Summary: After a huge fight, Kagome and InuYasha finally make ammends
just in time for her to fullfill her tragic fate

"Kagome I cant believe you would get jealous over nothing !" InuYasha screamed at her pacing the hut . the others were freaked and didnt move out of the corner
Kagome ran her hands through her hair and sighed
"InuYasha it wasnt nothing, you were with her again after you promised me you wouldnt!! If I did that to you and saw Kouga you would be furious"
"Yea because KOUGA KEEPS TRYING TO MAKE YOU HIS MATE!!!!" he spat the last few words at her
"He'd be a better one that you right now!"
shock over took InuYasha's face, he looked deeply hurt and angry aswell. the others gasped and looked at her in shock
He stould there for a second before Kagome realized
"InuYasha, I'm so sorry I didnt mean to say that" she said hurridly
"So the truth comes out, huh Kagome, Is that how you really feel? You wanna be with him? " He looked at her a second more that yelled "WELL DO YOU?!"
"InuYasha , I.." was all she got out before his eyes turned red and he left before he hurt her.
< The night seems like it will never end
Just like my heart shall never mend>

InuYasha ran out into the thunderstorm
'I cant believe she would say something like that'

"Kagome?" Sango put her hand on her friends shoulder
"Kagome please look at me , tell me what just happend" she sounded worried
Kagome turned toward her friend, her eyes filled with such pain and tears rolled down her cheek
they both stould looking at each other for a few moments
"Sango what did i do?" Kagome cried, throwing herself onto her friends shoulder
Sango patted her back not knowing what else to do
"Kagome it's ok , he's just pissed as always it'll work itself out in a few days dont worry"
<Finally I see my light
Shinning once more through painful strife>

After a few hours of calming down, Kagome decided to go search for InuYasha to try and make ammends.
She thanked her friends and left .
Walking into the cold forest wasnt the smartest thing to do but right now she didnt care
"InuYasha......InuYasha ...where are you?"
she called him for a long time until she heard his voice
her spirit rose. but only to be crushed once more
She heard him talking and after a short second she heard another.
'Kikyo' tears swelled in her eyes
InuYasha smelled the salt from her tears and looked to where she was
"Kagome? come out of there" he snapped the last part
She walked out slowly. tears flowing down her cheeks. she let them fall freely
for she knew he allready could tell.
<Once again I feel the shallow pain of night
And I look away from you gaze and cry>
She couldnt bear to look at him and Kikyo wrapped solidly around his waiste.
So she ran, as fast as she possibly could
one thought came to her mind
it was the song Sango had been singing the otherday
she said her mother taught it to her when she was younger, her mother learned it when Sango's grandmother was dying and She sang it to her ,when she was dying.
<Don't worry, Baby, this is my Destiny
But I promise someday
Everything will be allright

And one last time, I'll hold you tight>
She cried harder thinking of it
'One day things will be allright between us but this now is my destiny'
She stopped for a moment, and looked at the Goshinbuku , the same tree where she had met him.
'If it weren't for this damned tree I would never have gotten so hurt, but if it weren't for this same tree I would never have loved'
She reached up and touched the tree
at that moment something struck her down

"WHERE'S KAGOME!!??" InuYasha yelled as he ran into the hut
"Other room" Sango said cooly
InuYasha stormed to the other room
he looked at the battered girl in front of him
"Kagome how did this happen to you?" he said saddly
"I went looking for you, after our fight , I wanted to apologize and I dont remeber the rest" she sighed
He looked at Keade
"whats her condition"
Keade looked at the ground and mumbled saddly
"Fatal"
InuYasha looked in shock
"Is there anything I can do to save her?" she snapped
"No her fate is set InuYasha , I'm sorry"
He looked at her and his tears fell on her cheek
"InuYasha?"
"Yes?"
"Will you hold me?"
he nodded and carefully picked her up
< Tomorow It'll be to late
Promise me, baby, promise you wont cry
I'm sorry I sealed my fate>
"Kagome , I'm sorry , I never wanted this to happen"
"I didnt either but InuYasha this is my fate, I was to live loving you and die loving you" she began crying "I'm not ready to die InuYasha "
<I'm crying in your arms
I'm so cold, and yet your so warm>
"Kagome please dont cry"
"I can't help it, Im scared"
"This is all my fault"
"No its not" she tried to yell
she coughed hard, blood was coming upfast
"Kagome stop you need to calm down, dont talk just rest, I'll make sure you get better"
<Darkness encloses all around me
I scream your name
How can I end this pain >
"InuYasha you can't do anything for me, Keada said it was fatal, this is my destiny InuYasha I'm going to die"
"No I wont let you!!!!!!!"
"You ...::coughing:: have to InuYasha"
"Then I'll follow right behind you"
"InuYasha dont"
"Kagome, you cant stop me"
"I love you "
"I love you too, Kagome"

< Don't worry Baby, this is our destiny
I'll be with you in everything
But, I swear, Baby, everything will be allright
Lean closer to me
And this last time I'll hold you tight
Close your eyes, Baby
And drift to a neverending night>
Kagome slowly died in his arms.
He let out an earth shattering howl, and the others knew she had died
They ran to see, but only saw both of them dead.
He was holding Kagome and after she died, he followed suit in suicide .
they looked peacefull, resting in each others arms
The other two said their prayers for the spirits and left the villaige the next day.
End

Prolougue 200 years later
"Hey InuYasha"
"Kagome whats up?"
he leaned in and kissed his girlfriend
Memories of that night so long ago flooded to them both
they separated
"InuYasha, we've been given a second chance"
he looked at her and understood
