Taking Lifes
Last Time:
Kagome unsheathed her twin Katana's of Inazuma (Lightning) and Koori (Ice) and
sent bolts of power at him.
"Had enough," Kagome asked looking down at him on the ground.
"Not a chance," Hiei said in a bored tone.
"Stop," Yusuke yelled out and walked over to where Kagome was now on the ground.
"Lets go," Yusuke said to his sister and they left to go to his house.
"Bye Inuyasha," Kagome said hugging him and grabbed Kilala and ran after Yusuke.
"Bye Kagome," Inuyasha said heading back to the well not knowing that when he
came back Kagome would never be the same again.
This Time:
Kagome and Yusuke walked down the stiars.
"Dammit why must there be so many stairs," Yusuke asked/complained.
"Because its a shrine," Kagome said.
"Whatever," Yusuke said and kept walking.
A couple minutes past and they were finally at Yusuke's house. Yusuke had moved out
of his house with his mom and now lives here. Kagome entered the house and saw
it was a mess.
'Typical Yusuke,' Kagome thought smiling and then heard some sounds outside.
"What was that," Kagome asked.
"I dont know, but it doesnt sound good," Yusuke said running outside with
Kagome right behind.
When they reached outside there was a huge ugly demon there.
'Its power is huge,' Kagome thought and saw Yusuke getting ready to fight.
'If he shouts that the demon may absorbe it,' Kagome thought and then
shouted out to Yusuke not to do it but he did.
The demon absorbed it and then thrust it right back at him. Kagome closed
her eyes at the blinding light and then opened them to hear Yusuke's agonizing
scream.
"YUSUKE," Kagome screamed with tears pouring out of her eyes.
A fire erupted and consumed Yusuke's body within the flames. Kagome sat there
tears pouring out of her beautiful crimson red eyes that blended with the blood
around her. Kagome got up and unsheathed her katanas and sliced the demons
head off for revenge for her brother. But that wasnt enough to satisfy her. She
needed to see more dead before she could put to rest her brothers soul. Kagome
ran into the streets killing anyone in her path. 2 then 4 then 10 people were dead
but still wasnt enough. Humans werent enough for her so she went after the one
demon she knew. Hiei. Kagome raced through the trees with blood red eyes. She
finally reached were she sensed Hiei's aura and saw him in a tree watching a
girl with blue/green hair. A sinister smirk came to grace her lips and she ran over
to the girl and took hold of her with the katana to her throat. She saw the death
that promised in Hiei's eyes. Hiei jumped down from the tree and ran over to her
and took Yukina from her hands and put her inside where she was safe. Kagome
looked over at Hiei and charged at him. Hiei dodged and then soon knocked her
out.
'What's wrong with her,' Hiei thought as he picked her up and ran off towards
Yusuke's.
Hiei got there and saw ashes everywhere. 'What happened here,' Hiei thought
to himself as he went through the ash with his free hand.
Hiei looked around and then decided to put Kagome down. He layed her down on
the sidewalk and then went around in the ash. He then saw the communicater
that belonged to Yusuke in a pile of ash.
'Did he burn to death,' Hiei thought as he heard Kagome groan in pain.
"What happened, i feel like i was hit by a train," Kagome said rubbing her head.
"Onna tell me, what happened here," Hiei demanded.
"Yusuke," Kagome whispered as tears formed in her eyes again.
"What," Hiei asked but heard what she said.
"There was a demon," pause, "He came and Yusuke tried to kill him, but it absorbed
the attack, and shot it right back at him," Kagome said now breaking down in tears.
"I see," Hiei said and then called Kurama on his communicater.
"Yes," Kurama said.
"We have a problem, come to Yusuke's house or whats left of it," Hiei said and then
turned it off.
"Kurama is coming," Hiei said and had a little concern for the girl. She had lost so
much and such a little time. He got down and rubbed her back trying to comfort her.
Kurama raced over to Yusuke's worried about what Hiei said. He finally reached there
and saw Kagome on the ground crying and Hiei trying to comfort her.
"Kagome," Kurama said walking over to them.
"Kurama," Kagome said looking up with tears still pouring down her face.
"Are you alright," Kurama asked.
"Of course she isnt," Hiei said stating the obvious.
"Well, i think ill live," Kagome said getting up and whiping the tears away.
"Oh Kagome," Kurama said hugging his younger cousin.
"Why him, why did this have to happen, why now of all times," Kagome asked crying
onto his shoulder soaking his shirt.
"I dont know," Kurama said hugging her closer and he could tell that Yusuke had died
either in the fire or due to something else, in due time Hiei or Kagome would tell him.
Kuwabara came walking up and saw Yusuke's house like this. He knew from Kagome
crying that Yusuke died. He may have fought with Yusuke a lot but he was like a
brother to him. Silent tears fell down his face as he turned around and left in silence.
Kagome saw Kuwabara come and felt for him. He and Yusuke had been so close. She
cried for him. She saw the silent tears that he had shed for Yusuke.
"We should get going, i have to get back now that i must live back at the shrine,"
Kagome said pulling out of the hug and and headed off in the direction.
"Kagome wait, you can stay with me," Kurama said making her stop in her tracks.
"But then this might happen again, the place were i am safe and everyone else from
me is at the shrine or in the feudal era," Kagome said with tears welling up and then
she ran off heading towards the shrine.
"Wait," Kurama shouted and ran after her.
Using her demon speed she made it home in no time. Hiei was in the god tree when
she got there and she looked up at him curious to why he was here.
"Hiei, why are you here," Kagome asked.
"Hn, to make sure you're fine," Hiei said and closed his eyes.
"I am fine, you dont have to stay here," Kagome said going inside.
After a half a hour Kagome came back outside with her backpack full. Clutching the
Shikon Jewel to herself she headed over to the well. 'I want to go back and see Inu
again and visit Shippo's grave,' Kagome thought. She opened the door and spotted
Hiei still in the tree.
"Im leaving now Hiei, you can go, ill be fine," Kagome said and entered the well.
'I dont believe her,' Hiei thought and jumped down from the tree running over to the
well jumping in right after her.
'Dammit he made it through,' Kagome thought and jumped out.
"You thought you could leave without me," Hiei asked and jumped out of the well.
"Yes i could," Kagome said.
"Well you were wrong," Hiei said and sat on the edge of the well.
"He's coming," Kagome said running off towards the village with Hiei right behind her.
"Kagome," Inuyasha said looking at her.
"The one and only," Kagome said and laughed as she hugging Inuyasha.
"I missed you," Inuyasha said.
"But it hasnt even been a day," Kagome said.
"But that doesnt mean that i cant miss you," Inuyasha said smiling.
"Why did you come back so soon," Inuyasha asked.
"Umm some stuff came up and ill be living here now," Kagome said.
"Really, thats great," Inuyasha exclaimed and hugged her again.
"Yes it is," Kagome said smiling sadly and then hugging him back.
"Whos that," Inuyasha said pointing to Hiei in the tree.
"Oh thats Hiei," Kagome said, "He's from my time."
"Oh," Inuyasha said.
"Well lets all get some sleep, we have a full day ahead of us i want to visit Sesshomaru
to ask him a favor," Kagome said and walked over to the hut.
"Why," Inuyasha said following her.
"Because i need to ask him if he can revive Shippo, i miss him dearly," Kagome said
and settled down falling into a dreamless sleep with Inuyasha right next to her.
