Dreaming of the Past

Summary- I watched them die. Every night I watched as some man killed the people I cared about. Every night I have the same dream. I would watch myself die and then I would wake up and find myself in a pool of sweat. I keep telling myself, these images aren't real. But part of me doesn't believe it. A part of me thinks it is my past. But could I really be dreaming of my past?

Author's Note- This is it! The story I have been working on for about almost a year! One chapter and it took me a year to write it! I wanted this story to be perfect -to me at least-! I take great pride in this story and I hope you all enjoy it. Review please. And if you Flame, just know I will make a fool out of your ass to everyone who reads my stories!

About Rain- If you don't know me, or haven't read any of my fics, you might get confused about whom I am in the story. Okay to make this short, Inu Yasha and I are twins. I have black hair with read streaks and my tips are red. We were separated when our mother was killed. We also have a little sister named Serenity. I came back and found him and so we -meaning Serenity and me- were reunited with our brother. Also if you hear my Inu-bro refer to me as his "little sister" it is only because I am a minute younger then him.

Dreaming Of the Past

Prologue:

Imagine looking over a bloody battleground finding it littered with the blood and dismantled body parts of your friends and family. The only things alive were you, your twin sister and your love. Everyone else was dead. What if you did not have to imagine it? Because I don't. This was my life, this was my reality. Imagine my regret, my despair, my sorrow, and my anger.

Everything I held dear was dead or close to it. Now I have to watch this bastard ass baboon torment Rain. When he is finished with her, I knew he would brutally murder her and keep Kagome to himself. He then would come after me. Soon everyone would be dead.

And he would win.

The day was going so perfect. The sun was shinning and everyone was happy. Hell even I and my cold-hearted asshole of a brother were happy and smiling. Today would be the day we both propose to our future mates. Nothing was to go wrong. I was to make sure of it.

We walked through the woods for what seemed like hours. When we finally got to the meadow everyone ran towards the stream, eager to jump in and have some fun. The Monk and Sango walked to the banks and just stuck their feet in, both still on high alert for danger. Ayame, Kouga, Rin, and my little sister Serenity all jumped in the water. Sesshomaru being the "cool" guy he is, decided to sit close enough to watch Rin, but far enough not to be splashed.

Shippo and Kirara also joined in on the fun. They both decided it be funny to try and splash my brother. They succeeded, but with a cost, both of them with sore bottoms. What's funny was that he was still chasing them. Who knew Shippo could run that fast.

And then there was Kagome and Rain, both quietly whispering to each other. As I started to walk up, I smelt the sent of water and salt in the air. I knew whom it was coming from. No one had to tell me.

Rain quickly looked up when she felt my presence upon them. She quickly nodded and left. Upon my arrival I noticed Kagome turn away, hoping to shield her tears from. This girl, she thinks she can hide things from me. Not in a million years.

"Kagome." I quietly spoke as I laid my hand on her shoulder. "Tell me what is troubling you. You know you can tell me anything." I told her.

"Inu Yasha... It's just... It's been three months... And I..." She quietly trailed off as she began sobbing again. I knew what was bothering her, but I wanted to ignore it. This was her home now. She had to accept that, I wanted her to accept that... I needed her to accept that.

"Kagome..." I reached out for her again, but she moved away.

"We have all suffered so many losses… You with Kikyo, Kouga and Ayame with their tribes, Sesshomaru and Rin with Jaken, Shippo with his parents, Sango lost her only brother and her whole family, and Miroku's life is wearing thin. And do the losses stop there? No."

"Your little sister lost her best friend, Kirara lost her whole family, and Rain.... Me... God why! Why! How can everything be connected! How can he do this to so many people!"

"My family and Rain's soon to be family! Souta was not even in junior high! My mother, still young, and was not ready to let go! My grandfather still had a lot of kicks in him! But no, he didn't care. He only wanted to destroy them because of me! I am the cause." She had so much fire burning in her eyes. I knew she wanted revenge. But I couldn't give it to her yet.

