InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Do You Love Me? ❯ Fangirls, Memories, and Blood Oh My! ( Chapter 12 )
AN: I got lots of reviews! ^^
But some were good and some weren't as good. . .
1.) Why are they trying to kill Miroku and Sesshoumaru?
I never said they were. All I said was. . . Oh yeah. Well, don't worry. Sango (past) gets to hear the explanation and that means you will too^^
2.) will u explain in a comming chapter how Sango, Miroku, and Rin r still alive?
All will be explained in this chapter. I already mentioned something about Rin, though, but it was vague. I actually didn't expect anyone to catch that. . . and as far as I know, no one did.
3.) I like the plot but you need to put some angst in here and less woman problems
During the chapters that sucked, meaning close to all of them ^^', I have an excuse! I had a HUGE paper + project due so. . . that didn't leave me a lot of time for writing. I tried to make it angsty but. . . it didn't work.
(I'm going to re-write them. . . sooner or later. . .)
Now I'll try real hard since that time (for the stupid homework!) has come and gone!
^^ That's all for reviewer questions! (somehow, I didn't even think of doing this until now. . .) (and I plan to do this in the future. . . might not be every chapter. . . I see you're smiling. . .)
I want to explain something. See, in MY opinion, people who like to read angsty pieces are the ones who like to feel life. To completely experience it all. Well. . . since it's almost impossible to die and come back, they have to find `experience' in other places. Like stories. If you want to really experince life, then you'll wanna laugh along the way right?
Yeah.
OH! And I forgot. One of you, the reviewers (which I am happy for^^) said something about the `winged people'. Let me clear this up, seeing as I understand the confusion (@.@).
Sumi is the only one with wings. Hebi and Maverick don't. I never described them that way, so they don't. But they are sorta `guardian angels'. . . sorta. . .
Sorry for the confusion ^^'
And if you want to see what kind of wings are on Sumi, I have a link. But. . . it's a Sango and Miroku fanart and Miroku's the one with wings. I, personally, think that the person who drew it has LOTS of talent. I liked it so much that I e-mailed her and asked if I could write a fanfic for some of her pictures. ^^ I haven't got an e-mail back yet though. . . ^^'
But if you want, here's the link:
http:// www.grey-space. net /kns/ gallery/wings_large. Jpg
(delete all the spaces. . .)
If you want, here's the website's name, and it'll pop up and then you can view all her pictures^^ (note: some of them suggest inane things that prude people would die of a heart attack if they saw it.)
It's Kumo no Su
And what is it with people against me today? If you don't like my stories, DON'T READ THEM. I can't stress that enough. Now if it confuses you, that's a different thing. See, take Black Dragon for instance (I hope you don't mind me using you as an example) SHE complains and puts me on her `to torture extensively' list. (I'm not irritated by comments that Black Dragon has made, just using her as an example, since her review was just sent too me just now^^)
Do I mind?
NO! But to say `FUCK THIS!' about my story, is just. . . well. . . awful.
It hurts a lot and it's really mean. That is NOT critism, nor constructive.
And I just HAVE to thank Elantis Seasali for giving this fic another chance! (Not that I don't mind my good little faithful reviewers. . . I'll give y'all your rightful thanks at the end of the fic. . ., since this author's note is REALLY long. . .)
So. . .
Where did I leave off. . . ?
Oh yeah!
Anyway. . .
Enjoy~ Or cry. . .
Whatever. . .

Do You Love Me?
Chapter Twelve
Fangirls, Memories, and Blood Oh My!
bs (bullshit^^)
"Miroku." Sango hissed, glancing out into the horizon.
"Yeah?" Miroku asked as he strode over to where she stood, gazing at the land around them.
"Get out the weapons. I think something's coming." She answered quietly. "I'll take Rei and take her into the safe hold." And quickly went into the house.
^.~
"Kagome?" Inuyasha asked calmly as he was being assaulted physically by the two fangirls.
"Yeah?" she asked, amused at the situation, which was evident because of the smile on her face. But inside, she couldn't help but feel little pangs of jealously in her head.
"When I sa - HEY! Keep your hands off there!" Kagome giggled and blushed, amazed that Inuyasha was taking it SO well.
"Uh huh?"
