Relentless

“Fuck it old man! I said I quit!” Golden eyes ablaze, InuYasha threw his papers down on his boss' desk, “I ain't taking this shit anymore. I'm outta here.”

InuYasha turned and with his silver hair he sent a small gust of wind towards the desk of his angry boss causing the papers to scatter. The old man sputtered and shouted at him, his fat face turned red, but he only got InuYasha's leather clad back with a clawed finger raised in the air as an answer.

InuYasha closed the door to his car and grabbed his small black cell phone, dialing his favorite set of seven digits. After two rings a sweet voice answered, “Wench, I'm almost there. I'm coming to pick you up.”

Coming to a stop in front of the yellow painted house InuYasha got out of his car and grabbed the suit case from his girlfriend's hands. Pausing to notice that she was wearing his favorite sundress and kiss her lips he whispered to her, “We ain't ever coming back baby.”

Once they were on the road the music blasted from the stereo. And about four hundred and sixty seven miles away from Las Vegas Kagome asked, “What about Momma, I didn't even say goodbye.”

InuYasha flipped the radio volume down and glanced at her, “What do you say we go get married by a preacher man that looks like Elvis?”

Kagome smiled and squealed with happiness, “I'd love it!” Her smile faltered a little when thoughts of her family popped back into her head, wishing that she could share the event with them.

Sensing her line of thinking InuYasha comforted her, “Don't worry wench, we'll send her a souvenir or something.”
