Sighing, she pressed her cheek to his chest as he wrapped his strong arms around her. She felt herself shiver, and she began to cry softly. They were gone... dead... Mom, Souta, Granpa, Buuyo... He killed them. Somehow he had passed through the well and found them. "Damn him," she whispered in a cracked voice. her mate gripped her tighter.

She was sobbing now, great heaves wracking her small body. 'I will avenge my family; the bastard will DIE...' she tought as she pushed herself away from her silver-haired husband and picked up her bow and quiver of aarows. She wiped away her mourning tears and glanced back at Inuyasha. He nodded and she began walking. Her body quaked with unsupressable rage, and her eyes had turned a color close to an amberish-red.

She stormed through the woods, quickening her pace as she saw his palace loom nearer and nearer. A bright, almost blinding, white light surrounded her, turning the moonless night into mid-day. Animals fled in all directions from the once sweet human. A low, demon-like growl emitted itself from deep within her being, seemingly from her soul. Her nails had formed themselves into piercing claws, and her hair had lengthened and turned silver. Her canine teeht lengthened into semi-long fangs. The small amount of demonic blood coursing though her body, activated by the immense anger, changed her. She charged forward, leaping over the tall castle walls, easily clearing them by a good five meters.

Inuyasha followed in a zombie-like trance. His mate was turning into a demon before his very eyes. Her ears had become pointed and sensitive. She could hear him breathing... the one who had killed those she loved. She pulled an arrow from the quiver and drew it back. Listening carefully, she took aim. She released the arrow and a bright, evil-red aura surrouded it as it shot through the air and walls between ther and her target.

A terrifying howl filled the air as the arrow pierced Naraku's right shoulder. He reached up to pull the arrow from his flesh and was burned by the still glowing aura. A vicious, sickening smile spread slowly across Kagome's face as she launched another red arrow. The second struck him through his left elbow, shattering every bone in the arm instantly.

Inuyasha stood astounded at the way she was acting. It seemed as though not just her looks were changed by the activation of the dormant demonic blood. She was now the same blood thirsty monster he was when he transformed, only she seemed to have more control over her abilities. She was going after only one vicitim, while he went after dozens.

She started walking now, he aura lighting the dark castle. Through the winding corridors she stalked her quarry, that disturbing smile plastered to her beautiful face. Her ears tuned into his pounding heart. She turned into a room on her left, drawing back another arrow to fire.

"You killed my family," she whispered, her eyes narrowing with hate, "And now.. You're going to pay!" She released the arrow and it pierced his belly. Blood covered his clothes, and a look of unadulterated terror filled his eyes. She could hear his thoughts: 'How... how could I never sense the demonice essence?' Her smile scared him beyond reason and he tried to take a step back. Yet another arrow flew, and it sealed his foot tot he floor.

The once fearless Naraku was now avid with terror. His confidence had long since fled, and with it his ability to fight. He who had once laughed at Kagome and Inuyasha's perils, was on the verge of death and being laughed at viciously. Kagome moved from the door and strolled over to the bloody bastard. She wrapped her left hand around his throat and lifted him, tearing the arrow from his foot in doing so. He tried to some how lift his right hand so as to remove the deadly hand from his neck but couldn't move because of the arrow in his shoulder.

She threw him down and spat. "You killed them all and now..." She drew back a final arrow and aimed for his heart. "You Shall DIE!!!" she released the taught string and grined as the blood colored arrow impaled his heart, causing it to burst upon impact.

She glared down at his corpse and gave it one last kick. She then bent dodwn and closed the unseeing eyes, showing some respect, even though he hadn't. Inuyasha looked in on the gruesome scene, and quickly walked over to her mate. He was unsure whether he should draw her attention or not, and let out a soft, nearly inaudible whimper.

She quickly stood up and walked past him, her hair flowing behind her. She calmly strolled out of the castle and through the front gates, Inuyasha following a food 25 paces behind. She walked back into the forest. Leaping from limb to limb she quickly returned to the tree where she had first laid eyes on Inuyasha.

Landing in front of the tree, she sank to her knees. Her eyes darkened back to that beautiful brown. Her hair shortened some and returned to its natural raven. Her ears returned to human, and her claws to dull nails.

Tears began falling and she started to weep. She put her hands to her face, crying into them. When Inuyasha finally found her, he enfolded her in his arms, and pulled her to him. He gently kissed her forehead, cheeks and eyelids, trying his best to comfort her. He rocked gently, swaying htheir bodies back and forth. He didn't know what to say to her. 'It would eventually be all right,' but that's what everyone always says when something bad happens. He wracked his mind trying, and failing, to come up with something to say. All he could do was try and silently comfort her as best as he possibly could. his right hand gently rubbed her back, and his left hand rested on her shoulder blades. His shirt soaked up her tears, and his lips pressed against her forehead.

For hours they sat like this, rocking to and fro, her crying and him comforting. Slowly her tears subsided and she fell into welcomed unconsciousness. He gathered her limp body and carried her back to kaede's village. Of course it was no longer Kaede's but theirs. (...Actually, it was kagome's but she had once told him that what was hers was his as well.) As he walked into the village, people took one look at him carrying her bloody body, and began whispering. He sighed and tightened his grasp, and "Feh"-ed mentally. "Damn idiots, within the next two hours, the whole village'll think she's dead, or that I hurt her," he grumbled incoherently under his breath. He got to their house and immediately took the bloodied clothes off and bathed her. She had a miniscule scratch on her left bicep but other than that she had no physical injuries. He had just gotten her on their bed, and himself undressed to bathe, when someone started pounding on the front door.

He sighed and stalked to the dorr, displeased with the person outside. "Who the hell is is, and what do you want?" He growled. "It's Shippo, Sango, and me," a voice said. Inuyasha rolled his eyes and opened the door. "Where's Kagome?!" Shippo demanded as he bounced through the threshold. "Shut up runt," Inuyasha said briskly and hit the kitsune on the head between the ears. "OWWWWWWW!!!" Shippo glared up at him as a large bump popped up. Inuyasha gave him an uncharacteristically Kagome-like death-glare, and he immediately hushed.

He got them a drink from Kagome's oversized yellow bookbag, and they sat down. He told them quietly about Naraku killing Kagome's family, her reactions, hre transformation, killing Naraku, and leaving the castle to return to the place they had first met. He told them that he had been about to take his own bath when they arrived.

(~*A/N: Well, that's the first chapter. I know the ending is kinda sucky, but writer's block struck at the worst possible time. T_T *tear* I already have the second chapter typed and ready to post, but I'm not until y'all give me at least 5 reviews.
