[ P - Pre-Teen ]

Here we go. The second chapter. I must say that this is going much better than I thought it would. I only get on the internet three days a week, but I will update as fast as I possibly can. But some nice reviews would move it along faster. I like to know what people think of my work. I hope you all like my story. If you do, please keep on reading it.



Well, once again, please, please, please review!!!! It would really help me out. I just want to know what you think. It wouldn't kill you to review if you read. I'm on my hands and knees here. Now, on with the second chapter.

She shivered. But not from how immensely cool it was outside. Not from fear. No. She could never be afraid of anything, as long as she was with him.

She shivered from the touch of his warm breath on the back of her neck. Whispering to her in the night, the exhale of air was nothing more than a soft caress against her delicate skin.

"I can't belive you talked me into this," she said as she reached her hands back to grab him for support.

"What? You're not scared, are you?" he asked as he pushed her forward slightly, then catching her immediately. She didn't even flinch. "Besides, I didn't talk you into this. You talked me into this.

"Of course I'm not scared!" she retorted. "And if you ever do something like that to me again then you'll be sorry. And you gave in easily enough."
up in the boughs of Goshinboku, they stood there, looking upon the forest below.
she said breathlessly. "You were right. The view is beautiful from up here!"
as beautiful as you are,' he thought as she looked back at him quickly.
Did you ever doubt me?"
right," she said sarcastically. "How could I ever doubt you?"

looked up at the stars above. The stars were so bright, so beautiful. And you could see them so clearly.
never got a view like this while in modern day Tokyo. She sighed. She was really enjoying herself, and somehow, having InuYasha there with her made it that much better.
why did you bring me here?" she asked, careful to keep her tone normal, even as her stomach did little flip flops and her heart began to beat faster.
I just thought that this was something that you would enjoy, that's all. Pathetic humans like you like this kind of stuff so I just thought...." he trailed off. "I wouldn't have even brought you up here if you hadn't begged me like you did, anyway."
stomach went back to normal and her heart began to beat normally again. 'The moment is lost,' she thought with a grimace. 'Why does he always have to ruin it?'
it's so very nice to know that you think about what I like," she replied, a hint of sarcasm ringing in her voice. "So anyway, that's why you agreed to bring me up here?"

pushed her forward a big again. He could feel her hold her breath in a moment. She wasn't really scared of falling, she was just shocked that he had just done that, without any warning, and when she had already told him not to do it again.
thought I told you not to do that!" she said as she backed up a bit.

I just didn't have to stand up with me!"
I just didn't want you to get all scared on me. Why did you want to stand up anyway?"
tilted her head back and took a long breath. She sighed dreamily as she thought about what it felt like to stand up th ere. She turned her gaze upon the moon and the stars.
she began, her voice soft, a song of the night. "When I'm up here, it feels as if I'm...free."
sighed dreamily again. She really couldn't put into words, what she was feeling inside. Maybe she could call it a feeling of complete and utter bliss.
would be the only way that she could describe it.
What do you mean by that?"
giggled at his inability to understand.
not really sure of that myself," she said as she wrapped her arms around herself in an effort to stay warm.
are confusing," he said as he wrapped his arms around her and sat down, pulling her against his chest.
then took off his haori and wrapped it around her before pulling her back against him again.
could feel her stomach instantly tie in knots. Her throat suddenly felt very dry.

sighed as her stomach unleashed a million butterflies, flying around inside of her, leaving her tingling all over.
warmth of his body against hers was so satisgying that she could feel her eyes begin to drift closed. The last thing she saw was the beautiful crescent moon above them.
shifting in her scent told him that she was asleep. He carefully picked her up into his arms and jumped down from the tree, landing easily on his feet. He carried her back to Kaede's hut.
not to wake her, he gently laid her down into her sleeping bag. She turned over on her side, a faint smile touching her lips, telling him that her dreams were indeed sweet.
it wasn't even anywhere near winter or autum, it was still pretty cold outside. He didn't know why it had gotten so cool outside during the last few days.
made sure she was covered up snugly.
turned away and began to sit down against the wall when he was interrupted.
was interesting," Miroku said as he sat up. "I thought that cats were the ones that landed on their feet, not dogs."
monk! Were you watching the whole time?"
And I have to say, if I had moves that smooth, I'd have won Sango over long ago."
Whatever. You probably would have messed it all up by groping her or something like that."
Miroku said. "InuYasha. If I may offer you a bit of advice. Man to man, okay?"
eyed him suspiciously before saying, "Fine. Just as long as it isn't anything perverted."
Kagome is waiting for you. I've noticed it, Sango's noticed it, everybody's noticed it. If you want to win her heart, you have to be smoother than that. Don't mess up the moment by swaying something gruff like you did before. You've got to say the right things at the right moment. Just let them and the words will come to you."
you ought to take some of your own advice monk," InuYasha shot back, silencing Miroku as he thought over what InuYasha had just said.
took a moment to think over the monk's words as he sat down against the wall near Kagome's sleeping form.
voice raing in InuYahsa's head long after Miroku had gone to sleep. 'You've got to say the right things at the right moment. Just let them and the words will come to you."