I grabbed her hand just as she was about to walk away from me. "We all suffered losses, this true, but together we can make it! We are a team and we are a family!" I told her as I embraced her in a hug.

"Inu Yasha?" She quietly questioned.

"Shhhhh.... Lets try to make this last." She nodded, but I knew she wasn't satisfied. She still wanted revenge for the death of her family.

I knew this moment would not last forever. Unfortunately, I would never have a moment like that again. These next few hours would be my last. The last time to see my friends laugh, the last time to yell at Shippo or argue with Sesshomaru.

It would also be the last time to spar with my sister, the only one strong enough to match my strength. This would be the last time to hug my woman.

"Inu Yasha!!!! Demon approaching!!! It feels like...." Sango screamed.

"Naraku..." I growled, the bastard responsible for all of our sufferings. When we found out he was the reason of all the deaths, my pack formed and burned with the desire to destroy.

Sesshomaru pulled out his sword, ready to take on the demon from hell. The younger and more fragile people of my pack stayed in the way back, i.e. Kagome, Shippo, Serenity and Rin.

I took out my sword and waited for the bastard's arrival. But all I could feel was the wind. My lungs seemed unable to produce any air. I knew he was amongst us, but where. And that's when I felt it. Something felt like a piece of my heart breaking and that's when I looked behind me and noticed...

Shippo was missing.

We least expected him to go after the weak first. But when I turned around and found him missing, my heart skipped a beat. "SHIPPO!!!" I screamed. Everyone turned and finally noticed that the kid was gone. The women in my pack began to smell with the stench of worry, fear and sorrow.

When I turned back around, Naraku was standing about seven hundred feet in front of us, with Shippo in his hands. I unsheathed my sword and charged the bastard. He then took his sharp claws and ran over Shippo's neck.

Blood ran down the cut made by Naraku and dripped all over his small body. Shippo struggled more and began to scream. He then stopped struggling as Naraku ran his claws deeper into the pup, leaving him dead; Naraku had sliced half of Shippo's head off. Naraku then swung his claws to get rid of the blood on them. He then threw Shippo's body in the air and disappeared. I ran faster then I ever could, just to reach Shippo's body. I jumped in the air and caught it.

As I landed his head then finally came off and fell to the ground. That's when all the women in my pack screamed. The once cute baby Shippo was no more. My pup was dead.

When I slowly laid Shippo's body to the ground, another scream was heard. This time it came from my little sister. Apparently when everyone's attention was on Shippo, Naraku snuck up and grabbed Serenity and Rin. Sesshomaru cursed under his breath. He attempted to run to Naraku, but a hoard of demons and Kagura attacked him and us. As we began fighting Naraku grabbed his sword and stuck it into Rin's body while his free poison hand into Serenity.

Blood splattered all over his sword and on to his hands. Rin staggered a little bit before she fell to the earth. "Sesshomaru..." Were the last words she spoke.

"RIN!!!" Sesshomaru roared as he still fought some demons.

Serenity looked on with horror as she saw the teenager fall to the ground. With all her strength, she began to try to attack Naraku since he had one hand free and the other in her. Her attempts were futile.

Naraku quickly pulled his hand from her and grabbed his sword from Rin's body. He then swung it to cut off the young teen's head. As her head flew off it landed in Sesshomaru's arms.

"One hanyou down..." He smiled while licking his hands that were covered in Serenity's blood. "Two to go..." He said while he looked at Rain and me. Rain violently screamed and charged Naraku. He took away everything she held dear. She had nothing but revenge in mind.

"Hmmm, little hanyou, you think you can defeat me? Defeat my minions and we will see if you are even worth my time." With that he disappeared and Kanna and another bunch of demons reappeared.

I stood there, my claws digging into my skin. I lost a friend, my pup and my sister. I wanted to cry, but it showed weakness, but I couldn't take it and let tiny tears fall to the floor. Sesshomaru silently walked to my side and put his hand on my shoulder.

"All is not lost little brother... I still have Tensagia." I looked up as he unsheathed his sword. Right when he was about to bring it down and restore our love ones, a purification arrow hit his sword and broke it in half.

