It was the first day of school at Goshou High. Students were rushing here and there, trying their best to be on time for their first day. After all, a good impression is necessary on your first day.
“Inu Yasha hurry it up, would you?” said Sango.
“Relax Sango, my dear. It would be the same as always.” Informed Miroku.
“That's what I'm afraid of pal.”
“Would you guys drop it already? We have the same homeroom don't we? We'll get there alright,” said Inu Yasha.
Sango just sighed as Inu Yasha smirked.
This is the way it's always been. Inu Yasha, Sango and Miroku have always been friends since middle school and now they were in High. They were in grade 11, their second last year. It was the same situation as always. They would always come to class late since the `boys' never bothered hurrying. They would face the exasperated teacher later on, yet it never occurred to them. Why would they hurry? All three of them were well known in the school. Inu Yasha was one of the richest and the most popular guys in the school due to his `status' and of course `looks'.
Many students would love to be in touch with Inu Yasha, since the three of them would get their ways. Miroku even considered forming their own gang, but Inu Yasha refused because he hates company.
Sango sighed again. She met Miroku in middle school and was introduced to Inu Yasha soon after since Miroku and Inu Yasha are always hangin' out together. She always wondered why Inu Yasha seemed approval of her. He almost hated all girls in this school. He showed no least bit of interest in anyone in the school and was always bad-tempered with others. Though, he seemed perfectly relaxed around her.
Something on her rear had brought her out of her thoughts. Her brain only registered one word: Miroku. A loud thud was heard down the hallway as Miroku made contact with the wooden floor.
“You LECHER!” flared Sango as she entered her homeroom.
Inu Yasha chuckled as he followed Sango and Miroku soon after as he rubbed his red cheek, trying to ease the handprint.
Lucky for them, Mr. Nobunaga had been late for class. Inu Yasha took his seat at the back of the class with Miroku on his right and Sango on his left. Right then Mr. Nobunaga came rushing in. He was wearing black pants with a white-collar shirt and a black coat on top. His tie was a grayish colour and he was wearing black shoes.
“Sorry class. Excuse my lateness. I hate to run a few things before class. Now lets waste no time and get to Math right away.” Their teacher spoke as he opened his Math Textbook.
He was answered by loud groans as the students prepared for their first lesson.

“Alright class,” spoke Ms. Siba “We have two new students this year. They were transferred to Goshou High from their old school because of their skills and experience. They are excellent fighters just like the rest of us, so I hope you all would welcome them since they will be training with us from today. Class, this is - she pointed at a girl on her right. She had black, raven hair that hung right below her chest and chocolaty, brown eyes - Kagome Higurashi and this - she pointed at her right - is Richelle Bay. He was a slender guy with quite a bit of muscles. His hair was light brown and his eyes were deep gray. His face held a confidence smirk as he greeted his fellow classmates.
“Alright guys, you have five minutes to change before we begin,” alarmed Ms. Siba.
All students entered a room labeled `Change room': girls were on the right and the boys were at the left.
“Hi. My name is Yura,” a girl with black short hair spoke as she extended her hand.
“Hey. Kagome Higurashi, as you know. Nice to meet you.” She replied as she gladly shook her hand.
“So. Richelle… boyfriend?”
Kagome stared at her for a minute and then laughed. “Friend. Best friend.” She stated.
Then all of a sudden she was surrounded with ten other girls, who were throwing questions at her all at once.
“So he's available eh?”
“Wow… what a hunk!”
“You sure he's just a friend? Right?”
A whistle interrupted them all as Kagome headed out to the main gym and the girls followed soon after. She jogged towards Richelle and whispered, “Hey Rash. Wow, you're quite wanted there… or shall I say needed.” She laughed as she pointed at the group of girls that were gawking at him.
“Haha. Very funny Kags.” He snapped.
“Okay everyone. I want 10 laps now.” Ms. Siba's voice echoed the subtle gym.
“This is it Kags. What we came here for. We were, are and will always be together.”
“You bet. Lets keep a move on, partner.” She smiled at Rash and they both went right to do what they were told. (a/n: I know Richelle sounds like a girl, so we'll just call him Rash)
00:00:00
“Now grab a partner and your weapons. We are going to have groups go up and demonstrate one at a time.” Ms. Siba spoke. “Rash and Kagome, since we have heard so much about you both, why don't we start with you?”
They nodded and went straight to work. Rash was standing in a defensive stance whilst Kagome charged at him. Her fist made its way towards his face, but he easily dodged it and kicked her in the gut. She stumbled back a bit, and supported herself by doing a back flip; palms pressed against the floor, her body upside down, as she pushed on her elbows, went flying in the air and landed on all fours. A cheer filled the audience and encouraged the two fighters.
Ms. Siba smiled at the thought. This year, for sure, she was going to have students that really would be able to master a course that she dreamt every being should conquer: The Marshal Arts.
