It was a Monday morning. The first period had started and everyone was in his or her classes. As usual, Kagome had gym first and she was preparing for it. Many thoughts were invading her mind. Kagome was relieved. Her and Inu Yasha had somehow come up with a story and were done before the day ended. He had kissed her all right, but didn't pursue her on his question. She never said a word nor did he after their moment; both realizing that this was not the right time.

“Alright class, I have an announcement to make,” spoke Ms. Siba. “Our school, as usual, has taken part in the Marshal Arts competition - The Shikon Tournament- and we are capable of sending 10 warriors from our school. But, before we are worthy enough of competing, two students from our school are to attend a mini-fight at Japan, Tokyo. Those two students are to prove our school worthy of entering this tournament. Unfortunately, I am to choose only one student from my class, while Mr. Banks gets to choose from his. He is also a Marshal Arts instructor and he has students ranking with you all. So… I don't know, how we're going to do this but I think I will give you an option. I have two students in mind and the class will decide between the two, fair enough?”
Everyone agreed and Ms. Siba spoke her choices, “Kagome and Rash, I would like one of you attend this session and represent our school. Class your choice.”
Both Kagome and Rash stood perplexed as the class thought in silence.
“Umm… Ms.Siba? When exactly is this session? Asked Rash.
“You leave tomorrow.”
“Tomorrow?”
“Yes. I know its short notice but it has to do. Besides, this fight is just something you do everyday. NO biggie! So…”
“Ms. Siba, Kagome will go,” spoke Rash.
“Rash, No its alright, I have no protest. I…”
“No Kags, I can't go!”
“Can't? What do you mean, Rash?”
“Well, I'm leaving for Orlando tomorrow for my leadership program.” He answered.
That hit Kagome hard. He didn't mean to tell her this way, but he had no choice.
“Oh well, then I guess this makes it easier for us. So Kagome, tomorrow to Tokyo?”
Kagome stared at Rash. `How? What? Why didn't she know? He…'
“Kagome?” questioned Ms. Siba.
“Wha? Oh… yeah. Sure.”
With that said, she turned and marched in the change room, followed by the rest of the class.
`He… How could he? He didn't even tell me! Was he even planning to? I mean, if this never came up, would he even tell me? Rash? I thought…' she thought as she changed her clothes.
Kagome exit the change room to see Rash standing outside, waiting for her. She huffed and walked past him.
“Kagome, listen to me. I… Kagome!” Rash begged.
Yet, she just passed him and scurried to her next class.

It was lunch time now and surprisingly Rash was waiting infront of Kagome's locker.
“Kags,”
“Don't Rash. I don't need to hear anything. I think I already have known enough, don't you think? And besides, shouldn't you be looking for Ayame, or will she find you?” Kagome snapped.
“Listen… I didn't wanna tell you like this, but…”
“No Rash. You probably weren't even planning to tell me. I can't believe you.”
“What is the matter with you, Kags?”
“Matter with me? ME? Its you! Ever since that… listen I'm not in the mood of fighting and I'm hungry. Later.”
“Later? Don't you wanna spent lunch together?”
“You sure, you have time?”
“Kagome!” Rash snapped.
“No Rash! I have work to do. I'm sure Ayame would love to accompany you and… wait! Leadership program?” she eyed him.
“Uh… yea,” he replied nervously. He knew what was coming next.
“With…”
“With?”
“You're not going alone, are you?”
“Well, No! Two people are!”
“You and…”
“Yeah, I am and… and…” his voice trailed off.
“Richelle?” called a voice. “Hurry up. We still have to eat and plan for our trip!”
Kagome turned around and indeed it was Ayame.
Kagome's gaze fixed to Rash's. She sent him a silent so-much-for-our-friendship look and ran past him.
“Kago…?” Rash sighed loudly as the pain inside him clutched his heart and made him regret ever moving to this school… no! To ever knowing Ayame. Yet, he held sympathy for her. He knew it wasn't her fault. If it was anyone's it was his. He sighed again and joined Ayame.

