The most and only perfect moment in his life had been ruined, he didn't know what he was up to but he was going to kill him anyways, he wanted to know why was he so wicked, why did he had to spoil every moment of happiness he would have, why did he hate him so much? He waited impatiently as the elevator went to Naraku's floor. Once the door opened, he ran over to his apartment and with a kick opened the door of his place. He heard Naraku getting scared by the noise he made but Inuyasha didn't care, he turned on the lights as he walked over to his room. Naraku came out of there with a gun on his hand and pointed to his head. He sighed heavily and looked at him furious as he pulled away his gun.

 

“What do you want Inuyasha?” he asked as he went back to his room.

 

“I want to know why” Naraku looked at him dazed.

 

“Why what?” Inuyasha went next to him and grabbed him by his throat; he pulled him up and heard him choking.

 

“Why did you set me up?!” he yelled and let him down, Naraku tried to catch his breath as he laughed.

 

“Oh, so she realized that it was you who broke in” Inuyasha was about to grab him and choke him to death this time but he aimed his gun to him. “Not this time Yashie”

 

“Tell me… what are you trying to do?” Naraku laughed and sat on his sofa, he pointed at one so Inuyasha could sit but he stood there watching him furious.

 

“Me? Nothing… yet, you know I always wanted to know who she was… how she looked like, how good she would be… because I wanted to know if she looked like her father” Inuyasha finally sat and grinned.

 

“You could have been able to compare them if only you haven't killed him” Naraku looked at him furious and Inuyasha laughed. “It's not funny anymore when you're not laughing right?”

 

“Don't try to be a smart ass…” he said as he pulled out a cigarette. “If you came here to interrogate me, you should have come in the morning”

 

“I want her necklace” Naraku laughed.

 

“I'll give you the necklace back Inuyasha” he stood up and walked over to a drawer, he pulled out a box of cigarettes. “If you let me have the girl”

 

“Never” Naraku chuckled as he lighted up one of the cigarettes he pulled out of the box. “I rather have rats eat me alive”

 

“Now, I would like that too but… if you want to give her that ugly necklace back, you'll have to promise that you won't get near her again… it's pretty simple, Shinta would have told you to agree” Inuyasha growled furious and Naraku laughed. “You're right, it's only funny when I'm laughing”

 

“Don't you have enough by taking Kikyo away from me?” he arched his brow.

 

“You should be thanked I saved you from her, you would be ruin if you keep a bitch like her… of course, she's worth all the troubles for the greatest sex I ever had…”

 

Inuyasha felt like hitting him, but he controlled himself when he remembered the gun he held on his hand. He stood up and slammed the door on his way out. Naraku kept smoking until his cigarette finished. He went to the same drawer to put back the box and pulled out the necklace he had make Kagura steal from Kagome's house, he looked at it and sighed.

 

“Now, what will I do with you?”

“Sweetie, it's time to get up” her mother said and she lazily opened her eyes. “I thought you will never get up… you look terrible, have you been crying?”

 

“No” her mother touched her cheek softly and cleaned a tear she had, she smiled and nodded.

 

“Alright, now… I've wanted to ask you a few things, what would you like for your birthday?” Kagome looked at her mother confused.

 

“My birthday?” she laughed. “I don't know mom, it's not like I want something… and I couldn't ask for something because I like everything you buy for me… anything you want to get me will be fine”

 

“If you say so… now get up, rise and shine” her mother kissed her cheek and let her alone so she could get ready to school.

 

Kagome looked herself at the mirror and noticed another tear rolling down her cheek; she had cried the whole night and assumed she woke up crying, for him. `Obviously, everything he did and say was to get closer to me and he did all that so he could get that necklace… he regretted the day he gave me back and decided to steal it anyways and I… I bought every word that left his mouth and fell in his trap like fly in the spider's web' she closed her eyes to stop herself from crying as she changed her clothes. She got her shoes and bag as she went down to her mother's kitchen. She ate her break fast while she was drowned in her thoughts; the touch of her grandfather's hand on her neck woke her up.

 

“Kagome, where's the necklace your father gave you?” her mother looked back and got worried.

 

“Yes dear, where did you leave it?” Kagome smiled nervously.

 

“I left it at Sango's house last night… we were watching a movie and it was choking me so I took it off, she might give it back to me at school… if not, I'll go by her house and take it” her mother nodded and Kagome stood up as she left the dishes on the sink. “Thanks for the breakfast mom, bye grandpa, bye Souta, bye mom”

 

She walked slowly to school, on her way she found Miroku and Sango. She hid behind a tree so they didn't notice she was there, she didn't want to interrupt them. Kagome looked at them so happy and in love; she felt jealous and sighed heavily. The thought of her first kiss came to her mind again and a quick smile came to her lips followed by a long melancholic smile. She kept on walking and felt someone grab her mouth, she tried to scream but the only thing that was able to be heard were here mumbles. She was taken far from the school and once she was free, she saw Inuyasha there.

