Chapter 15-Admittance

 

The fire fighters found Naraku's dead body, but miraculously when they found Kagome she was breathing, in a coma, but alive! Kikyo went to the hospital with her, at school everyone was wearing the black uniforms in hope for the recovery, and donations were being made like crazy.

 

All the time there were flowers at the front desk that had to be delivered to the hospital, Inuyasha never left her side after school, he was always there holding her hand, Kikyo holding the other one, and they watched in joy and relief as her eyes opened, their blue grey depths hazy, but alert.

 

“Kikyo….Inuyasha….” she whispered softly, they both hugged her at the same time, and tears came to her eyes, she hadn't known that they would be so worried, if she had she would have woken up sooner than she had.

 

She spent six weeks in the hospital until she was finally allowed to go back to the shrine, where Kikyo and Kakeromoro were now decorating for Christmas, at least part of it, the other part they were decorating for a baby shower.

 

They had gotten married the moment Kagome was able to attend, it had been a small affair, but gorgeous nonetheless, Kikyo looked so happy every time she touched her stomach that Kagome felt slightly jealous, but didn't say anything.

 

Inuyasha hadn't spoken to her since the day of the wedding, which had been almost four weeks ago, and that was just to ask her if she was thirsty. She was slightly upset about the fact that he wouldn't come to the shrine or even call to see how she was doing.

 

She hated to admit it, but it hurt being ignored like that, it was raining the day she wanted to take a walk, it rarely snowed in Tokyo (I have no clue if that's true), but it rained.

 

She grabbed her umbrella and pulled on her shoes before walking out into the downpour, Kikyo and Kakeromoro were out somewhere with their own friends, and so she let her feet decide where to take her.

 

She walked down the streets and found herself in the park; she walked over to the railing that separated the pond from the dirt path. She watched as the rain drops beat down onto the water.

 

“Interesting, ne?” said an amused voice, she whirled around and there Inuyasha stood in a black raincoat with the hood pulled up, she met his eyes before looking away, there was so much they needed to talk about, but she didn't want to talk about any of it.

 

Suddenly Inuyasha hugged her, her umbrella clattered to the ground, she was being soaked by the rain but she found herself uncaring as Inuyasha's body heat seeped into her own.

 

“I was so scared when that building collapsed, I'd thought that I'd lost you…I couldn't believe that you would sacrifice your life for mine and everyone else's. But your that kind of person, thinking of everyone else before yourself.” he whispered into her ear, she began to cry into his chest.

 

“I was scared to, when you were under his control….I thought….I thought I'd have to kill you…but I couldn't…I couldn't kill the person I…” she trailed off, suddenly shy at confessing her love.

 

“You what?” he asked curiously, she looked up at him with a soft blush staining her cheeks.

 

“I love…Inuyasha, I love you.” she whispered, he smiled before leaning down towards her lips.

 

“I love you, to, my Kagome.” he whispered, before their lips met in a gentle kiss, they were different from the other ones they had shared, this one declared the love that they had long kept hidden.

“Gotcha!” Kagome jumped down, her hair up in a ponytail, she in her Seeker uniform, the little girl stared up at her in amazement then her eyes went wide and Kagome turned around in time to see her boyfriend knock the demon out with a brick.

 

“I told you, there are always two when it comes to vampire demons.” Inuyasha sighed at Seeker.

 

“Who are you?” the little girl asked before she ran off to where her mom and dad were waiting.

 

“The good guys.” Kagome said as her niece ran to her sister, she felt Inuyasha kiss her on the neck, before touching her left hand that had a diamond ring on.

 

“One day we'll have to tell Kieso about her aunt.” he laughed in her ear.

 

“I know…but let her stay normal…just a little while longer.” Kagome said turning around to meet Inuyasha's lips.
