Dimensions and Revenge: Chapter 3 Awaking the Challenge within

Kagome ran as fast as she could, trying to get were Sango, Kohaku, and …Miroku were. She could hear Inuyasha running to catch up to her. `What happened back there! How could I let that happen? He kissed me! An I… I couldn't help, but give it back to him in full throttle! WHAT AM I THINKING?! Kagome, you need to pull yourself together. There must be a plan for this. Yes, this has to be it! I have to find Sango!' She could almost feel Inuyasha grab her arm then she yelled out.

"SIT BOY!!"

Back where the rest of the gang was, everyone heard what Kagome said and they had that `That was a big sit Inuyasha' look on their faces.

"I wonder what he did this time," stated Shippo with a small laugh at the end?

"We'll find out soon," replied Sango.

Right after Sango said that did she see Kagome running for her life with only her uniform shirt on. Kagome ran straight to Sango and was out of breath.

"Sango…please take… me away! I need to…talk to someone. You are my best…friend, please help he," she said between sobs and gasps for breath.

"Okay, Kagome we can."

Kagome interrupted Sango. She could her Inuyasha only 20 yards away. The spell ran off and Kagome knew he was angry with him.

"Please, before Inuyasha gets here," she pleaded to her friend who was looking more and more concern.

"Kilala," shouted Sango hugging her friend tightly while helping her onto Kilala.

Then she turned to the boys of the group. Sango was getting very angry with Inuyasha. First he makes her leave and when she comes back to see him he treats her like dirt. The guys backed up five steps not wanting to get in the way of her wrath.

"Don't let that piece o f crap past this point is that understood," directing Sango.

The men automatically nod their heads in agreement. For they knew of Sango's wrath from her brother. He warned them if she is angry and has the boomerang in her hand better back up more than 3 steps from her. Then she turned to Kilala and got on.

"As fast as you can, Kilala. Leave no trail that that Baka Inu can't follow," retorted Sango with a hint of anger in her voice.

"Miroku?"

Miroku ran over to Kagome with a worried look on his face. He smiled as best as he could.

"Please watch over shippo and I'll give you my answer when I return, but wait for us at Lady Kaidai's hut."

Miroku nodded to show he understood her directions and stepped back. They started off into the sky. She saw Kohaku helping Miroku calm Shippo down, for shippo was sleeping during the whole ordeal. Then they were out of view of the others. Kagome curled up into a ball and started to cry. Sango whispered something in Kilala's ear. After that she came over to sit next to Kagome. Kagome put her head into Sango's lap and let it all out. Her tears fell from her face down towards the ground.

One of Kagome's tears hit someone. Who looked confused as they stared up at the sky.

"Why is water coming from the sky when it is not dark enough? Wait a minute! These aren't rain drops there tears," said the person.

He shot a look in the sky and saw nothing, but he started to smell the air blowing past him. His eyes widen when he recognized the smell.

"What has that damn bastard done to you," roared the person with anger beyond his normal height and he dashed off towards the forest.

Meanwhile, in the tree across from the previous scene, a voice came to speak again.

"Oh, so the lady mate has some other admires, as well. Hmm…this should make the plan more interesting and enjoying that it should."

Inuyasha finally caught up with the monk, shippo and Kohaku. He leaped right in front of the group. The monk stopped and tried to contain his anger against Inuyasha. Inuyasha looked around frantically for Kagome, but she was no where to be found. `She better not tell!'

"Where is she? Where is Kagome you fucked up monk," demanded Inuyasha.

The monk lost his control on his anger. He walked up to Inuyasha and punched him in the stomach.

"MIROKU," gasped Shippo and Kohaku at the same time, for Miroku never acted like this before.

"I'm not going to tell you a goddamn forsaken thing, you damn inu. Just understand this once Kagome comes back, I'm going to ask her what happened! She told me to tell you to keep the fuck away from her. You treat her like she is nothing. I'll show her love, passion, give her respect and the truth of spirit. Which a piece of shit like you never could do," snapped Miroku.

Inuyasha grabbed the monk by his robes and brought him up to a tree and slammed him hard against it. He brought the monk up to meet his gaze and started to growl as he showed his fangs as well as the fire of anger in his eyes.