It was time for departure. Kagome and someone else had to leave school in 15 minutes. She had done all her packing and now she was ready to go. She had no problem going since she lived in her apartment alone so permission wasn't an issue. Though, she truly felt terrible about yesterday. She was leaving for two weeks and she wasn't in a very pleasant situation with her best friend. Then again… he was leaving as well. If his goodbye wasn't given, then her's wasn't required either.
“Kagome!” Ms. Siba called out.
“In here.” She answered. She was sitting inside the change room.
“Hey, you all right?”
“Yeah… Don't worry I'll be fine. Besides… I'm goin with someone rite?”
Ms. Siba smiled.
“And… that would be…”
“Alrite, I'm movin' old man. Sheesh!” came a voice.
“Honestly Inu Yasha, I still can't believe I'm sending you!” spoke Mr. Banks.
“'Cuz you know I'm your best man!!” smirked Inu Yasha.
Honk Honk
“The bus is here,” informed Ms. Siba. “I wish you the best Kagome. I know you'll make me proud and don't worry. Everything will turn out fine.
Kagome smiled- not only on the confidence her teacher gave, but that she'll be going with someone she knows well enough.
“Kagome, hurry. Inu Yasha is already on the bus,” screamed Mr. Banks.
She ran to the bus and entered. The whole bus was empty, except two seats: one for the driver and the other one was occupied by `him'. She smiled and sat beside him. He had a hat pulled down to his face as if he's sleeping, but she knew he wasn't asleep- yet! She pulled off his hat and tried it on her head.
“Hey, what the…?” Inu Yasha snapped. “Kagome?”
She greeted him with a smile.
“What the hell are you doing here?”
“What are you doing here?”
“I… You… cant… us…we?” He stuttered. “This aint some girlie trip, you know. I think you're on the wrong bus.”
“Nah! I don't think so.”
“Hey driver!” Inu Yasha called out. “Head back! We have a wrong passenger here!”
“What? NO! KEEP GOING!” Kagome glared at Inu Yasha. “What are you doing? For the last time, I can't be on the wrong bus unless this bus isn't goin' to the airport for Tokyo.” She snapped.
Inu Yasha remained speechless. “Kagome, why are you goin' to Tokyo and…”
“I'm goin' there for the same reason you are, idiot!”
Inu Yasha stared for a moment, blinked twice and broke in laughter. She just stared at him as he fell from his seat and rolled on the floor, laughing.
“You… Goin'... to… fight! Wow! Your teach must really have some pity for you.” He sat up now and looked at her. “You and fight!?!” He smirked.
“Wanna bet?” With that, his cheek fell victim to her fist. She had punched him in the face and he went flying to the seat across his. Blood made its way down from the corner of his mouth. He was stunned.
`She just didn't!' He thought. `No! She just didn't!'
“Is everything fine there?” asked the driver.
“Hmph! Now it is, thank you very much!” Kagome bit out and made her way to the back of the bus to sit down.
Inu Yasha wiped the blood with the back of his hand and glared at her. She glared back and turned her head to look outside her window.

They were in the airplane now. It had been flying for quite a time. Kagome and Inu Yasha had their seats right next to each other and unfortunately for them, there was no other seat available on the plane. They were at their opposite ends of the seats, trying to get as much distance as possible between them. But then again, how big are the seats in the airplane.
It was pitch dark now. Kagome was getting really tired. She hadn't had a proper sleep for this whole week and she couldn't possibly stay up any longer, despising her fight with Inu Yasha. She started dozing out and was soon asleep. Kagome was very uneasy in on her seat and started fidgeting her positions. Finally, she stopped and laid her head on Inu Yasha's shoulder. He ignored it for a moment. Then pushed his shoulder up, trying to get her head off. Her head would turn to her right, and then end back on her left- his shoulder. He did that quite a few times before admitting defeat. Exhausted, he laid his head upon hers and together the two of them fell asleep, not caring about the events that had taken place earlier.