We all turned to see a miko in red garbs holding a bow. All that came out of my mouth was her disgusting name. "Kikyo!!"

"Kikyo! Why!? Why have you betrayed me again!" I screamed.

Kikyo turned her head around so she could glare at me. "Because I despise you! I despise you Inu Yasha! You were supposed to love me! Not my worthless reincarnation!" She yelled.

"He doesn't love me! He loves you! He is willing to die for you, you dumb bitch!!" Kagome cursed at her incarnation. Everyone's mouth dropped at the words that left the young miko's mouth.

'How could she think I love Kikyo instead of her? I love her and only her, but she thinks I love someone else... How could she think that? ' I thought to myself.

Kikyo sneered. "I don't care anymore, you worthless reincarnation. You can have him now." She then walked to Naraku.

"Because I have someone better." With that she put both hands on Naraku's chest and then slowly reached up and kissed him. Naraku put both hands on the openings of Kikyo's garments and ripped them open.

ALERT! ALERT! ALERT! You are about to read the most horrifying lemon ever between Naraku and Kikyo! Please if you are not 18 or older, or have a weak stomach, please turn back now! As he ripped them open, two round pale breasts popped out. I stood there shocked by the actions I just witnessed. I noticed everyone went back to fighting, but I could still sense their eyes on me. They were waiting to see what I would do.

Naraku stared at with a look of satisfaction on his face. He then started massaging the peaks of her breasts. 'How could she let him touch her like that? How could she! And on a battle field!' I thought. I ran to them to stop them from defiling the soil were my friend and family members died, but a barrier stopped me.

As I flew back Kikyo began to laugh while moaning at the same time. Naraku snapped his fingers bringing me forth. "You can't move Inu Yasha so stop struggling... I want you to watch this hanyou. I want you to watch as I take Kikyo's virginity... something you could never get from her!"

Naraku snapped his fingers again and more demons came to fight my allies. I try to turn to go to their aid, but I was frozen in place. I could not even turn my head. My eyes were glued on the scene before me, which was Naraku getting ready to fuck Kikyo.

Naraku looked at me and smiled. He dipped his head towards he right nipple and began to lick, suck, and bite her breast, while Kikyo made sounds of pleasure. My eyes grew.... 'She was actually enjoying this!?' I angrily thought to myself. I then heard two screams behind me, one belonging to a certain wolf youkai and the other to his lover, Ayame.

I knew they both died. I closed my eyes and said a prayer hoping they died fast and not so painfully. Even if Kouga and I didn't get along, I still considered him a friend.

Out of Inu Yasha's Point of view....

Kagome slowly looked at her dead comrade's dismantled body pieces. She then let tears fall as she began to shoot down some of the lower demons. Kouga and Ayame were sliced into pieces by Kagura's windstorm. Kagome could still see their body parts littered around her. She looked at her school uniform and gagged. She was covered in her allies' blood. "God help us all...'" She silently prayed as she let another arrow go.

When she finished another round of demons she turned to see how Inu Yasha was making out. What she saw was the most disturbing thing. As she stood there, she watched Naraku lick into Kikyo. Kikyo then began to uncontrollably move up and down.

Kagome started to cry even more. Not because of what would scare her for a life, but because HE was there watching it against his will... 'Inu Yasha.' She silently thought.

Back to Inu Yasha's Point of View.

My eyes were closed, but no matter what, I could still hear her moans of pleasure. Then something inside me clicked and my eyes jolted open. I tried to close them again, but it didn't work.

Those bastards put another spell on me. Naraku ripped Kikyo's remaining garments off her and then took off his pants. He squatted down to position himself over Kikyo's opening. Without any hesitation he pushed himself into her hard and fast.

Kikyo screamed in pain and pleasure as she wrapped her legs around him. He began to go faster and harder. Kikyo looked like she was in heaven. "Naraku... Harder my love!!" Naraku grunted to her response as he began to go as hard as he could. He was also pulling Kikyo's hair so she could meet his speed.