"You lay just one damn lechous finger on her I'll kill you! Another thing, you'll never find love, passion and what ever the truth of passion is, and you are not a person who can show those damn emotions."

"You're not one to talk either, Inuyasha!"

"Now I'll beat the shit out of you!"

Inuyasha was filled with rage. He raised his free hand made a fist and started to swing towards the monks' face. Before he could strike the monk's face, someone stopped him. Inuyasha turned to see who was holding him back. It was Kohaku and Shippo.

"Get the hell off of me! This is between elders and it isn't your fight so back off," growled Inuyasha revealing his fangs to them, which scared them but they didn't stop trying to pull him off of the monk.

"Inuyasha, lets talk to Kagome when she comes back. She said, " ` I'll give you my answer when I come back.' Whatever that means. So let us wait and see what happens then," suggested Kohaku.

Inuyasha turned toward the monk and let go of his throat and started to walk away from the group. `Why am I acting like this? Why did I kiss Kagome and touch her so? Damn Inuyasha, look what you did tis time. Although, it did taste pretty damn good!' After the thought he blushed and shook his head to get rid of it.

Kagome finally pulled herself together, while Sango landed Kilala on the ground. Kagome looked around she was in awe. She never saw this part of the forest. There was Hot Springs, willow trees, varieties of flowers form red to white roses, to pink Daises, tall trees, and soft green lushes grass. She couldn't get over how beautiful it was.

"This is a secret place that only the exterminators know about."

"This is a grand secret."

"What happened that upset you so," asked Sango.

"I have to tell you first that again this place is beautiful. Anyway I start from the beginning. Why I came back…"started Kagome.

Kagome told her when she heard Inuyasha to what happened with Miroku. She had to wait `til the shocked look was out of her friends' eye to tell the rest. Finally, Kagome told her what happened between her and Inuyasha. Sango was shocked even more than when Kagome told Inuyasha she would be Miroku's wife. After she got over the shock she started to laugh.

"Sango, why are you laughing? Is it funny that I feel violated, by a dog demon who does treat me with any respect," yelled Kagome angrily.

"Listen Kagome! Ha…Don't get…hahaha…upset, just…you don't get it…haha…"

"Don't get what," asked Kagome who was getting confused with her friends reply?

Sango let out a breath to recapture her composure.

"Listen to me for a minute. Now you told Miroku that you'll have his child?"

"No, I told him maybe."

"Okay, so you told him maybe, how did Inuyasha act?"

"Once I left the shack fell to the ground. I just wanted to get him back for what he did to me!"

"I understand that, but I think Inuyasha is jealous. What's that say you sometimes say? Oh…you love what you cannot have."

"No way, Inuyasha doesn't love me! He hates me! All he wants is the fucken Jewel! He is a damn inu, kuh!"

"Oh my goodness Kagome!"

"What? What happened?"

"Kagome you're starting to sound like Inuyasha!"

"Noo!"

"Kagome… I ask you a…um…question?…Well…um…never mind. Just forget it."

"No, tell me. It can't be as bad or funnier than mine."

"Are you…um…going to have…huh…Miroku's baby?"

"No, I was just kid…"

Sango looked at Kagome with the `I have no idea what your thinking but it is not what you think innocent' look.

"Wait a minute! You, you like Miroku?"

`She can catch on this fast. Why can't she catch on fast on the stuff that is happening to her' thought Sango to herself.

Now, Kagome fell off the tree trunk and started to laugh historically. Sango started to blush and was so embarrassed with herself.

"That is worse and funnier that mine."

"Kagome, be quiet please! Even though it is hidden place form the person's eye, people can still hear you!"

"Okay, I'm Sorry. I'll talk to Miroku and tell him I had a change of heart, Okay. We better start heading towards Kiadai's village before it gets to dark."

Kagome agreed with Sango and at that point Kilala came back from her walk around the area and she transformed into her demon form. They went off into the sky into the directions of Kaidai's village. Kagome looked down to watch the beautiful scenery of medieval Japan. The lushes green grass that spread for miles on end, the tall shady trees of the forest, the gorgeous mountains with the clouds touching them, and the meadows of precious flowers. It was hard to believe that there were demons in this place that looked so quiet and serene. Then Kagome saw something that caught her eye and brought a fink of horror to her mind.