"When I say ru - WHAT DID I JUST SAY?" Inuyasha roared as he was being sexually assaulted by the two girls. "Screw what I was gonna say! RUN!" and he tore off, running like a madman, which to Kagome, he was.
"HEY! WAIT FOR ME!" she screeched when she realized that he wasn't going to come back for her.
In a red and white blur, something grabbed her quickly, but gently, and ran like the wind.
"INUYASHA?" Kagome yelled, the wind blowing her hair furiously.
"YEAH?"
"What are you doing?" Kagome asked as he stopped suddenly and placed her on her feet, hands on his knees and panting for breath.
After a few minutes, he stopped panting and straightened himself, while patting dust off of his suit. "Running away from those freaks, whadda think?" he snorted.
Kagome sighed. "How are we going to get to Sango's and Miroku's now?"
Inuyasha cocked an eyebrow at her. "The old fashioned way of course!"
Kagome's jaw dropped. "B-but it's more than an hour's drive! How long will it take to walk?"
Inuyasha snorted. "Stupid human." And he crouched over, offering Kagome his back.
"Oh. . . THAT old fashioned way. . ." Kagome said softly as she lumbered onto his back, already familiar with the pattern.
But what she forgot was how fast he could run.
Inuyasha shot forward, nearly jolting Kagome off. She clutched her arms around his shoulders tightly and Inuyasha grinned at this.
It was just like old times.
Seeing the woods nearing him, Inuyasha leaped, receiving a shocked `eep!' from Kagome.
As he landed in the bushy area, he let go of Kagome.
She still clung, which showed how tightly she was clasping him. "I didn't know you liked me THAT much, Kagome." He chuckled. Embarassed, Kagome quickly let go, and fell to the ground on her behind.
"Ow. . ." she winced and took the out reached arm of Inuyasha, who was smiling at her. Not in his usual smirk, the one that said `Weak human'. It was different, but it was nice.
She wished his smile would always be like that.
"Okay?" he asked, and when she nodded he led her to a cliff.
Heading towards the cliff, Kagome was relaxed and enjoying the view. It was such a breath taking sight. You could see every aspect of the woods below.
It was then he turned and faced her. Kagome, who was startled by the sudden stop, collided with Inuyasha's chest. "Ow. . ." Kagome winced as she backed up and rubbed her forehead. "Is your chest made of steel? Ow. . ."
Inuyasha looked concerned and pulled her hand away, and pulled her closer to examine the bruise. "Hm. . ." he `hm'ed after a few minutes of observation. "That looks like it didn't do much damage." Chuckling, he couldn't help adding, "But you were always brain dead so . . ."
"Inuyasha!" Kagome flushed cherry red, not just because of the comment he had made. The reason she was flaming up was because Inuyasha had not let go of her hand since he pulled it away from her face. He was still extremely close to her and she could practically feel vibrations from his chest from his laughing. He was that close.
"Alright, but really, are you ok?"Inuyasha asked, concerned.
Kagome nodded. "What's with this you?"
Inuyasha grinned at her with a certain dogged look. "What is what?" Kagome did something she didn't ever think she would do.
She pouted. "Inuyasha, what is it?" she pleaded, begging like a child wanting a lollipop. Inside, she was in shock. She was actually flirting with Inuyasha!
But what was even more shocking as to the fact that Inuyasha was flirting right back. . .
What was going on?
Kagome slowly walked over to a tree stump and sat down, since Inuyasha didn't look like he was going anywhere soon. How did she know? He had leaped up into a tree and the only way she could tell he was even up there was by the black suit that stood out beside the greenery.
Sighing, she relaxed and observed her view. Where else could she go? She didn't know where she was, let alone what direction to go in. . .
"Inuyasha?" Kagome asked, suddenly realizing a problem. Inuyasha jumped down in front of her, gracefully as a cat.
Except for the leaves in his hair. . .
"Yeah Kagome?" he asked. Kagome wondered when his voice had become so deep. She had never realized it before. What else had changed about him?
"Do you have a cell phone?"
"Um. . ." was his reply as he patted himself down, looking for the electronic. "Yeah!" and produced a cell from his left pant pocket.
"Thanks. I need to call my mom!" and she dialed the number, and held the phone up to her ear, listening to the rings. She noticed that Inuyasha was staring at her intently during this whole process. She ignored it.