Naraku then let his free hand grab and pull Kikyo's nipples. He went down and bit her lip and started sucking on it. When they were both at their peaks, Naraku pushed as hard as he could while Kikyo screamed. Naraku then pumped in and out a few times before he let out his seed.

Kikyo felt nothing but pure bliss when he came into her. I felt sick to the bone... Not to mention I wanted to rip the bitch to pieces...

FINISHED!!!! For those who skipped the lemon, just know that Naraku mated Kikyo and Kouga and Ayame died by Kagura's wind fan! Sorry for the inconvenience non-lemon fans!

"Kikyo now carries my pup." Naraku stated. I looked at him with pure horror. He then pulled his pants up and lifted his sword. "Die..." He then whipped his sword out and killed Kikyo.

Kikyo's face held no regret, not even the look of betrayal. She looked happy. As Kikyo's body fell to the earth, it transformed into ashes once again. A little tiny bluish blob came floating out of her and back into Kagome. Kagome's body became blue as it reunited her with her lost soul. When I looked at her reuniting with her soul, I could have sworn I saw the look of hate in her eyes when she looked at me.

I had to say I was bewildered that Naraku killed his own mate. Usually those who have mates can't live long with out them... Naraku had a motive behind this.

"Are you wondering why I killed my mate and child? It's simple really. Kikyo is no use as a pot of clay, so I set her soul free. Since she mated with me she has become stronger, within a hour she will have taken complete control over your wench's body."

I smelt the air and could already sense the changes on Kagome's body; she was starting to smell like Kikyo. Kagome looked at Naraku in horror. "I'm going to be taken over by Kikyo... What am I going to do? " Kagome frantically said to me.

Naraku smirked, "And now you die Inu Yasha!" He began to charge me when an arrow flew by his head and nearly hit him.

Out of Inu Yasha's Point Of View

"No Naraku..." Kagome said while pointing another arrow at him. "You Die!!!" She then let her arrow fly towards him.

*Sigh* "This bitch is going to try and kill me with that puny arrow? " Naraku simply put his hand up and smacked the arrow away.

"My arrow... He could never do that before!?" Kagome whispered to herself.

"Aww... Miko don't you understand? By mating you feed off each others energy!" He then slowly snapped his fingers and out popped Kagura, Kanna and Kohaku. "Kill them all, except for Inu Yasha and his wench. I want to kill Inu Yasha slowly myself, while making her watch... Kohaku go have fun with your sister." Kohaku nodded at his master's words and disappeared to fight his sister.

Sango was running to go help Miroku with fighting Kanna, but a Scythe came towards her way. "Hello sister, prepare to die?" Kohaku emotionlessly said.

Sango held back the tears that threaten to fall. "No little brother, but I am ready to set you free!" Sango then charged with her kitana in hand.

"I am free! Free from you!!!" Kohaku screamed as he too charged at his sister. Both kitanas crashed as the siblings threw death glares at each other.

Miroku looked at the young slayer he grew to love. If he did not help her soon her life would be taken. Miroku used his wind tunnel to suck up the demons Kanna sent after him. When he finished his job he ran to Sango's aid. He was there just in time to see Kohaku disarm Sango.

"For now and forever, BURN IN HELL MY DEAR SISTER!!!" Kohaku raised his sword to make a clean swipe at his sister's head, but instead the young perverted monk used his body to shield her.

"M..Miroku!" Sango then let tears fall. "Why did you save me?" She screamed as he fell to his knees.

He then looked at her and smiled. "Besides being your friend, it is because I-

Kohaku stabbed his sword through the back of Miroku's head. The sword went through the monk's mouth and was inches away from Sango's face. Miroku's blood splattered on the shocked demon slayer's face. Kohaku pulled his sword from the Monk's head.

He then chopped off Miroku's cursed hand. "Well I guess you will never know what he had to say. His hand will make a nice souvenir. Why don't you keep it!" He then wickedly smiled and threw the hand at her as he went to stab her, but she stabbed him first.

"YOU FUCKING BASTARD!" She then twisted her sword and pushed it up higher into him. "BURN!!" With that she pushed it way up, until you could see part of the blade sticking out of his body.