"Sango, please tell me, that you don't see that familiar tornado heading towards Lady Kaidai's village do you?!"

"Sorry Kagome, what you are seeing is real. We both know who is coming this way."

"Koga," they stated together.

"Kilala, go as quick as you can to reach Kaidai's village before Koga and his pack does," Sango directed to her faithful partner.

Kagome went into a prayer position clapped her hands together and lowered her head `Kikyo, please help me. We forgave each other, I'm know asking for one of the three favors you will grant me.'

***Flashback***

"How dare you touch him! You are nay my equal or my reincarnation. He shall return with me to Hell were he belongs."

"Kikyo, try and understand. I don't want to hurt you."

Kikyo started to laugh which made Kagome shiver. Kikyo started to chant a spell that use to help people with their sight, but since she is evil it did the opposite of help them, it blinded them.

Inuyasha was unconscious tied to a tree by vines. He started to awaken when he saw Kagome fall to the floor. He saw that she wasn't moving. `I'm going to rip the culprit to pieces! Who is the victim now' Inuyasha thought to himself. As he tried to stand up an electric shock went straight to his spine, which made him howl in pain. Kikyo looked in his directions and smile as she walked over to him.

"Now that stupid little girl can't interfere with the love that we have. You'll have the pleasure of watching her die and then I'll blast her into eternity."

"How dare you speak of Kagome like that! You aren't the women I fell in love with. You are an evil interpretation of her. Kagome is the likeness of the women I once loved and you are going to kill her in petty jealously. What a stupid reason to kill someone, Kikyo!"

Kagome was still conscious and heard all Inuyasha had to say, which gave her strength to stand up and fight. She knew he was stalling Kikyo while she was trying to recover her strength from Kikyo's spell. When Kagome opened her eyes she couldn't see anything. `Kikyo must've used the blinding spell to blind me of course! Well I can fight even when I am blind.'

"Kikyo, lets finish this once and for all. If I win you go to where ever you came from."

"What if I win?"

"Then you will kill me and take Inuyasha to hell with you."

"Kagome, what the fuck are you doing? You don't have a god damn right to decide where I go or don't!"

"Sit boy and do be quiet."

Inuyasha fell down hard with another electric shock down his spine. He struggled to stay awake, he could feel his energy draining from him. `Kagome, you stupid girl…how dare…you…fight without…me!'

"This is going to be an easy win since you are blind. How can people say that you are my reincarnation? When you can't compared to my skill or power," stated Kikyo with a winning grin.

Kagome just stood there in anger, but remembered her training with her grandfather.

"You never just need one sense you need them all."

Kagome was thankful that she listen to her grandfather that one time. She calmed herself down and concentrated on her opponent.

"I shall attack the person who pained you most," retorted Kikyo.

When Kikyo turned to face Inuyasha, Kagome heard the moment of the grass. When Kikyo shot the arrow, Kagome jumped infront of Inuyasha. She flew back to the tree behind her.

"Since you decided to take the arrow you are bound to that tree for the rest of your life."

Kagome felt a warm feeling in her chest. Something that is full of sympathy and pain as well as anger. This was the power that would make her win. She looked at Kikyo, still blinded, with her lifeless eyes and brought her hand to the arrow that Kikyo shot. When her hand reached it she focused her power into breaking the arrow in two and the arrow disappeared.

"I shall no longer be cursed by your presence you are suppose to be in your grave. You were a loving women who never experienced pain or hate, because you were a priestess. When that evil demon resurrected you could only think of revenge. You were the one that everyone looked up to alive or when you were dead. You were the image for their children and their children. Your caring legacy shall live on."

Kagome started to float toward Kikyo with a plain face on. Kikyo started to back up. She was shooting arrow after arrow, but they just reflected off of Kagome. Inuyasha still lying motionless could see a blinding pink light surrounding Kagome and Kikyo.

"What is going on? I…I feel this pain inside me! I don't know what it is? Wait… I know what it …I mean who it is! It's not Kikyo. It's not Kagome. It's both of them," figured Inuyasha.