"Moshi moshi?" (Japanese use this as a greeting for the phone. My friend's answers like this too^^) a feminie voice asked through the phone.
"Mama! It's me!" Kagome practically shrieked, much to the annoyance of Inuyasha.
"Kagome! Where have you been? Something horrible has happened! You have to come home right now!" her mother practically yelled into the phone.
^.~
Back in a white room, Sesshoumaru sat in his chair, glaring coldly at the doctor. Every few seconds, he would glance at his watch.
"Um. . . M-mr. Taiyoukai." The doctor began nervously. Sesshoumaru studied his for a minute. He seemed fairly young. Too bad he was going to die if he said the wrong things.
"W-we have been evaluating y-your wife's condition and it's n-not good."
Sesshoumaru's eyes flickered with impatience, wondering why the hell he couldn't give the information in Rin's room. He didn't want to be away for too long. What if she woke up?
"W-we've discovered something phenominal about her blood. It's strange." The doctor, whose voice no longer showed fear, now showed excitement.
"What?" Sesshoumaru growled, hearing the word blood.
"It's well. . . It's hard to explain, but she has an unheard of blood type. It's fascinating! Her blood is very strong, but strangely, her immune system is weak. It's the weakest one I have ever observed."
"Which is probably not many." Sesshoumaru snarled.
"A-ah. . . Yes. But did you know that your wife's condition is very unstable? Her immune system is weaker than that of a person with cancer!"
Sesshoumaru gave a deep growl, angered that the doctor's voice could produce such enthusiam when his wife was gravely, gravely ill.
"O-oh. Um. . . See, the reason I needed to explain that to you was because of her miscarriage."
Sesshoumaru leaned forward in his chair. This made the young doctor even more nervous.
"W-well I'm really surprised that she had managed to carry a baby for such a long time! In her condition, I'm sorry Mr. Taiyoukai, but it is practically impossible to have children."
^.~
Sango eyed the monsterously big demon and raised her Hiraikotsu. Miroku grabbed a sutra (spell paper thing) and began chanting.
As she raised the oversized boomerang and swung, Miroku tossed the paper towards the demon.
As the spiritual and physical attack hit the ugly spider, it gave a cry of pain and toppled over, barely missing Sango.
As she turned around to face Miroku, his face suddenly paled. Sango cocked her head and gave him a look of confusion before turning around to see a hairy black leg, spiked with poison, heading for her. . .
^.~
"Sango?" Sumi asked her old friend, who was currently staring at the wall of the dank cave. Sumi wrinkled her nose, annoyed that Sango was avoiding her gaze and at the fact that the cave stank. Really bad.
"I want you to let me explain everything before you go and think you know everything." Sango only replied by shifting into a more comfortable position, still gazing at the wall.
"Go on." She replied after moments of awkward silence. Sango felt betrayed. Why wouldn't she? After all, Sumi had been her best friend growing up.
Sumi cleared her throat several times, nervously. "Well, you see, I'm sorta. . . human."
"I know that."
Sumi gaped. "W-what? How?"
"Hebi."
"Oh." She stated softly, obviously unaware that Sango knew more than she used to. "Well, I'm part of this elite group and we sorta. . . take care of magical messes. Yeah, to put it simply." Sumi nodded, reassuring herself.
Sango scoffed. "So what do you exactly do? Chop off people's heads after you befriend them?"
Sumi's cheery face suddenly dropped. She bit her lip nervously and looked around. "That's not how it is."
Sango spun around quickly, much to the surprise of Sumi. "What do you mean that's not how it is? That's exactly how it is!" Sango shouted, livid with hurt and anger.
Sumi replied by removing the hurt look on her face with one of scorn. "What do you mean? You don't know anything. You're just a child."
Sango fumed. "I've suffered more torment that you! If anything, YOU are the child!"
This pissed Sumi off. Words that accused her like that, like Sango had just done, like Inuyasha had done before, stabbed at her heart. Her scornful look was replaced with another one. One of longing. One of hurt. One of so much pain and terror.
It was full of anger. Full of pain. Full of. . . guilt.
"That's not how it is." Sumi replied, her voice lacking her usual enthusiaism.
