Drinking, Driving, and an abused life.
chapter 1: dream
" You were with someone else, weren't you?!"
" No i wasn't, i swear to god".
12 year old Kagome Higurashi opened her door ever so slightly to peak at, and listen to her parents' argument. She saw her sister, 14 year old Kikyo Higurashi, standing by them, but yet still a safe distance away. They were at the top of a flight of 20 steps. Kagome's mother's back faced the staircase. While Kagome's drunk father stood a mere foot away from her, a beer bottle in his hand.
" Then why would you come home so late? huh?" Kagome's father Kin said.
" I was shopping for Kagome's birthday present, It's her birthday next week", Kagome's mother Ari, said
" Shopping is the reason why u come home at f...in' 11:00 in the night?!?!", Kin bellowed.
" Well i had to go to quite a few stores. And besides, i got stuck in a very long traffic jam", Ari explained, or tried to.
" Well i don't care," Kin said and smashed his beer bottle against Ari's head, causing her to fall back wards, down the stairs, screaming.
Kagome gasped, but didn't say anything or scream, for she knew she'd get into trouble.
As Ari fell, blood dripped all over the wood of the 20 steps. She died at the foot of the stairs, in a pool of her own blood.
" Whoops", Kin said, " Butterfingers". He then laughed, and walked down the stairs, to get another beer bottle, Kikyo following.
Kagome ran to her bed, sobbing so hard, that she couldn't stop.
July 12.
Ari Higurashi died.
