A/N: thank you so much for the reviews you guys. Love ya for it. Even though I still think you only did it out of pity. Heehee! Well anyways here is my attempt of a chapter.

Chapter Three:

Hey There Beautiful

"I'm so glad it's summer." Kagome thought aloud. "No school. No Questions." She said, referring to the cuts on her arm that were hidden by something she likes to call an arm cuff. They look very similar to socks that have the end cut off and a little thumbhole so you can wear it on your arm. Hence the name `arm cuff'.

Kagome was walking around the block out of sheer boredom. Or at least that's what she told herself. She was really hoping to find Inuyasha. But to her dismay she only found the little creep that made cat calls to her earlier on that day when she was on her way home from officer Sango's. She tried to walk by him with out being noticed but no such luck.

"Hey! Nice to see you again beautiful."

"Shit." Kagome said under her breath.

"Guess what I got for you!" He said with amusement.

"My guess is that it's something that I don't want." She replied, still walking forward without turning around.

"Oh come on!" he said following her. "I know you'll want this."

"And what would `this' be?"

"You being known as MY woman."

"Ugh! Gross." She said in disgust. "Why would I want to be YOUR woman?"

"Because I'm the greatest man the world could ever offer." He said with full assurance.

"Or not! No way in hell would I ever want to be your woman!"

"Why not?" he asked truly appalled but still following her.

"Because," She said whirling around to face him and his green eyes. " I don't go for sleazy, wannabe's, who think that ever girl in this damned universe would fall at their feet at the chance to be THEIR girl! No way in hell." She said while disappearing into a little store so as to avoid a possible scene.

"Oomph." She gasped when she ran into somebody that was exiting the store she was entering.

"Hey! Watch where you're going wench!"

"Oh, Hey Inuyasha. Sorry about that. I was just…" but ended her sentence. She was about to tell him bout the weird little freak out there but decided against it. He was very protective of her. She was like a little sister to him who hadn't quite grown up yet.

"Just what?"

"Oh never mind. It was nothing important."

He raised an eyebrow at her but didn't voice his suspicions.

"Hey, how's your arm?" he asked while walking out of the store with Kagome at his heels. At first she hesitated, that is until she realized that the little freak was gone already.

"Oh. It's healing."

"Let me see." He commanded, taking her arm before she could protest. "It's better. It's healing faster. It's a whole lot better than the cuts that I received."

"What? Oh, are you all right?" Kagome asked, the concern showing in her eyes. "You didn't get in another fight did you?"

"Back off wench!" he commanded sharply but instantly regretted the sharp remark and gently said, "It's only a cut from a Naruku. I meet up with him after I saw you. He took a broken beer bottle and slashed my right arm." He pulled up the sleeve of his T-shirt. There were three deep cut that were still bleeding a little and a few other minor scratches.

"Here." Kagome said, taking off her red bandana that she was wearing in her hair.

"Think of it as me paying you back for your wife beater." She said while tying it around the cut.

"Umm alright." He said with obvious discomfort. "Hey tonight I'm going to go to this new club. I would recommend you not go there."

"Why?"

"Because we're going to have another showdown there. My gang and Naraku's."

"Oh, so you're trying to protect me?" Kagome said with a sly smile.

"No! I'm just trying to make sure that some little bitch doesn't get in the way."

"Look who's talking! You're the bitch!" Kagome replied huffily and stormed off the sidewalk and across the road on her way home.

"Damn." Inuyasha said under his breath. "Why does everything I say come out wrong?" he asked himself while rubbing his face with his hands.
