The next morning,kagome woke up next to a very happy looking young fox cub.

shippo- MOMMA!!MOMMA!! Your alive!!and..........different.

kagome- Well of course im alive...............what do you mean by "different"?

shippo- well last night lady kaede said that you past away.

kagome-what?! but i thought it was just a dream.

shippo- nope.......but go look into that bowl of water over there.you can actually be my mommy now! ^__^

kagome walks over to the bowl of water andwhat she sees makes her gasp in amazement.

kagome-oh...........my.

when kagome looked into the water this is what she sees; two black dog ears with reed tips, a reddish black cat tail,claws,and she had grown at least another foot and a half,her raven black hair was now a pinkish red with white streaks,her eyeshad changed from brown to a silvery bluish color and she had filled out in certain parts.

kagome- wow! im a neko youkai! shippo. howd this happen to me?

shippo- well last night when everyone heard you were "dead" inuyasha went outside of the hut with the second half of the jewel after kikyo stole the first half.

kagome- 'so it wasnt a dream' okay...........but howd i change?

myoga appears on kagomes shoulders and explains.

myoga-well you see kagome, inuyasha made a wish that you were still alive and could live as long as him.

kagome-okay..........but how does that explain the wish coming true. i mean we still need the other half.....dont we?

myoga-well it seems to me that his wish came tru because of two reasons: 1) his heart is pure and 2) he loves you.


kagome-really? i got to go i'll be right back.

a few minutes later kagome saw a very rare sight. a hanyou sitting in the god tree crying.

kagome- INUYASHA!! dont cry for me inuyasha, im alive!

inuyasha- k-kag-kagome! is that you?!

kagome- yes inuyasha its me! myoga told me everrything that happend!

inuyasha- but-but I.....We all thought you were d........

kagome- dead?

inuyasha-well yeah............kaede even said so..............but what happened to you?

kagome- well myoga told me that you made a wish and it ame true because of your pure heart and your love for me.

inuyasha- *blushes a bit*well yeah you see...........i..........love you kagome!.........will you..............be my mate?

kagome-*jumps into inuyashas arms and places her head on his chest* yes inuyasha yes!

inuyasha and kagome hug each other and inuyasha takes in kagomes new scent.

kagome-inuyasha? can we become mates after we beat naraku?

inuyasha- sure thing.

kagome- by the way inuyasha? can you teach me to fight?

inuyasha-sure,but i'll also have to teach you also how to use your new enhanced senses from now on.

just before inuyasha and kagome could walk away they could both hear a faint slap and a faint 'hentai" being yelled.

kagome-when will miroku ever learn?

inuyasha- you could hear that?

kagome- of course i could.

inuyasha-well it looks lik your new senses have already kicked in. lets get going.

sango and miroku- ka-kagome!! your alive! and........

kagome- a neko youkai... can you please be more quiet? i have sesitive hearing now.

sango-ooops sorry kagome.

miroku- i cant beleive your alive.

shippo- and you guys said she was alive in our hearts. i told you so

miroku- well lets get inside and have lunch everyone

kagome- i'll be in a minute i just want to talk with inuyasha.

miroku- okay,we'll save you something

just then naraku appears and puts a spell around the hut so they wont notice that he appeared and notices that kagome isn't dead.

naraku-WENCH!! how can you still be alive?!!

kagome- well i had a second chance at life! and me and inuyasha are mates to be!

inuyasha- thats right naraku,now die!!!

naraku easilly dodges inuyashas attack and sends inuyasha crashing through 3 trees

kagome- LEAVE INUYASHA ALONE!!!!!!! *a pinkish ligh surrounds kagome and she punches naraku so hard he is sent flying and is forced to retreat*

inuyasha-ka-kagome......you beat naraku.......for now but i still have to teach you how to fight better. come on lets get going.

kagome-sure thing inuyasha.......ya know since we did "beat" naraku lets becom mates for life right now. please?

inuyasha-okay but everyone is going to be allowed to see it and its going to hurt a bit.

kagome- im up to it.

inuyasha sticks out his fangs and penetrates them both into kagomes neck and starts to lick some trickiling blood.

inuyasha- now that your demon kagome i want you to do the same thing.

kagome-okay

kagome does as shes told and she makes two puncture holes in inuyashas neck and starts licking some blood trickling down his neck.

inuyasha- now these puncture holes wont dissappear and they have our scents mixed together on them because they now symbolize that were mates.
