InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Demons in Disguise ❯ Masked ( Chapter 20 )
Sesshou raised a brow and looked at his friend suspiciously. Although, he decided not to ponder over this any further just in case what Wufei said was true.
"Okay then," he said. "Now for your end of the deal."
"I've got my computer system all set and ready for hacking," Wufei made known. "You guys sit tight for a while. Next time I come back, Rin's free as a bird."
"Thanks, Wufei," Rin smiled and clasped Sesshou's hand tight. Wufei acknowledged her then left the room. Rin then decided to see how Sesshou's wound was doing.
"Stay still, sweetie," Rin told him as she began to lift the bandage on his head slightly. "I'm just going to…huh?"
When Rin got a good look under the bandage she realized that the once gory gash was now little more than a scratch.
"Something wrong?" Sesshou asked when he saw the surprised look on her face. Rin just blinked. She opened her mouth to speak, but Wufei reentered the room before she could.
"Done," Wufei informed them. Sesshou smiled while Rin giggled happily while hugging her beau. Unfortunately, Wufei wasn't done speaking.
"But there is a condition."
The happy couple halted their rejoice and Rin gazed up at Wufei with concern.
"And that is?" Sesshou prodded.
"Rin's former foster parents, Mr. And Mrs. George Takamura withhold the right to meet with Rin and her new guardian before they agree to let her go."
Rin slumped and Sesshou cursed under his breath.
"Those imbeciles. Why can't they just let her go?" Sesshou said in an irritated tone.
"Don't they still think you were the one who caused my seizure the other day?" Rin emphasized. Sesshou dug his face into one hand with an aggravated groan. Wufei choose this time to interject.
"I can help you there," Wufei claimed.
"Really? How then?" Sesshou specified with interest. A mischievous glint twinkled in Wufei's eyes.
"Trust me. By the time I'm done with you, you won't even recognize yourself," Wufei teased. He slammed his fist against the surface of a vanity desk by the door. A hidden compartment underneath the desk surface unlatched and swung forward. The compartment had many make-up kits and hair products. Rin rushed to it and dug through the products excitedly.
"Wow, this is so cool!" she exclaimed with a smile. Rin filed through the hair products looking for something.
"Which one of these do you use to make your hair so shiny?"
Wufei's eyes widened and he swung his head to Sesshou who was stifling a chuckle.

Wufei had been kind enough to lend Rin and her new beau his red convertible Mercedes along with his chauffeur to drive to the Takamura's house in order to give them a good impression. The man who stepped out of the car with Rin had neat business-style quaffed dark brown hair. His skin was a normal peach and he wore sliver thin-rim glasses over his clear gray-blue eyes. He was wearing a faded jean jacket over a red button-up shirt, khaki cargo jeans, and slightly worn sneakers.
Rin wore a lovely pink, snug, short sleeved shirt with thick horizontal white stripes. Her hair had a top-knot near the back, and she wore stud earrings, made out of red glass, and shaped like little roses. She had on a long white skirt trimmed with pink vine patterned embroidery. On her feet were polished hot pink sandals and milk white stockings.
"My, my Sessh-oh! I'm sorry," Rin giggled. "I mean Naritsu Kenko."
Sesshou, disguised as a Mister Naritsu Kenko, rolled his eyes and shoved her a bit.
"Laugh it up, pinky," Sesshou/Naritsu grinned. Rin gave him one of her innocent smiles then strung her arm through his. Arm in arm, they walked up to the front door of the middle-class house that was decorated with too many dry flower arrangements. Rin patted his arm reassuringly. With a deep breath Sesshou/Naritsu pressed the doorbell. After the homey tune of the bell rung, there was a quiet scuffling inside. Sesshou/Naritsu was nervous inside, but showed no sign of his feeling outside.
The doorknob turned then Mrs. Janice Takamura swung open the door to greet them. Her thin lips perked up into a smile. She was wearing her plain brown hair up in a tight bun, her hollow cheek bones shown brightly with too much red blush on her cheeks, and she wore a dark green dress with black lace collar, simple brown loafer shoes, and a lacey white apron.
"Oh, Rin dear, I'm so glad you're alright!" Janice cried as she scuttled over to Rin then kissed her cheeks. "My, my, don't you look just as cute as a button!"
Janice remarked before waving over Mr. Takamura. George strutted over the doorway with a smile. His red-brown hair (which was obviously a toupee) was perfectly styled in usual business style. He wore a white button shirt with a faded blue sleeveless sweater over it. His jeans were perfectly pressed, and his dark brown eyes were kind through his thick rim glasses. He puffed his oak pipe and kissed Rin's forehead. She stifled a cough from Mr. Takamura's tobacco smoke.
"It's good to see you guys, too," Rin remarked politely. Sesshou/Naritsu simply stood there with his arm latched with Rin's like a mannequin. Finally, to his relief Rin noticed his silence and took it upon herself to introduce him.
"Oh! And let me introduce Naritsu Kenko. Naritsu, Mr. And Mrs. Takamura."
Sesshou/Naritsu shook Mr. Takamura hand and bowed his head to Mrs. Takamura.
"Pleasure to meet both of you," he greeted with a small grin. Mr. Takamura puffed his pipe and smiled back.