"It is time to return where you came from. If I ever see you again I hope it is for the good and not the worst because I know you weren't a bad person. Kiadai told me so much about you, Kikyo, and the good that you have done."

After Kagome said that she let it all out with everything she had. The powers of her life and of her miko powers were poured into the banishing spell that had just came to her.

"Thank you Kikyo, for the worst and great times. You taught me what it is like to hate someone as well as love them. Goodbye."

Kikyo started to dissolve into nothing but ash when she saw the kindness and sincerity in Kagome's eyes.

"You shall call upon me only three times for guidance or advice. Tell Inuyasha I will still hate him but know that I will always love him."

Then she finally disappeared from sight and Kagome fell to the ground using so much of ther energy. Inuyasha was crawling in pain over to Kagome.

"I had to Inuyasha I'm sorry," said Kagome then fell asleep from using to much of her energy.

"I know Kagome. I know," replied Inuyasha sitting up and moving Kagome into his lap with only his right arm. For is left arm had been injured badly.

***End of flashback***

Kagome is still kneeling in the prayer position.

"I'm in need of your guidance Kikyo. Grant me one favor.

`We are one,

One is united.

Bring forth the past to me into the present,

Share the power we both do have,

United knowledge and wisdom into the present sly and clever.

Come to me Kikyo and help guide your future self so your story may live on.'

Sango turned to her friend and saw a pink glowing light around her. She tried to talk, but she couldn't. Then the light was going away and Kagome stood up on Kilala. She raised her hands into the middle of her chest and the outline of the jewel glowed then appeared between both of her index fingers into a triangle and started to chant.

"As between the earth and the sky,

Bring the wind to my side,

Never sever the strength you hold,

I'm the priestess of past and present,

Come to me and aid me now."

Then she jumped off of Kilala. Kilala was about to turn around, but Sango stopped her.

"Kilala, didn't you hear what Kagome said `I'm the priestess of past and present.' Kikyo is with Kagome. Let's use that new attack now use Your Fire power Kilala," said Sango with a hint of nerves shooting though her.

Sango looked at Kagome who was still free falling and was close to the ground.

"Wind of the East come to me now."

Demanded the voices of Kikyo and Kagome. After she called for the wind a bright pink light formed around her and the wind started to carry her.

"West wind go to the demon in the sky, and give her your speed."

Directed both Priestesses'. Suddenly, Sango felt the wind pickup and she heard the wind whisper to her.

"The priestess' ask us to assist you to your destination. So hold on to your demon companion for we are fast than are brother and sister winds."

Sango grabbed some of Kilala's main, turned to Kagome and mouthed thanks to her friend. As soon as Sango turned around they were gone. Kagome turned toward the on coming tornado.

"Winds of fast and winds that twirl,

Come forth and stop that twister below."

Once Kagome/Kikyo were finished Koga's tornado split. Then she started to descend to the ground towards Koga.

Koga was amazed, but confused on why his tornado stopped. He tried again and again, but it only looked like a dog chasing its tail.

"I need to find that dogturd, I'll kil…"

Something caught Koga's nose. A familiar scent.

He sniffed the air more heavily. Then he recognized the scent and it grew stronger and stronger.

"Kagome!"

He looked around frantically looking to all the sides and behind him. He could not find her. Then he thought of something for a moment.

"No way."

Koga lifted his eyes to the sky. His eyes widened in amazement as he saw Kagome floating from the sky down towards him. Kagome was floating about three feet above the ground in front of him.

"Wha-what? How are you? Why are you…"stuttered Koga.

"You don't need to worry, but I was the one who stopped your tornado. Please do not go any farther. I don't want you two to fight. If you persist on fighting than you will run like a human even in your demon form."

Informed Kagome/Kikyo. Koga was getting confused, but started to ask questions.

"Why were you crying? Did the Dogturd do anything to hurt you? I'll Kil…" started Koga with a determine face.

"Goodbye Koga! If you come anywhere near the village is shall be me you face."

Threatened Kagome/Kikyo before flying form the sight of Koga. Koga looked at her with such a tasteful and longing look.

"She has more fire than before. I shall take her threat and take her as my bride," challenged Koga with a smile on his face and headed for the village.
