Chapter4: Truth or Dare?
Kagome looked around, anxiously waiting someone to say yes or no. The others just looked around puzzled.
“What’s truth or dare?” Inuyasha asked with a very quizzical look on his face.
“Oh, you guys never played it?” Kagome replied, starting to lose her merriment. “Well, I guess I could teach you.”
Kagome- *Man, I have to teach them. Well, I’m not giving up. I want to tease Inuyasha more.*
She started to explain the game, “Well first let’s all seat ourselves in a circle.” Everyone sighed, and grudgingly formed a circle.
“I’m sitting by Kagome dog-breath!” yelled Kouga while pushing Inuyasha away and seating himself.
Inuyasha started to growl and grit his teeth at Kouga.
“Inuyasha, stop it.” scolded Kagome. “You can sit on my other side.”
BAM!
Inuyasha went slamming to the floor behind Kagome. “Oh, Sorry Inuyasha. I mean, you can be seated at my other side.” she apologized.
Everyone let out a small chuckle at the accidental “sit”. All except Inuyasha and Kikyo.
Inuyasha growled and bared his teeth, causing everyone to shut up. He slowly crawled to the free side of Kagome and whispered, “Bitch.”
Kagome faced Inuyasha with a sweet smile, which made the hanyou very uneasy. She opened her mouth and Inuyasha flinched. She closed it again, and he relaxed a little. Then, quickly and sweetly she said, “sit..”
BAM!
Again Inuyasha flew to the floor, and again everyone started to laugh. Although Kikyo only humphed.
Inuyasha sat up again, and just completely avoided eye contact with Kagome. He started murmuring something under his breath.
Kagome put back on the sweet smile and sweet voice and said, “What was that Inuyasha?”
“Nothing!” he yelled, and braced himself for another “sit”.
“Ok, then back to the matter at hand.”
Everyone was finally seated in the circle. The circle started with Kagome and then went Inuyasha, Kikyo, Sesshomaru, Sango, Miroku, and finally Kouga.
“Now that we’re finally seated, I can get back to explaining the game.” Kagome continued. “I’ll start first, just to get things moving.”
“Why can’t I go first?” Inuyasha asked.
“Because, you don’t know how to play yet.” Kagome replied, adding some bitterness to the statement. “You’ll get your turn just like everyone else.”
Inuyasha just gave a quick growl, then lowered his head.
“You should go first, and make the mutt go last.”, added Kouga.
Inuyasha placed a hand on Tetsusaiga and bared his teeth and growled. Kouga returned the growl.
“Stop it!”, Kagome said in a finalizing tone, and a purse of her lips.
Both quieted instantly.
“Back to the game.” Kagome was starting to get irritated. “When it’s a person’s turn, they will ask a person of their choice, truth or dare. The person that was asked must pick one. If they pick truth, the first person will ask them a personal question. The person must answer the question truthfully. If you don’t want to answer the question, you can use a pass. Each person has three passes.”
Inuyasha-*Oh no, what if Kagome asks me if I love Kikyo? Or worse what if someone asks me if I love Kagome? I can’t tell anyone the truth.*
Sango-*Aaaahh. Please don’t let anyone ask me about Miroku.*
Kagome-*”sigh” I hope someone asks Inuyasha about me. I can’t ask him, because he’ll get mad at me. I just hope he can forget about Kikyo and love me, instead. Even though Kikyo is here. Why did I invite her anyway? Wait, that’s right, I need to know if he can chose me with her knowing it. “sigh”*
Kouga-*I hope dog-breath fucks up and gets Kagome mad at him. Hahahaha*
Kagome snapped out of her thoughts and continued. “or they could chose dare. Which means, the first person thinks of something the other person has to do. If they don’t want to do it, they can use a pass. Remember, you only get three passes, and once your out you have to do the dare, or answer the question.”
The whole group seemed to gasp slightly of only having three passes.
“So what is the point of this game?” Sesshomaru asked cautiously.
“Well, you’ll get the idea as we go along.” Kagome replied with a mischievous grin that made everyone, even Sesshomaru nervous.
Sesshomaru-*Hmm, this might prove to be interesting.*
Inuyasha-*Gods, this is gonna be hell. Just what is that wench planning.*
Miroku-*Hmm, this is gonna be fun. I have to play it cool. And I need to start thinking of some really good ideas. Hehe.*
Sango-*No. I just know something bad is gonna happen. Especially with that lecherous monk here.*
Kagome-*Ok, calm down. This is gonna be my chance to have some “fun” with Inuyasha. Boy, I’m starting to feel like Miroku.*
“Well, I’ll have no part in such a degrading game.” said Kikyo rudely, as she got up and went to sit at the snack bar.
“So, would anyone else like to leave?” said Kagome with a bit of bitterness.
Everyone just sat quietly and anxiously.
“Good, then we’ll begin.”
Everyone turned their gaze to Kagome anxiously. Everyone was afraid of being picked first.