Kagome smirked and lunged towards Rash again. This time she came behind him and snaked her arms under his armpits and trapping him. He whimpered a bit, but kicked her below the knee as she winced. A great ache replacing her smirk. Rash took this opportunity and pushed her back, eager to free himself from her grasp. He reached behind him and pulled out his sword and lunged at her. She defended by pulling out her own sword. They plunged at each other: swords grinding against each other. Crackling sounds filled the thin air as they both jumped backwards, making quite a distance between them. A smirk masked both their faces as they stood there with pride, ready to defeat their opponent, despising the thought of whom they were up against.

It was time to change classes. Inu Yasha and company was heading to their next class: Drama. Fortunately, they had their first three classes together.
“Lets move it guys. I don't wanna be late for our second period class,” retorted Sango.
“Relax Sango,” replied Inu Yasha.
She just sighed and sped towards the class.
*****************
“Alright Rash. We both go separate ways. See ya at third period: Lunch!”
“Later Kags.”
With that, they both went their own ways. Kagome entered her second period class, only to find her teacher not there. She sighed and sat down at the back of the class. Students were still coming in and going out. She placed her forehead on the desk, exhausted. Her first period had drained quite a bit of energy out of her. Her fight with Rash stayed incomplete since the both of them were still standing after a few rounds and they had to get a move on with their training.
“Hey wench, you're on my seat.” Snapped someone.
She picked up her head and to see who was responsible for interrupting her thoughts. She gazed at the sight infront of her. His eyes… she just stared in them. They were the most beautiful ones she'd ever seen. They were amber in colour and he had silver hair.
“Oi, didn't you hear me, bitch?”
His gruff voice brought her back to reality as she dismissed the thoughts. She shook her head and spoke, “How can it be your seat when this is the first day of school.”
He just shrugged his shoulders and stated, “Its my seat because I said so. Besides I like sitting at the back near the window.”
“Well too bad. You snooze, you lose”
He narrowed his eyes at her. She was really getting on his nerves. A scene had started now. Everyone had focused their attention at those two. No one dared talked back to Inu Yasha that way, unless you were one of those popular people and this girl wasn't even known, since she just transferred.
“Cool it Inu Yasha.” Miroku said.
Sango walked to Kagome and smiled. “Ignore him. My name is Sango. This is Miroku and the prince-in-red is Inu Yasha, she spoke as she pointed at her two friends.
“Hey. Kagome Higurashi.”
She suddenly found her hands in Miroku's and he flattered her. “My, my. What a beautiful lady. Kagome…” he questioned. “Would you consider bearing my child…?”
His question remained incomplete as Sango slapped him and mumbled, “Pervert.”
Kagome sat there stunned and looked at Inu Yasha who just shook his head.
“Sorry for being late class. I'm Mr. Terris, your drama teacher. Now, the number one thing about drama is `realism'. There should be passion, enthusiasm and realism. Don't let the audience look at you. Let them see the inner you. Let them feel you, understand you, but most likely you should let them be you.”
The whole class stared at him and blinked twice, letting their brains absorb the given information. Though they knew there is no point.
“Okay, you two at the back… ten minutes: perform a affectionate scene.”
“Us?” questioned Kagome and Inu Yasha at the same time.
“Yes, you. The rest of you, discuss with the person beside you. You're next.”
The class quickly rushed to work, not really understanding the `affectionate' part. Unfortunately for Sango, Miroku turned to her and gave her his happiest smile as she feared for her future.
Inu Yasha just groaned and huffed at Kagome.
“Hey pal, I don't really like working with you either, so lets just get this over with.”
00:00:00
The lights were out. Kagome and Inu Yasha were at the front of the class. Kagome's body was limp in Inu Yasha's arms as he kneeled on the floor. One spotlight was focusing at them, as they began their scene. The truth was they didn't even plan anything. All they knew was: `to follow along'.
“Kagome, please. Hang on Kagome. We can do this.”
“No Inu Yasha. It's too late for me. I…”
“Don't say that. You can't leave me Kags.” His voice had become soft and tender. Something Kagome had never expected. She was quite surprised, but she played along.
“Live Yash. For me… “
“No. Please Kags. I can't. Don't leave me Kags, I … I love you.”
[Pulse Pulse] That's all that was heard. Kagome stared at him, her eyes widen in shock. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Silence… that's all that was ringing their ears: the audience's and the performers'.
Then gently he lowered his face to hers. Her heart was beating fast, throbbing against her chest. She was sure; everyone in the room was capable of hearing it. His face was now inches away from her. She could feel his breath on her face. Then he suddenly stopped. His eyes filled with concern as he stared at her: asking her permission. Her brain wasn't functioning. She didn't know what to do. Her eyes blink once as if granting permission, though she had no control on them and he closed the remaining distance between their lips. He lightly brushed his lips against hers and pressed them. She responded right after and he pulled back.
“I love you too… koi.” With that said, her body gave in, as her hand fell to the ground.
“Kagomeeeeee!”