Sango, not getting the message, continued on her rampage. "Sure, you got your heart broken! By that Maverick! So WHAT? I lost my FAMILY. I had to see my brother endless times, torturing himself with the guilt that he killed his family! And his blood is on my hands!" Sango gasped, realizing what she had just said.
Sumi, on the other hand, was shaking with anger. She quickly placed herself in front of Sango, her eyes flaming blue. "S-sumi." Was all Sango choked out as Sumi grasped her shoulders and Sango fought fiercely, until her body slackened and her eyes, too, emitted a blue glow.
Sumi gently laid Sango on some cloths she produced. Sango's face was unnaturally pale and her hair spread about messily. "There. Let's see how you feel when you wake up." She spoke soothingly to her, stroking Sango's hair. "Let's see how you'll react knowing everything that I went through." Her voice went hard, and she quickly got up, and walked away.
^.~
Looking around carefully, Inuyasha sniffed the air. Sensing nothing, he yanked on Kagome's arm and they both carefully tiptoes towards the car.
"Is this really necessary?" Kagome whispered, a bit amused at the hunched back growling Inuyasha.
"Yeah. Now shut up. Fangirls are scary." He grunted as he unlocked the door and quickly jumped in. Kagome got in without any hesitation, and Inuyasha then drove.
Kagome quickly forced herself to think of happy things during this ride. She was sure that if she looked outside, she would see nothing but blurs. Colorful, colorful blurs.
`Oh, what a lovely day. Look at those clouds. Look at that nice tree.' Look at that. . . Kagome's happy thoughts were interrupted by loud swearing from Inuyasha, and from the fact that he had slammed on the brakes. She opened her eyes and looked over at him.
He sat stiffly, glaring out of the front window. Facing forward, Kagome soon saw what the problem was.
Dozens of cars stood in front of them. And in every single car, were at least two girls holding paper and grinning like crazy.
^.~
Sango slowly sat up and brought a hand up to her head. "Ow. . . killer headache." She grumbled as she stood up unsteadily, using the wall for support.
After the world stopped spinning, Sango blinked and looked around.
It didn't look like the cave she had been in before she was knocked out. . .
It was more of an elaborate room. There was a plush chair that looked particularily comfortable and Sango immediately walked over and sat in it.
Leaning back, Sango put a smile on her face, the chair totally and utterly perfect. Hearing voices coming down the hall, she quickly looked around for a place to hide, but it was too late.
The door opened and in stepped a woman, a man, and. . . Sumi.
Sango gasped. Where was she?
"Sumi! Where am - "
"This would be your room." The woman spoke clearly. Sango immediately recognized who it was. Hebi!
"Hebi! Sumi!" Sango practically shouted and ran towards them to grab their attention. They proceeded to ignore her.
Impatient, she grabbed Sumi's arm.
To her utter shock, her hand passed right through. "W-what?" she asked to her self in disbelief.
Then, she understood. She had heard fragments of Sumi's words to her. ". . .knowing everything I went through. . ." Sango muttered. "You little bitch! You transferred your memories to me didn't you!"
Sumi, unaware that anyone was talking to her, was examining the room over. "OH MY GOD!" she screamed as a drawer opened. Curious, Sango walked over and looked over Sumi's shoulder. It was a box full of. . . cloth?
"How did y'all know?" she asked happily.
Hebi smiled, and then answered. "We don't recruit new members until we study their habits and other such things to see if they are fit. Sewing just seemed to be yours. It will come in handy when, I mean if, you become a Rose."
Sumi looked at them in disbelief. "So. . . again, can you tell me what will happen to my family?"
The man remained emotionless, while Hebi suddenly hushed up, with a saddened look on her face.
The man spoke. "They cannot know of this."
"So I have to lie to them?" Sumi asked in a small voice.
"No." Sumi looked relieved. "They cannot know you are alive."
"So I can't see them anymore?" she asked in an even smaller voice. Hebi nodded her head slowly. "Oh."
"They cannot - "
"Don't tell her that." Hebi spoke sharply, glancing at Sumi's face. It was full of worry and sadness.
"Why not? She needs to know!" he spoke, directing that comment at Hebi.
She backed down, as if knowing her place, but continued to speak. "Marik. . . she's just a child."
