Narraku's trap

“follow that baboon!!!” said inuyasha as he jumped after narraku. Sango and miroku were riding on Kirara close behind inuyasha.

Narraku lead inuyasha into his phantom castle.

Inside the room where kagome was being kept, akura was attempting to manipulate kagome so that she would kill inuyasha with her bare hands. This trick had been used often so they decided that if it didn't work, they would kill her and bring her back with a sacred jewel shard and manipulate her like kohaku. She would be a useful puppet, narraku had decided the other night. Akura stood with kagome for about a day and finally kagome tired out and gave in. However, unknown to Akura or narraku, kagome always had control over a bit of her soul no matter how you try to manipulate her.

On the outside of the castle, narraku had made a dozen puppets to stall for time and to keep inuyasha “company.” After that, kohaku was sent out to a surprised sango and she was almost wounded if it wasn't for the brilliant save that inuyasha made.

“you gotta be more careful sango, I know he's your brother and all but narraku is manipulating him,” inuyasha explained for the hundredth time.

“thanks inuyasha,” said sango.

Kohaku halted in his tracks and straightened. Kagome came out and stood beside kohaku with akura at her side.

“kagome!” inuyasha gasped in surprise. He started towards her slowly ignoring the warning miroku was giving at the top of his lungs. He stopped a feet in front of her as he noticed her eyes. “narraku! What have you done with her?” inquired inuyasha.

“well, it's an improvement. Now she's more obedient wouldn't you say? Kagome, kill inuyasha and the others with your bow!” cackled narraku.

Slowly, agonizingly slowly, she drew her bow and aimed for inuyasha.

“kagome don't do it! Try to resist narraku! Don't listen to him!” shouted a desperate inuyasha.

“heheheh, there is no way she is going to resist me as I have stuck a jewel shard in her to make it easier. She is certainly a hard girl to manipulate. Fight to your heart's content inuyasha!” laughed narraku.

Inuyasha didn't know what to do. He just stood there with kagome pointing his arrow at him.

In her head, she was taken to a world where there was nothing in her surrounding, only total darkness. She screamed but nobody heard her. She called out for inuyasha and a light shone in the darkness. She started towards it and she heard narraku's voice,

“kill him now!”

“please stop this!” kagome pleaded through a voice she found at the back of her head that she had used when being manipulated.

“heheh,” narraku cackled, “she is resisting me, but inuyasha, if she doesn't kill you, I will kill her and make her my puppet by killing her with none other than kohaku,”

he stared at sango. “kohaku, go and kill sango and miroku, kagome and akura, inuyasha is your target,” sneered narraku.

“kagome drew an arrow and slowly aimed for inuyasha. Akura smiled for the first time and stared at inuyasha who drew his sword for protection. Kagome fired against her will and inuyasha was forced to block it with the tetsuiga.

“KAGOME DON'T DO IT!” yelled inuyasha as she drew her next bow.