 

“I told you to stay away from me, if you don't I'll call the cops” he sighed.

 

“Please, listen… I didn't have to do anything with that, it was Naraku he set me up and tried to make me look like the bad guy but…”

 

“Inuyasha, how can you explain that your T-shirt was ripped?”

 

“It was a set up! They left that on purpose so you could think it was me!” she shook her head and looked away. “Please Kagome; you have to believe me… I would never hurt you, if I didn't take that necklace the first time it was because when I saw you I felt very guilty… and that never happened to me…”

 

“What about your ex? Kikyo? You said you met her like me… so why would I think that this isn't the first time you give to someone that speech” he sighed and she turned around to leave, he grabbed her shoulder.

 

“I promise that I would prove you wrong, even if it's the last thing I do” she closed her eyes and sniffed; she cleared her throat and walked away. Inuyasha watched her leave miserable and took his eyes off of her when she entered to the school.

He crashed with her in the hallway; he smiled when he found her with her reading glasses and tons of books. He had always loved to watch her like that, especially when she looked so nerdy. Kouga laughed as he helped her pick her books up, he had seen her so many times, thought about her so many times but he seemed to be so afraid to talk to her because he didn't want her to think he was an idiot. She gave him a short smile as he gave her the books he had picked up for her.

 

“Thanks Kouga… I've been very distracted lately and I'm sorry I crashed with you” Kagome excused herself and he shook his head.

 

“Don't even mention it, it was my fault too” he smiled at her and she sighed.

 

“I have to go, I have somewhere else to go…” he nodded.

 

“Yeah… that guy at the festival” she shook her head.

 

“No, there are some other things I need to do… I have to take care of my brother this afternoon and I have tons of things to do since I skipped school yesterday…” she explained and he sighed.

 

“Alright… I'll see you later?” he asked hoping she would answer him with a smile.

 

“Of course, we are studying at the same school… aren't we?” she faked a few giggles although she did want to laugh but what Inuyasha did to her didn't even let her smile.

 

“Yeah, I'm sorry… I'm a jerk, see you tomorrow Kagome” he kissed her cheek and waved at her as he walked out of the building.

Miroku was at Naraku's place along with Inuyasha, they were talking about why Naraku wanted Miroku to work for him but Inuyasha was too focused thinking about Kagome that the words that they pronounced seemed like background voices that he couldn't even remember. He needed to get her necklace immediately, it was the only coherence idea that he thought it would help him make Kagome forgive him. `That bastard is going to pay for this… if only I had the same power he does, I need to take her necklace back and show her that it wasn't me who broke in her house… I know it was Kagura, Naraku doesn't have anyone handier than his sister and if she didn't do it… I'm screwed' Inuyasha woke up from his thoughts when he felt Miroku's hand on his shoulder. When he looked around, he noticed Naraku was gone.

 

“Are you okay?” Miroku asked worried.

 

“Yeah, just… thinking” he sighed heavily and Miroku grinned.

 

“I know… trouble with girls, what? Who? And why?” Inuyasha looked at Miroku very confused.

 

“What are you talking about?” he groaned.

 

“I know it's a girl… what did she do to you? Who is she? And why are you this way?” Inuyasha sighed again and passed his fingers through his hair.

 

“She did nothing, I'm the idiot whose life will only make her suffer but still I can't stop seeing her because I'm very hooked up with her… and she's Kagome Higurashi” he sighed heavily and Miroku opened his eyes widely before chuckling.

 

“Wow! You sure know how to pick girls! I thought she would be easy like her friend but… no; she's not desperate… although, Sango is pretty nice and I like her a lot… Kagome has everything, she's hot, she's smart, it's like she's perfect” he sighed dreamily and Inuyasha watched him jealous.

 

“Watch out because if things went ugly for me… things would end up dead for you” Miroku chuckled although he didn't know what he was talking about.

 

“Here is what I want you to do, welcome to my team” Naraku said as he handed him a piece of paper. “Inuyasha, please take him outside… Miroku, call me once you are ready to talk about the band of seven”

 

The two of them walked out and Miroku ripped the paper apart, Inuyasha looked at him confused and they entered the elevator.

 

“Why did you rip them?” he shrugged his shoulders.

 

“Do you think I'll end up working for an idiot like him? If I'm at a school studying again and having lots of millions like to wipe my ass with 100 dollars bills it's not because I don't use my brain…” Inuyasha laughed and shook his head.

 

“Believe me, you'll end up working for him… he always gets what he wants” he smirked and hit Inuyasha softly on the shoulder. “What?”

 

“I don't know… you talk like you have known him forever and like if you were one of my friend and you were worried for me” Inuyasha gave him back the smile.

 

“I'm not aware of the meaning of that word… friends, it doesn't exist in my vocabulary” Miroku patted his back.

 

“Well in mine it does and you are under that label Inuyasha, see you any other time…” Miroku walked away and Inuyasha stopped as he placed his hands in his jacket pockets.