Kohaku dropped to knees. He silently looked at her, finally returning to his normal self. "Sango? Why Sango?" He then drew his last breath and fell face forward to the ground. He died not knowing why his sister killed him.

"What have I done? What the fuck have I done?!" Sango screamed out loud as she looked at her brother's bloody form. She grabbed her own sword out of her brother's stomach. "To shed my family's blood, is to shed my own blood. I'm sorry everyone, but I got nothing else to live for." She looked down at her brother as tears swelled up in her eyes. She then looked and Miroku, her heart breaking with every passing second. She flipped her sword over so that the blade was facing her heart.

"Sango! Sango, what are you doing? Stop!" Rain screamed as she saw the young demon slayer about to stab herself. Rain hurriedly killed her foe and ran towards her.

"Where do you think you're going hanyou?" Kagura growled towards Rain.

"Bite me bitch!" Rain yelled as she ran towards her fallen friend.

"Oh I don't think so!" Kagura yelled. She then threw a gust of wind towards the unarmed hanyou. Rain was hit full on by the blast and was sent crashing into the trees. Rain shook her head to clear her vision, she then saw Sango mouth something.

"NO, NOT GOODBYE!!!" Rain screamed.

But it was too late. Sango looked at her sword. ' I'm sorry everyone!' She then pushed the blade through her heart. She began spitting out blood, and watched the blood that came from her heart drip onto her sword. She smiled at everyone before she fell onto the ground. No longer breathing, but still bleeding.

Rain watched as Sango's blood kept dripping off her sword. "Sango…" She whispered as a few tear slipped down her cheek.

"NO!!!!!" Kagome screamed as she saw her best friend's fallen form. She saw the whole thing. "SANGO!!!!!" She screeched while burying her crying face into her hands.

Back To Inu Yasha's Point Of View

I stood next to her, blood all over me since I destroyed most of the demons. "Kagome… I'm sorry, but we can't grieve right now, we have to survive!" I expected her to "sit" me or something, but she just looked at me with determination.

"They shall pay dearly. Inu Yasha!" I turned to her to see her eyes burning with revenge. "Destroy Naraku! If not for our fallen friends, then for me!" No matter what the situation was, Kagome always made me proud of her some way.

"I promise, Kagome, I promise." She then took out some of her bows.

"Inu Yasha…" When I turned, I saw her shoot three arrows towards the oncoming demons. "If I turn into Kikyo… Kill me… I rather die, then be Naraku's mate."

Before I could reply she ran off into the heat of the battle. But I kept wondering to myself… Could I really kill her if it came down to it?

Rain's Point Of View….

I looked around. The only ones alive were my brothers, the neko and Kagome. Everyone else was dead. "Dead…" I whispered to myself as I clenched my hands. I looked up to see the wind demon smirking at me. "If you want to die slowly, keep smiling Kagura!" I shouted at her as I grabbed my kitana.

"Wrong hanyou, I am smiling because, now it is your time to die!" Kagura then charged at me. I swiftly dodged her and stuck my kitana through her.

"All talk and no action!!! Goodbye Kagura!" I then stuck my kitana into her more and twisted it.

Kagura let out a howling pain. "This hurts, so much." She said as she held on to my sword. She slowly smiled me. "Thanks for setting me free…" She then closed her eyes and fell forward onto me. I closed my eyes and said a silent prayer. I knew Kana and Kagura were not really that bad, they were just controlled by Naraku.

"Naraku…" Saying that name was like drinking acid. I loathed him. He killed my mate… He killed everything dear to me. My eyes turned a blinding red. "Now, he will pay."

Kagome's Point Of View

I saw him… Just standing there like he was watching a high school brawl. "The bastard…" I muttered to myself. As I moved forth to try to attack Naraku I felt a pain in my chest. It felt like someone was ripping from the inside. I tried over and over to fight the feeling and attack Naraku, but when I raised my bow I just couldn't shoot.

Then it hit me… Kikyo was taking over my body.

