Chapter2: To another Lord!
Kagome P.O.V.
I quickly dressed and then headed downstairs to get something to eat. No doubt in my mind Lord Taisha would be up by now, and there he was sitting at the head of the table where he usual sat for meals drinking tea and reading a document. "Good morning KAgome, I trust you slept well by your protests to awaken." He said sarcastically never looking up from the paper. I blushed in wmbarassment and took my usual seat on his right and poured myself some tea, I never really liked to eat breakfast. Lord Taisha was an older demon or so I heard he certainly didn't look it, he had sliver hair past his waist and an inch or two past his knees, a sun in the middle of his forehead directly nexted to the cresent moon. The sun signalified he was the Lord of the northern Lands and the Moon of the western, ehich he pasted on to his older son. He had two blood red stripes on each cheek, and a solid bone structure, one that when smiled made him look caring and loving and sweet, but when he scowled or glared made him look terrifing and made you want to run for the hills. "You ready to leave?" He asked still reading the document.
"Yes, My lord." I said softly and took a sip of my tea.
"Taisha, please, how many times do I have to ask you? I am your god father, call me Taisha. Is Souta ready?"
"I believe so he packed last night so he could sleeo in late today only having to wake when we are about to leave."
"Tehn let him, but we leave in less than an hour so after you finish your tea go and awake him and tell him to get dressed in formal clothes. He can't meet the Lord of the West in his usual play clothes." Taisha laughed.
"Yes." I said then finished drinking my tea and slowly stood up bowing to Taisha and left the great dinning hall to go wake Souta.

The cariage we were riding in, Souta and I, was the royal cariage blood red and bright sunflower yellow, with the northern mark on the doors, and two black horses pulling it. Taisha rode ahead to warn Sesshomaru to get ready for our arrival, but rode a horse so he was only fifty yards ahead ther whole time. It would take us two days and two nights of straight through only stoping to replenish the horses to get there. We had been riding for eight hours now and the sun had gone down almost an hour ago the dayds getting short the more they got colder. Souta was already asleep, I was almost in a dreamland myself, but struggled to stay awake, when I slept, I remembered in nightmares and I didn't want to rememeber anymore. But my eyelids kept getting heavier and heavier, until finally I couldn't hold them awake and the same memory filled my vision.

"No." I whispered through tears instead of screaming as I woke up abruptly. WE were still in the cariage and being pulled along.
"You ok sis?" Souta asked as he looked at me with worried eyes. I nodded then looked out the window to see it was already past noon and halfway through the after noon. "We'll have to stop pretty soon, for the horses." Souta said going back to stare out the window. And just like he said not ten minutes later we came to a slow stop, Souta and I gratefully climbed out of the couch and stretched our legs.
"Kagome!" I heard Taisha shout as he rode up to us from the road ahead.
"We will be there within twenty minutes after the water teh horses, seems it's not as far as I remember, but we were right on the boundry between our lands, anyway make sure Souta and you are prensentable, my son is a mean soul." He warned the waved and went back ahead of the road where he came probably to arn his eldest son.

We did reach the mansion's vast gate in abo;ut twenty minutes, and Souta and I couldn't believe our eyes, the caste looked like it could house all of Japan, it was huge and a light creamy color with tons of windows and balconies, stables, and it's very own bath house. "Wow..." Souta and I both sighed atthe same tiem both in awe as we neared the monsterious thing. And there was Lord Taisha and what seemed to be his son not forty feet away on the front steps, arguing. I pulled Souta back into the couch and made sure his clothes were straight and tidy, as were mine and not five minutes later we came to short stop, right in front of the steps that the two lords were quietly arguing on. Two couchmen came around on both sides to open the doors for me and Souta, and it was sp weird being treated like a lady whe nI would be the one openning the doors if I was that lucky not even two months ago.

"I will not take your responsiblities, I don't care if you do fear war from the South."
"You will if I tell you to, I am still your father and the olden Lord of this Land, and you have to hear what I say."
"Hear it, noit obey it." Sesshomaru told his father watching as the little boy was helped out of the cariage by one ofthe servents. 'The girl is probably an infant.' He thought, remembering how most unwealthy families killed the newborn if it was a girl they had first, but was surprised even though he didn't show it as a young lady about seventeen years old was escorted by another servent around from the other side.
"Sesshomaru this is Souta, and his older sistern Kagome Higurashi." Lord Taisha said in a honorable voice, as KAgome bowed low before Sesshomaru as Souta just stared up in awe as he did Lord Taisha when he first saw him, but Taisha laughed at this as Lord Sesshomaru scoweld at it. Kagoem hurriedly stood a little straighter still in a bow and smacked her little brother over the crown of his head, enough to cause pain and bring him back to reality. The boy blushed at his mistake and hurriedly was bowing low himself.
"Stand." Sesshomaru said emotionlessly. 'He was intriged by this woman, a commoner, with grace, but a commoner enough to hit her brother to make him bow.' Taisha laughed at this little display as Sesshomaru wrinkled his nose at it. The both stood striaght, Souta still staring up at the mighty lord, as Kagome bowed her head, knowing her place in the world, she was a pessant, and he was a lord, and knew he had no problem killing them or just throwing them helpless back into the harsh world. The western lord turned to face his father as his father did he. "One month, and only because you are forcing me, one month then you come get them or they are back where they came from." He sneered and without asecond glance went back into the castle as servents came ushing out the second door to lead they new guests to their rooms and to get their things.