"If she is to be a Rose, then all be done." He glared and then resumed his attention on Sumi. During their converstion, Sango noticed that Sumi's face had gone from estatic to extremely saddened. "No family members shall be left alive. You will break all connections to your friends, lest you want to guarantee them the same fate."
Sango gasped and shouted, forgetting that they couldn't hear her. "DON'T! SUMI! It's not worth this!"
Sumi began crying the way she always did. Tears streamed down her cheeks, but she ignored them.
"Can I have a day to think this over?"
Marik nodded, and motioned for them to leave. Hebi and Marik left, leaving Sumi alone in the room. Sango then noticed something.
She looked much younger than the Sumi she knew. She looked about. . . thirteen.
Suddenly, the world began fading around her and Sango looked around wildly, seeing the chair, tables, and everything fade out. Suddenly, it was replaced with stone walls and hard cold air. Sango shivered.
"Marik? Hebi?" she heard a voice say. Spinning around, Sango saw that Sumi was talking to the two forementioned people. "I'll do it. I'll become one of the Rose."
Sango felt sorry for the young Sumi. She didn't know what she had done to herself.
Realizing what the intent Sumi had given her, Sango gasped. "No. . ." but it was too late. The world began to fade again.
^.~
"S-sango, are you alright?" Miroku choked out, as he coughed up blood. Sango swept the hair from his face.
"Yes. You stupid fool! Why did you do that!" Sango yelled, angry at herself for letting him push her aside, so he would get wounded himself.
"T-to keep you safe." He smiled and held a hand up to her face, wiping at the tears that had begun to spill.
"Y-you idiot." She muttered as she hugged him fiercely, hoping Kirara came back with the medicine quickly.
Unknowst to Sango, pairs of eyes lurked watching them in the bushes. . .
^.~
Walking around, Sango finally found where the voices were coming from. "You could've put me a little closer!" she yelled in irritation.
Brushing past a leaf, she saw what it was.
"Maverick. Don't ever speak to me. Don't ever look at me. I don't want to see you at all!" Sumi screamed with rage at him. Maverick stood there, calm and appearing to be unafflicted by her rage.
"Why?"
This angered her further. "WHY? BECAUE YOU FILTHY BASTARD, YOU KNOW WHY! I HATE YOU!"
Maverick seemed saddened by this and quickly grabbed her and hugged her fiercely. She struggled, but in the end, his hold was too strong for her.
"Please. . ." he whispered hoarsely into her ear, but someone Sango could hear every word clear as day. "Don't say that. I could stand anything. Just don't hate me. Gods, please Sumi. . . don't hate me. . ."
And he brought their lips together into an aggressive kiss. Sumi didn't struggle. As he let go of her, she pushed him away roughly. "No. . ." she said calmly as tears yet again streamed down her face. "We can't. Not anymore. After what you did, I will NEVER forgive you. I still love you, but I will hate you for the rest of my life." She ground out as she suddenly vanished, a blue smoke the only thing showing that she had been there.
Sango watched this, and it reminded her of what Miroku had done. . .
^.~
Sitting next to the bed, Sesshoumaru gazed at Rin's face. He had memorized every single one of her features.
Suddenly, he felt his cheek wet. Jumping out of his chair, he lept around looking for the enemy. Seeing none, he allowed for a look of confusion on his face. Reaching up to touch the wet stain, he removed and examined it.
Were they. . . tears?
^.~
Sango looked around and gasped. It was Sesshoumaru! But what was this of? He looked the way she had see him just. . . how long had she been out?
But he was standing there, with Miroku, Inuyasha, Rin, and. . . Sango. Sango frowned, and walked over to her other self, examining. She also noticed Miroku staring at her other self's bust.
She wanted to slap him, but she couldn't. Her other self, as if hearing her thoughts, punished the monk.
"Sango! I was jus - "
"Save it." Sango suddenly understood. Sumi must have been keeping tabs on her during the years! She knew this memory.
"Sesshoumaru-sama?" Rin asked.
"Yes?"
"What are we doing?"
"Something. Don't talk." Rin nodded and then smiled, happy to obey her Sesshoumaru-sama.
He then motioned for Miroku to start. "Are you sure you want this? I mean, her health will never be -"
"I'm sure." He snapped. Miroku peered quizically at Inuyasha, who gave him a nod.
