A guy with long silver hair, light brown eyes, and wearing a white kimono stole down a dark forest path.

A girl about seventeen followed him in the shadows waiting for the perfect moment to kill him. Now's the time for you to die Sesshoumaru. She thought to herself.

Sesshoumaru turned down a different path making her lose him.

“Dang it!” She yelled as she stood up looking all around for him. “Why is it that I have to go chasing after hi-“

She was cut off by someone who had grabbed her from behind.

“You really shouldn't talk so loud.” Said a dreamy voice from behind. They let go of her mouth but only her mouth.

“Who are you and what do you want from me?!” She demanded.

“Sesshoumaru and I want you to leave me alone and move on with your life.”

“I have no life.” She said slamming her elbow into his gut making him let go of her completely. “I'm paid to kill you and that's what I'm intending to do.” She said bringing out her sword and stood in a fighting stance.

“You wouldn't dare.” Sesshoumaru said.

“I would,” she said running at him and attacking.

He barely dodged her attack and tripped her pinning her to the ground.

“What happened to your life then?” He asked her.

“My parents died at the hands of a half-demon and I was enslaved to him. So now I have to do whatever he tells me to do or I won't get my freedom back.” She looked up at him. “Wait! Why am I telling you this?!”

“Who is this demon that has you under his control?”

“Naraku…”

Sesshoumaru let go of her and slowly backed up.

“That's who you are trying to kill,” Said the girl. “That's who ordered me to kill you. Supposedly you are ruining his plans. I congratulate you on that but if I want my freedom I have to kill you.” She said standing back up and getting into a fighting stance again.

“Just give it up. I can help you get free.” He said stepping out of the way of her attack.

She stopped attacking her and looked at him skeptically, “You really wouldn't do that. I've watched you for a while now and I now your every fighting move and what you mean by things through your attitude.”

“I'm serious, I will help you become free again and live your life as a regular human does.”

The girl looked down at the ground, could she really trust him. She sensed Naraku even before Sesshoumaru did. “I'm sorry but I can't really trust you.”

Sesshoumaru looked at her strange and then he knew why she was saying these things, Naraku was near by. He nodded at the girl, “At least let me know who my killer is.”

“The names ShadowCat. I haven't gone by anything else in years so of course I can't remember my name.”

“ShadowCat…That's kind of a weird name don't you think?”

“It's my code name I use when I'm hunting down my prey and you're my prey.”

“We'll see about that now wont we.” He sped at her and grabbed her around the waist from behind. “Okay Naraku nice try but you wont have this girl as your slave anymore, so back off.”

“Let her go!” Yelled Naraku, but they still couldn't see him.

“I can not, will not and sure as hell wont.”
