The moon hung high now, a quarter or so passed its full capacity. Within a week or so it would disappear from the sky. In Inuyasha's hut slept Rin and Kagome soundly. Inuyasha had fallen asleep sitting up on the steps. Sesshou was wide awake lying down on a branch in one of the tree's outside the hut.
Little did any of them know that Jarogajin's demons were lurking toward them. Three to be precise. Two were nimble long limbed demons dressed in snug blue and yellow robes. The third was a large thug that relied on its bulk. It was just barely shorter than the trees it walked under, and it wore ragged, dirty robes that were torn in many places.
The two nimble demons approached first with sinister grins on their sharp faces. They moved with incredible speed despite the many daggers tied around their waists. They hopped onto the roof of the hut without anyone detecting them; Silent as they were quick. With a hushed snicker, the first demon grabbed a dagger and slashed a hole in the roof. The second demon caught the roof debris before they could disturb the women within. The first hopped through the ceiling and landed in a soft crouch. It approached its slumbering target and leaned close to inspect her face with its rancid breath swirling around her face.
The woman groaned and waved her hand in front of her face to fan away the noxious demon breath. She yawned and delicately opened her eyes. She heard something hiss and rubbed the crust from her lids. As her vision cleared she saw the horrible face of the creature looming over her. The target opened her mouth to scream, but the demon slapped its hand over her mouth and scooped her up in its other arm. In one single leap, it was back on the roof with a terrified girl in its grasp. The other female sleeping in the barely stirred. Believing themselves successful, the creatures hopped off the roof back to the ground.
Meanwhile, Sesshou was fighting to keep his eyes open. He was just about to slip in slumber when he heard a low voice groan from behind him. This was followed by the sounds of branches snapping. He sat up alert and gazed into the dark woods where the sound came from. His sensitive nose picked up the acrid odor of a large beast. This beast made itself known when it strode up right near Sesshou's perch. The creature was the larger of the three demons Jarogajin had sent.
Still not adjusted to the many strange fearsome creatures in the Feudal Era, Sesshou was understandable freaked out. He sprang from the branch and hurried back to the hut. The lumbering beast, simple-minded as it were, took the sudden movement as a sort of trigger switch. It followed Sesshou in rather crooked pursuit.
The sudden rushes of movement was enough to wake Inuyasha. And the first thing he saw was the limber demons making their way into the forest with a girl who, in the dark, looked much like Rin. He was about to take chase until he saw Sesshou running from the trees. Inuyasha soon saw the reason for the him being in such a hurry. A large behemoth of a demon emerging from the trees.
"Damn it to Hell! Where did all these demons come from?!" Inuyasha said drawing his Tetsaiga. "There's this guy and those two pipsqueaks who took Rin--."
"They took Rin?!" Sesshou echoed. "Which way did they go?!"
"Right over there in the brush. You go, I'll take of--," Inuyasha stopped speaking when he noticed Sesshou was already gone.

Speeding through the trees, Sesshou strained to keep on track of the demons' scent. Although his ambition to rescue Rin fueled his stamina. Soon the skinny creatures were in his sights, scurrying through the shrubs. Sesshou strained to keep up with the swift demons, who upon noticing him, split up in different directions. Too hastened to track Rin's fragrance Sesshou made a wild guess as to which demon carried Rin, and he followed the one who went to the right.
He zipped for only a second until he lost sight of the demon. He halted and stood alert in the night forest focusing on finding Rin's smell. Little did he know, the demon he had followed was much closer than he thought, but he was too preoccupied to detect its scent. The demon watched him from the tree tops waiting for the opportune moment to pounce. Once it gathered its bearings the demon sprang upon Sesshou's back, clawing at his shoulders, and let out a shrill howl from it's throat.
Sesshou grunted and rolled on the ground the knock the beast off. He stood again when his maneuver failed to loosen the determined demon. He grabbed its foot off his hip and threw it against a tree trunk. It quickly jumped to its feet and shot Sesshou a deadly glare. It began running circles around Sesshou in order to confuse him. The battle pattern was working at first, promptly disorienting the demonic man. But something switched on inside of him. A new more apt force took over his mind and body.
The demon, thinking it had properly bumbled its prey, rebounded off a tree trunk and lunged at Sesshou. Without even flinching Sesshou held out his glowing green hand so that the cocky demon rammed straight into it. The poison from his claws spread throughout its body, quickly rendering it disabled. It dropped to the ground as the life drained from it quickly. Not wasting a moment, Sesshou promptly picked up the scent of the late demon's brethren. He zoomed over the twigs and grass so swiftly that it would be hard to see him at all. Dodging trunks and low branches with ease, it wasn't long before he caught up with the demon holding his Rin hostage.
Jarogajin's demon was no fool, and felt that this new Sesshou could vaporize it within seconds. So thinking fast it reached into a pouch around its waist and took out a handful of a sand-like dust. As soon as Sesshou was neck and neck with it, the demon burst the dust into his eyes. Sesshou cursed, he was required to halt since the dust had blinded him and was burning his irises. The force inside him receded into his mind waiting until the next battle to take over again. When Sesshou opened his eyes again, the lithe demon and its scent was gone, along the girl who was assumed to be his beloved Rin.