how could he ever truly be with Kagome when he still had Kikyo on his mind so much?
I gotta get back to normal before Kagome gets any ideas. What's been wrong with me lately?'
were all going to leave again, tomorrow. They were really close to completing the jewel.
it seemed that after the fight with Naraku, the fragment of the jewel Naraku had was shattered a bit, thus resulting in even more jewel shards scattered about the reason.
they had over half of the jewel in their possession and that was the only thing that mattered at the moment.
of the shards would be in their possession soon enough, and the jewel would be complete. But it wouldn't be as easy as they thought.

"Are we there yet?"

hopped down from Kagome's shoulder and replanted himself on Miroku's instead. "So...Where are we going anyway?"
looked at InuYasha and Kagome, who obviously weren't going to say anything. "We're going to look for the remaining jewel shards again."
we go through all of this again?"
caught up to Miroku and began to walk next to him. "We must find all of the shards Shippo. We must complete the jewel."
know that. I was talking about, do we have to go through listening to all of their arguements again?"
three looked at InuYasha and Kagome and hung their head low in defeat. "I guess so," Miroku answered. "But I know a way to cheer me up!"
that?" Sango began to ask. "Ah! Pervert!"
he knew it, Sango slapped Miroku with a death blow.
Sango, I'm sorry. I was just making sure that your body was still in tip top shape."
lecher. Keep your hands off of me."
It's the curse of the hand. It's possessed."
relocated to the top of Sango's head. She grunted from the addd weight. In the two years since she'd met him, Shippo had gotten a bit bigger, though still small, and he weighed more.

nodded her head in agreement, almost unseating the kitsune with the little bit of movement. He caught onto her hair and held tight.

News had traveled fast. To most, the news was bad, but to him, they were working with his plan perfectly. Things were going smoothly.
had began to travel the lands, soon coming upon this place, formerly belong to the Katimi clan.
the last Lord of these lands was an only child without any relatives, but one long lost child.
recently passed away, with a bit of help from him, and the lands were free for the taking.

heard that he had a son, but the mother of the child left him for another man. What became of the two after that, nobody knows."

two village men continued to talk as he continued to listen. Things couldn't be going better. This would work to his advantage.
old village priestess had done him well, making him a concealment charm.
here could tell that he was a demon. 'Faruka. It's a shame you had to die.' He had threatened the old woman with her life.
gave in easily enough, cornered alone in the forest. She turned the mere beads he now wore around his neck into a concealment charm.
course, after he got what he wanted out of her, he killed her anyway. 'She was really old. Her time was drawing to an end anyway. I merely quickened the due date.'
finally interrupted the village men. "Excuse me. Will you so kindly direct me in the direction of the castle?"
It's right that way. Why?"
didn't answer the question, didn't spare them a second glance as he took off in the direction he was told, his long black ponytail waving behind him in the breeze.
caught up with him. She knew her part. She knew what she must do. And for her master, she would do it.
fool them all, her master would need proof of his lineage, and proof she would get.
                                   
He sipped his tea as he watched the servants move about the room. It seemed that everybody here was willing to please him.
was amazing, the kind of treatment poor humans gave other humans who had wealth.
had been easy enough to convince everybody that he was the late lord's long lost son. Kasuya had served him well yet again, in getting the proof he needed.
Kurosuke," Kasuya said as she entered the room. "They are coming."
nodded, then dismissed her as he returned to his tea. "Yes. They are coming."