"Inu Yasha!!!" I screamed. The hanyou turned to look at me as I pointed my bow at his heart. "Inu Yasha kill me now, she's almost completed the process!" I yelled at him.

"No! There must be another way!" He screamed at me. He began dodging the arrows coming from me. I took the small dagger Rain gave me from my pocket, and aimed it towards my heart. "If you won't do it then I will!" I screamed at him. As I tried to violently shove the dagger into me, I felt my heart start to burn, which made me drop the dagger before I could penetrate myself.

I slowly looked at Inu Yasha with teary eyes. "And so it has begun." That was the last thing I remembered before I went unconscious.

Back To Inu Yasha's Point Of View

As I watched my woman crumple to the floor, a blinding blast came from behind me. It would have hit me if not someone jumped in front of it. I turned around just in time to see Kirara dissolve into thin air. Just then an arrow flew past my head. I turned around to see Kagome's body, but I knew who the person was that was inside of her.

"Kikyo…. Why couldn't you just stay in hell were you belonged?" I venomously spat at her.

"Because my dear Inu, I wouldn't have the pleasure of killing you in your own wench's body!" Kikyo then aimed another arrow at him. But someone stopped her.

"Kikyo, leave him to me." Naraku said in his monotone voice. Kikyo nodded to her mate and kissed him passionately. "Bring the other hanyou forth!" Naraku yelled to some of his other demons. I then watched with horror as they brought my twin sister forth. They caught Rain.

"Let my sister go, you bastard!" I yelled towards him. When I looked to my right I saw Sesshomaru running towards Kikyo and Naraku.

"This Sesshomaru will not allow you take his little sister away!" Sesshomaru then charged at Naraku, but before he got within three feet in front of him, Kikyo shot him down. I watched as my half-brother flew back. He began shrieking as the arrow started to purify him. I tried to run to his side, but by the time I got there, he blew up. I felt his blood splatter all over me, I then opened my eyes and saw the only thing left of him was a piece of his clothing.

I felt like throwing up. "NO! Sesshomaru!" Rain screamed. She began crying and thrashing about. "I'll kill you! I swear to god Kikyo, I will kill you!" Kikyo smirked as Rain made empty threats towards her. Kikyo was about to slap her when Yukito, another male offspring of Naraku, walked towards Rain.

Yukito made his way to Rain and grabbed her away from Kikyo. "I always wanted you my little Hanyou." He then began to lick her neck. When he got to her mark her mate gave her, he began to laugh. "He did not deserve you, only I do." He then bit into her neck. Rain screamed in pain as her old mark disappeared. Yukito began to shred Rain's clothes. She then took he claws and scratched up his face.

"I belong only to him! You will never be half the youkai he was!" Rain screamed as she drove her kitana into Yukito. Yukito staggered a bit.

"You Bitch!" He screamed as he fell back and closed his eyes.

Naraku looked at his offspring's lifeless body on the ground. He shook his head at the dead body; it was useless to make them if all they did was die easily. Naraku then threw a blast that pierced Rain's chest.

Out Of Inu Yasha's point Of View

Inu Yasha watched was Naraku began tormenting his sister. Everywhere he looked was death and blood. He then took his sword and began to charge Naraku. Kikyo slowly pointed her arrow at him. "I may not be able to kill you, but I can kill her!"

Kikyo let her arrow go. As it sped towards Rain, Naraku jumped from where he was and landed next to Kikyo. Rain let out a shrilling scream as the arrow hit her. The arrow then disappeared and let Rain unharmed. Or so they thought.

Inu Yasha looked as his sister began to examine herself. She then decided the arrow was a dud and began to run to Inu Yasha for the final battle. When she took a step forward a red line formed in the middle of her body. Rain felt her body begin to split. She let out a howl and then started to split open.

Blood stared to squirt out, and her head began splitting open. In a matter of seconds, Rain's body was completely split in half. Inu Yasha looked on with horror as he saw he dead twin. He began howling like a mad dog, and then started to charge toward Naraku.

