A/N: Hey! This is the third fan fic I've started so far; Main word there is "started". Well, anyways I hope you like it. It just popped into my head so I ran down the stairs and went immediately to the computer * now I am making up the rest of the story* thus shoving off my dad which made him decide I could live w/out the T.V. for a week but then noticed my swollen ankle that I hurt from running down the stairs so fast just so I could make you guys happy and quickly called off the punishment and left with the comment "They should pay you for these stories that you write for their pleasure." Lingering in the air. Not that I'm trying to give you a hint or anything… Just Kidding!

Chapter One:

A Summer Night's Run

Kagome wiped the sweat off her brow as she fell down onto the road from pure exhaustion. Her black jeans were stuck to her legs from the sweat they had produced.

`Damn this summer heat!' Kagome thought, very irritated but didn't dare say it aloud. She couldn't risk being caught this time. They had just ended her, very expensive, appointments with her psychiatrist.

Her whole body stiffened when she heard something that sounded very similar to some one walking. She got up and darted behind a corner shop.

`Probably Officer Sango.' She told herself. Or actually it was more liked she hoped it. `Sango is a hell of a lot more understanding compared to the rest of the cops.' She told herself.

Kagome peered around the little store and narrowed her eyes so she could see down the dark road. All of a sudden the noise stopped.

"Are you ever going to learn not to look, but to wait for the person to pass you to see who it is?" a deep but rough masculine voiced ask.

"Oh it's just you Inuyasha." Kagome sighed while stepping out from behind the corner shop.

"What's that supposed to mean? `Oh it's just you Inuyahsa.'" He mimicked her teasingly. He walked up to her and stood so close to her so that all he had to do to kiss her was lean down half an inch.

`He always does that.' Kagome thought, somewhat amused. `He likes to think he can intimidate me. Likes to think he's in control.'

But the truth was that he could and did intimidate her with such intimacy even if it meant nothing at all to him.

"So what's tonight's little mission? Stealing or taking away your life or did you come up with something new this time?" he asked her mockingly.

"Uh! That hardly seems fair!" Kagome said insulted "I never tease you for all the stuff you've done and still do!"

"That's because I could easily kill you." Inuyahsa said calmly while putting Kagome in a headlock. Kagome would have rather enjoyed the closeness of their bodies if it weren't for the fact that she could barely breath.

"Inuyasha?" Kagome gasped.

"Huh?" he asked, his lips just a few centimeters from her ear.

"I can't breath." Kagome managed to say.

"Oh really? That's to bad."

Kagome's eyes widened in horror.

`Surely he wouldn't.' She tried to reassure herself. Seconds before she passed out he let go of her throat. She fell down from not having enough oxygen flowing through her body to give it its strength. He looked down at her amused at how weak she really was. She pretended she was tough and yet she was lying on the road gasping for air.

`You son of a bitch!' she wanted to scream at him but knew better than to push Inuyasha's limits.

"I have a favor to ask of you." Kagome said.

"And what would that be?"

"Will you please go away?"

"And let you kill you self? No."

"You're to late anyways." Kagome said while showing her arm so he could see the cuts that went all the way up it.

"Shit." Inuyasha muttered, taking off his wife beater so he could use it to cover the cuts on her arm. They weren't deep cut's this time but they were cuts and they were bleeding.

"No!" Kagome said stubbornly, pulling away her arm.

"There's no way in hell I'm going to let you bleed to death!" Inuyahsa told her. He maneuvered himself in such away that he could hold her still with one arm while wrapping up the cuts with the other.

All the sudden the far off sound of sirens rang in their ears.

"Shit!" the both said simultaneously, Inuyasha darting off in one direction and Kagome in the other. But it was to late for Kagome. The police car had already caught up to her.

"Freeze!" she heard some one command through a megaphone.

"Damn it!" Kagome muttered while slowing to a stop and turning around.
