths, “you'll be purified. I don't want to hurt you.”
They nod to me and Miroku comes to my side, sliding his arm around my waist and pulling my arm across his shoulders. He smiles at me as I lean on him, knowing that the power was flowing through him.
“Does it hurt?” I ask quietly as the others grab our bags and follow Sesshomaru, leading the way to find Souta.
“Only a little,” he replies, helping me through the school and being as slow as I needed to be, “I'm used to it though. I was a monk for a few years, so energy as pure as this is like a shower for me.”
Eventually we found Souta, who was wide eyed to see me the way that I was. I smiled and Inuyasha explained everything to him as we made our way to the limo that was waiting for us at the front of the school. All the others were shocked with the transportation we had and were ecstatic at the same time. None of them had ever ridden in a limo.
I climb in and go to my usual seat, watching the others all pouring in after me. Sesshomaru, the smart one, takes Souta and sits in the front with Dan, the driver. Laughing to myself I grab a drink from the hidden compartment beneath my seat and toss it to Rin, watching her catch it and look at it in shock. I grab one for everyone, passing through one for Souta, Sesshomaru and Dan. Everyone was puzzled as to where I was getting the drinks from until I showed them that there was a small fridge built in under the seat.
O.o
“What did you do to my baby?” Mama screams at Sesshomaru as Miroku and Souta help me up the shrine stairs, listening to my Mama screech, “she can't even walk properly. How is she supposed to see Kaede like this?”
Sesshomaru tries his best to calm Mama down, eventually needing Souta and Gramps there to tell her that I was ok. Miroku carried me to my room and sat me on the bed, looking around.
“You sure like her don't you?” he asks as he nods to a signed poster of my young self, “seeing as how you have a few different things of hers.”
You'll find out why eventually,” I simply shrug as I push him out of the room, “now out. I need to change and pack. Tell the others to help themselves to anything in the kitchen, but check with Mama before they eat it. I don't know how long she's had some of the stuff in there.”
He nods to me, waving as he goes down the hall, turning into he kitchen and disappearing from sight. Sighing, I close and lock my door, turning right around and lean against the door, knowing that I would have to be careful what I packed. Pushing off the door, I grab one of my medium sized suitcases and began to pack clothes into it, being careful as to not to have anything to small. Last thing I needed was the media talking about how I was dressing.
I pack clothes, a book, my iPod speakers (the iPod was coming on the plane), some of my jewellery, and my make-up. Making sure I had everything, I checked my room and nodded after I had everything. My phone was in my pocket and my iPod slipped into the other. Dragging a jacket off my desk chair, I headed out the door, listening to see if Mama was still yelling.
She wasn't.
Thankfully
O.o
We took off on time, thank god for that.
Everyone was excited to be going to Japan. They were all yapping away to each other, trying their best to speak some Japanese. Souta was telling them the wrong words and they couldn't understand why I was laughing my head off and Sesshomaru was chuckling to himself. It was almost better than stand up comedy.
Smiling, I listened to them saying their names, correcting them when Souta grew tired. Miroku asked what Souta had been really getting them to say and when I told him, he wanted to go and beat him. I laughed even more at that.
Eventually we landed and walked off the runway, putting on jackets and sunnies. Sango and Rin protested against the sunnies but Sesshomaru only had to say burn and they were on in a flash.
Kaede had another limo waiting and we climbed in, me eager to get away from any media that was around. We decided to stay at the Sunset Shrine, my original home, for the weekend, which Kaede also stayed in. Kohaku too.
“Kohaku will be away this weekend,” Sesshomaru says to me as the others are babbling on about the lights and things, “Kaede thought it be best if he spent the weekend with some of his friends in case you weren't ready to introduce him to yours.”
“Arigato,” I say as I turn back to the driver, telling him exactly where to go.
He nodded and drove, knowing the way already. I sighed with relief and settled back, silently glad to be heading home.