Turning, he began the ceremony.
Sango didn't want to watch this anymore. She knew what happened. The ceremony took place and all that junk. And then Rin was granted a demon's life span.
It would forever scar her health though. . .
^.~
Why had she not sensed them? The dozens of baby spiders were now fully surrounding them, Sango alert and slaying off any that got too close. What puzzled Sango was why they hadn't attacked yet. They just kept circling.
Keeping her from escaping.
Wait - could they be waiting for someone?
Did the spider they slay have a mate?
"Oh. . . shit. . ."
^.~
Sango looked around, confused as to why she was in a cemetary.
Suddenly she understood. She was only human after all.
And humans don't live very long. . .
^.~
"Mr. Taiyoukai?" the nurse asked softly. He seemed so reluctant to leave the room. "You can stay here." The man looked at her gratefully. "But you can't disturb me."
Nodding understandingly, he chose the chair away from Rin's bedside, as to let the nurse to her job.
Watching with perceptive eyes, he made sure the nures bandaged Rin's arm nicely. She had already lost enough blood and those damn doctors were requesting for blood samples every damned hour.
Sesshoumaru looked at Rin's face, which had paled even more during the last five hours. Deciding to refuse to let them touch Rin with those damned needles one more time, Sesshoumaru stiffly sat down and held Rin's hand. . .
^.~
Sango finally found what she was looking for. There, in front of her, was a gravemarker.
`Sango and Miroku' `Forever they will live with us.' And in front of them, were two mounds, indicating that there was two.
But it wasn't what she was sent to see, as two people, a man and woman, walked towards the markers.
"Strange that we had the same names right?" the man asked.
"Not really. It's only stranged that my grandfather had the same name. . . I WAS named after my grandmother."
"Oh. So. . ."
"WHA!" and Sango saw that the woman had slapped the man, and was currently blushing.
She stormed towards Sango and stopped in front of the graves. "So. . ." the man spoke. He looked familiar.
It suddenly hit her! It was Miroku! Sure, he was wearing strange clothing, like something from Kagome's . . . time. . .
Moving forward, Sango gazed at the girl. It was a replica of her!
This was strange. . .
^.~
As Sumi looked around, she knew she was in the right place. Hebi and Maverick were arguing. Probably about her. She snorted, causing them to stop their conversation and direct their attention on her.
"I'm done!" she annouced proudly.
Hebi gave her a sulky stare. "What did you do?"
"I gave her my memories!" Hebi and Maverick took one look at each other and looked back at her.
". . . please tell me that was just my imagination. . ."
"Nope. Why?" Sumi asked perkily.
"Because, you idiot, she might not be able to take it!" Maverick growled.
Sumi's confused look became a stubborn one. "She can. I've known her all her life."
"Did you take into account that she is with child?" Hebi asked, sighing.
Sumi blanched.
"Oopsie. I made a mistake." She peeped timidly.
Hebi glared. Maverick scoffed. "It won't be a problem Heb. (his nickname for her^^) If Su (his nickname for her^^) says she can stand it. She can stand it."
Sumi gaped at him. Maverick took that into account and snorted. "Of course, if Su can take care of herself is another story."
"MAVERICK!" she yelled, brandishing her sword. He, in return, flashed a grin and put him and his ax into a fighting postion.
Inside though, Sumi was smiling. She didn't know why, but she was POSITIVE it wasn't because of that asshole. . . or did she?
^.~
Sango slowly opened her eyes to find herself lying flat on her back, staring at the ceiling of the cave.
`Guess I'm done.' She thought to herself as she got up and looked around. Getting her Hiraikotsu, she walked out of the dank cave to find that it was nightfall.
"Damn you Sumi. . ."
^.~
"Inuyasha." Kagome hissed into the bushes. "There're gone!"
Inuyasha's head poked out of the bushes, sniffed the air and nodded. "Yeah. But wait." Kagome stared, confused for a few minutes, until he growled. "Damn it! Sango and Miroku!"
"Wha - AH!" and squeaked as Inuyasha scooped her up onto his back and bounded forth.
"I SMELL THEIR BLOOD!" Inuyasha yelled over the roar of the wind. Kagome paled.
What could have happened to them?
^.~
Sango sat there, wary of the spiders' moves. It didn't seem that they were waiting for someone. Or something for that matter.