 

“Yeah… another time” he sighed heavily and looked at the hour, it was almost 18 and he thought it would be perfect for him to start with his second job earlier tonight, it would give him some time to start his master plan at night.

“Where were you? You told me you'll be here by 19” Sango asked worried to her boyfriend, since her family spend almost all their time traveling she asked her boyfriend to come everyday to be with her.

 

“I found an old friend of mine on my way and we were talking… I barely looked at the time and I'm sorry” she smiled and nodded.

 

“That's okay… so… am I going to meet your parents this weekend or what? You met my father even if it was for 5 seconds but… I don't know anything about you” he sighed heavily and sat on her bed.

 

“You can't meet my family” she arched her brow.

 

“Why not?”

 

“because… I don't want you to meet them, they are nothing like me or you… they fight all the time, they barely stand to be with each other and… I'm embarrassed by them” she sighed and hugged him.

 

“It's okay… I'm your girlfriend, I can understand it… don't you trust me?” he looked at her eyes so sincere and kissed her, she kissed him back but she felt something she didn't like anymore. “Miroku! Don't touch me there!”

 

“I love you… don't you love me?” he asked as he pulled away his hand from her butt.

 

“Yes but… I don't think I'm ready for that” he placed some kisses down her neck and he stopped.

 

“If you love me, you already are…” she nodded. “You're doing it?”

 

“Yes… I'm yours, I love you” she kissed him as she felt his hands pulling her T-shirt out.

 

“I love you too” he said and kept on kissing her.

Inuyasha went back to Naraku's apartment, this time he made sure that he was sleeping and tried to do the less noise possible as he carefully opened his apartment. He walked slowly with his rubber shoes; he used them every time he wanted his footsteps to be quiet. Inuyasha searched every where, at the kitchen, at the living room, at his room while Naraku along with Kikyo were sleeping on his bed. He finally arrived to his office and opened his drawers, at the last drawer he saw the shinning bright necklace of Kagome waiting to be rescued. He smiled and grabbed it; Inuyasha was ready to get out of there when the lights turned on.

 

“I don't think so… put that back on its place” Naraku said as he aimed the same gun he had used that morning at Inuyasha. “C'mon… what are you waiting for? It's not that hard Yashie”

 

“This is Kagome's and I won't let you blame for something I didn't do” he sighed and shook his head.

 

“Inuyasha, you see this?” he pointed at his pistol. “It means do as I say or I kill you… now, be a good boy and leave it”

 

Inuyasha stood there looking at him; he saw the malicious grin that was on his face waiting for him to accomplish his commands. He ran away from the room and Naraku was behind him trying to aim him with his bullets, he wanted so bad to get out of there and see Kagome's face when he gave her back her necklace. The hardest and most painful pain he had ever felt hit his left shoulder, he wanted to stop and yell but he kept running. Once he got to the elevator, the doors closed leaving Naraku out shooting at the doors as he cursed. Inuyasha saw his arm drenched in blood; he ripped part of his T-shirt and walked out of the building as he tried to clear his view. Slowly, through the streets he went to Kagome's house. Every step he took he looked at his arm and saw that there was even more blood coming out than last time. Inuyasha half smiled when he saw her house and that the car wasn't there, meaning her mother wasn't in there. He walked to the back door since he knew that people never closed that door. He saw his blood spreading over her kitchen floor, he didn't mind it. As he walked upstairs he noticed in a mirror that he was going paler. His vision went even more blurry once he entered to her room, his body wasn't able to hold him anymore and fell on her floor. Kagome looked at him horrified and she shrieked.

 

“Inuyasha?! What happened to you?!” Kagome asked worried as she looked at his arm, Inuyasha chuckled weakly.

 

“I look that bad, huh?” he said and Kagome checked his arm. “I came here… to… give you… this” he stretched his arm and opened weakly his hand, she looked at her necklace red with his blood and gasped as she let some tears gather in her eyes. “Don't… you like… it?”

 

“No, it's just that…” she let a few tears fall. “You're like this because you wanted to get my necklace back” he moved his hand slowly over to her and wanted to clean her tears but ended up staining her with his blood. “I thought… it would be… worth it to… see you… happy again”

 

“Inuyasha, if you die… I'm gonna feel very responsible for this and I'll… I'll blame myself forever” he chuckled like before.

 

“I'm not… going… to die… wench” she laughed a little between tears.

 

“I thought you already know my name was Kagome” he nodded slowly, Kagome saw him close his eyes. “I have to take you to a hospital, let's go”

 

She watched him leaning against the wall motionless, she cleaned her tears and checked his pulse, he was alive but he wasn't moving. She ran to her phone and dialed 911; she hugged him and waited for someone to answer.

 

“It's an emergency, my boyfriend was just shot and I think he's going to die” Kagome let a few tears as she tried to wake him up. “Please… don't you leave me Inuyasha”
