Inuyasha's head was pounding. It felt like his head had spit open and his brain was slowly leaking out the back. Groaning he tried miserably to open his eyes and sit up, but was pushed back by a small but firm hand on his bare chest.

“Don't move.” It was a woman's voice. Slowly his eyes obeyed him and slit open, rolling around until they met with the clearest pair of blue grey eyes he had ever seen. Well when he was awake at least.

“Holy shit.” Inuyasha managed to croak out of his parched throat. The grim look didn't leave her face and for the first time he noticed the cold metal of a razor sharp tanto pressed into his chest.

“I said don't move. Who are you and why are you in my house?” Her glare faltered for an instant into something unreadable before it was back in place.

“You stabbed me…” He glanced down at his shoulder. Apparently she was in the process of cleaning and bandaging it when he woke up. His sliced hand had already been taken care of.

“Yeah I did. But you were in my house.” Her retort was softened by the regret in her tone. “I'm going to ask you this one more time. Who are you and why the hell were you in my house?”

“I think you know who I am…” Inuyasha trailed off and watched her intently. There it was again, that flash in her eyes. Sango hadn't really told him Kagome's side of the story, and had only given him her number. Having her last name, it was all too easy to look up her address in the phone book. Apparently he should really have called before he came over. He just had to see her and know if she knew him too. Judging by the way he wasn't being taken away in a cop car he assumed she at least recognized him.

“Not really. What's your name?” Kagome's blue eyes slid from his face to flit over his chest. She couldn't even begin to describe how she had felt once she flipped on the light. It was him, it was really him. And she just had to go off and pin him to a wall in her house. Granted he could have knocked, but still! She had instantly pulled him off of the wall, dragged him to the couch, and had set about cleaning him up. The bleeding had stopped fairly quickly but she still wanted to bandage them. Now to find out what he knew, how he got there, and if she was the only one having these sorts of dreams or if just so happened that a psycho burglar had the exact same face… and ears… and hair...

“Inuyasha. And I've been looking for you…” He wanted to raise his hand to her face and brush away the few strands of stay hair, but didn't really feel like getting stabbed again by a jumpy miko.

“Inuyasha.” The word rolled off of her tongue. Both liked the way it sounded coming out of her mouth.

“And you're Kagome.” He stated matter of factly.

“Yeah. How did you know that? And you still didn't answer my question. Why were you breaking into my house?” The tanto was still held against him, but they both knew she wouldn't be using it any time soon.

“I didn't break in. I went to knock and the door came open. You didn't lock it.” His eyes laughed at the way her cheeks flamed.

“Oh.”

“Yeah oh. And Sango told me your number and name. We saw her at the club.” He really wished she would take the blade off of him. It was cold and made his youkai want to show her who the real boss was.

“We?”

“Yeah the so called “monk” is my best friend.” He did laugh out loud this time as her hands quickly shifted to his hands, as if watching for him to mimic his friend's actions. Then he caught her scent. Apparently something about his hands was starting to make her aroused.

“Kagome?”

The girl in question jerked out of her revere of his hands and all the amazing things they had been doing to her in her dreams. She wondered if he had been having the same sort of dreams as well.

“Hummm?” Her vague mutter came so softly he almost missed it.

“What are you thinking about?”

Kagome's eyes shot to his face. A very large smirk was plastered there, almost as if he could read her thoughts. If he was anything like the dream version then he could most definitely smell her growing scent. Her blush in that instant was almost comical.

“Nothing. Why were you looking for me? And how does it justify you coming to my house at four a.m.?” Her eyes started to spark at him.

“I think you know why.” His eyes bored into hers as they widened perceptibly.

“Maybe. Why don't you tell me?” Kagome's heart felt like it was about to burst out of her chest. It really was him. It had to be, if the looks alone weren't enough, the way he was looking at her and his words were a dead give away…

“So you don't know me?” Inuyasha's voice broke into her thoughts. “You haven't seen me before? Talked with me? Touched me?” He watched her face as she colored slightly. Her scent spiked wildly and moved to surround him. He growled low in his throat. She smelled so damn good, even better than before if that was possible.

“I…I'm not sure…” Kagome stuttered around the words. He was making heat pool in her abdomen and tighten in her chest just by looking at her. Would it really be wrong for her to jump him? I mean, they were already doing things in the dream world, why not in the real one? And was she still technically a virgin? Now knowing that this man existed she wasn't sure the actual rules on the dream versus reality situations. It was kind of making her head hurt.

Red flashed through Inuyasha's eyes. His wench had not only stabbed him now she was denying him? Well the hell with that. In one fluid motion he had the tanto out of her hand and flung across the room, imbedding it deep within the far wall. The next instant had him pinning her down, her back to the floor with him on top of her. His eyes flashed again as he held her wrists down and growled at her. Her miko energy flared, but didn't even singe him this time. Apparently it recognized him even if she wouldn't admit to it.

“Wench, tell me now. Yes or no.” His face was inches from hers and she felt his breath ghosting across her lips as he panted above her. Part of her was terrified, but she knew with all her heart that he would never hurt her in a million years. An even smaller part of her wanted to yell and curse at him just to be stubborn, but it was soon erased as she felt the heat of his body pressing into hers. Swallowing hard she looked up into his amber eyes and gave him the only answer he needed.

“Yes.”