They seemed confused. Every now and then a spider would crawl up slowly, but then the others would make screeching noises that were very unpleasant to the ear. After they `screamed' the rogue spider would back away.
Sango was puzzled by their behavior.
What was going on?
But she didn't have time to think anymore as they all leapt towards her and Miroku. . .
^.~
Inuyasha neared a clearing, and there they saw a horrific sight. Hundreds and hundreds of giant spiders were hurtling themselves at Sango.
She was slowly losing.
"SANGO!" Inuyasha yelled as he bounded over there, shoving Kagome into a tree first.
"HEY! GET ME DOWN!" Kagome yelled, but it was to no use. He was too busy slaying the demons to bother with her.
"SANKONTESSOU!"
"HIRAIKOTSU!"
Kagome sighed and watched her friends fight. They were winning and it seemed that after a few minutes, the only thing left to do to finish them off was. . .
"KAZE NO KIZU!" Where had Inuyasha gotten Tetsusaiga from? Kagome blinked. She was positive he didn't have it when they got here.
Come to think of it, she hadn't seen it since she met modern day Inuyasha.
Suddenly, Hiraikotsu was flung her way. Kagome screeched and ducked, causing her to lose her balance and falling out of the tree.
Inuyasha ran over and caught her before she hit the ground. Sango, on the other hand, ran over to retrieve her weapon. Kagome glanced at her direction and noted the dead spider next to it.
"There was a spider on top of you the whole time." Kagome blanched.
"WHAT?" But Inuyasha had already turned his attention elsewhere.
Kagome followed his gaze and saw Miroku, laying on the ground, a puddle of blood too big to be real. . . hopefully.
^.~
Rin moaned a little and moved her head. Sesshoumaru shot up, alert as ever.
"Rin?" he asked.
"Sesshy?" she asked groggily as she blinked.
"Yes. Do you feel sick?"
Rin shot him a sarcastic look. "Nope. I feel like I can fly."
"That's not a good thing." Sesshoumaru replied, not catching the sarcasm. "I need to tell you something Rin."
Rin smiled warmly at him. "Yeah?"
"Well, you bumped into something."
". . .and?"
"There was a miscarriage." Sesshoumaru stated bluntly, knowing that no matter how much he sugar coated it, Rin was going to burst into tears.
She didn't. "Oh." Was all she said.
"Aren't you upset?" Sesshoumaru asked after a moment's pause.
Rin smiled at him. It warmed his heart. "Not really, because we can always have another one. I'm sorta though. . ."
Sesshoumaru's heart skipped a beat. Should he tell her? Looking into her face for an answer, all he saw was. . . love.
And hope. He didn't want to kill that hope. That was what Rin thrived with.
It wouldn't hurt that she didn't know. "We can try again." He replied soothingly.
Rin cocked an eyebrow. "How about tonight?"
Sesshoumaru choked on air. What had happened to that sweet innocent Rin? "W-what?"
"Oh you know you want to. . ." she whispered seductively into his ear. Sesshoumaru felt the need to mate, but he knew that Rin's condition was still unstable.
"We will as soon as you recover."
"But I did! I'm awake see?"
"Fully."
"Fine then. No sex."
Sesshoumaru blanched. "Rin. . ." he stated. He had stayed up all night and he didn't want to delve into this right now..
"Nevermind."

AN: I'm really REALLY sorry for that long author's note. I will, in return, give you all a happy lil' chapter after this story is over.
It will be a cast party^^. Mind you, it might take awhile, but I'll get it up. . . Maybe I'll do that for all of my fics? (picture all the possibilites. . . ::falls into a dead faint::)
And to someone that e-mailed me. Initals BD. I don't know if I should put the name up or not!
I don't have a regular posting schedule. So. . .
Oh! If anyone wants me to e-mail them as soon as I post up a new chapter of any story, just tell me in a review, leave me your e-mail and tell me the story's you want to know about. . .
^^
(Oh and guess what? Remember the parent controls that my dad put on me? Well, now I only have one hour of internet a day, including for homework. So. . . I don't know what to do. It'll probably take awhile for updates. Sorry, but I have really important priorties. Like getting fit enough for band next year. . . ^^)
But I will NEVER quit writing^^