"It is your turn to die now Inu Yasha!" Naraku then shot a blast towards the hanyou. Inu Yasha tried to dodge it, but he was not fast enough and was hit in the stomach. He fell back and began to breathe heavily.

'Is this how it is going to end? This is how I was destined to die?' He quietly laughed at himself. He never even got to tell Kagome how he felt.

"Kikyo, hold on the Shikon for me. I want to watch Inu Yasha die slowly." Naraku then handed Kikyo the completed Shikon No Tama. Kikyo looked at the hanyou she once loved. She began to feel emotions that she long forgotten.

"No! No!" She screamed as she ripped her hair. She then fell to her knees trying to breathe normally. Naraku went over to his mate and began to try and comfort her. As he looked into her eyes he slowly realized that it was Kikyo no longer.

Somehow Kagome got back into her own body.

Naraku then backhanded the woman. "Where is my mate!" He screamed as he approached her. Kagome slowly stood up.

"Dead, as the bitch should be!" Kagome screamed at him. She then spat into his face. "You will be next!" Naraku growled and stuck his hand through her. Kagome began throwing up blood. Naraku pushed her down and walked towards her hanyou.

"My mate is dead, and so is yours. And now you die!" Naraku then tried to strike him, but an arrow struck him and pinned him to a tree. Kagome staggered a bit before she fell to her knees next to Inu Yasha.

"Without your mate I can cast all my spells on you." Kagome then took a deep breath and began to cast her spell on Naraku. "And so you fall into eternal sleep. Now and forever shall it be deep. Until we are all reborn and I find what is mine. Forever lay until it is time." Naraku slowly closed his eyes as Kagome chanted the spell over and over.

Inu Yasha watched as he enemy fell into an eternal sleep. 'Right now sleep sounds good.' He thought. Inu Yasha then slowly began to close his eyes. "Hey Kagome." He said.

Kagome used the last of her energy to crawl next to her lover.. "Yes Inu Yasha?" She then began to cry. Neither of them would make it out alive.

"Promise to wake me up? I don't want to dream forever. I want to be able to see your beautiful face again. I love you koishii." Inu Yasha then put his hand over hers and closed his eyes. Kagome let the tears stream freely from her eyes.

"I promise, koishii. I'll wake you from your dream. Just remember me." Kagome replied. She held on to the Shikon Jewel and made a wish. The jewel did not disappear after the wish, but began to become a bluish color. Kagome watched as a bunch of humans began to spill over the hills and towards them.

A young girl about seventeen approached Kagome. "Kagome-sama! Don't move we will try to heal you." Kagome slowly smiled at the young girl.

"Miaka, leave me, it is my time to die." Kagome smiled as she watched Miaka try no to cry. Miaka was such a strong girl. She was the best apprentice Kaede had. She would grow to be a powerful miko.

"Miaka, burn my body and my friends bodies together. Also take the Shikon No Tama and burn it with me. Tell our story let it live on. Make sure no one forgets our names." Kagome then violently began coughing up blood.

"I promise on Kaede-sama's grave that your wishes shall be carried out." She then looked at the sleeping Naraku. "And him?"

"Leave him. Within twenty-four hours his body will be invisible. When we come back our battle will start again.

"I also have one more favor. Come closer to me." Kagome asked the girl. The miko complied and knelt down to her level so that Kagome could whisper her last wish into her ear. At first she thought she hear wrong, but hurriedly agreed to Kagome's plan.

"Also, Miaka when you burn our bodies, burn mine with Inu Yasha's please?" Kagome began to close her eyes slowly. She was becoming more tired with each passing second.

Miaka nodded as she let her tears fall. "Hai, I shall burn you guys together." Miaka watched as Kagome muttered a few words and slowly stopped breathing. Miaka signaled the villagers and they began the long process of picking up the dead bodies.

Miaka watched as Inu Yasha and Kagome's bodies burned. When they picked up the two, their hands refused to separate. Miaka began to sob. Their love ended in a tragedy and Inu Yasha never got to hear Kagome's confession. She could still hear Kagome's dying words.

"Koishii, I love you always and forever."
