Dry Season

::CAUTION::
I wouldn't really call this a lime, but just in case*a teeny bit of adult content ^.~(PG-13)*. I don't own any of the characters in this story. *Boy, I really do pity those who are actually on the prowl to sue someone for forgetting to mention that they don't claim their characters. It's really sad.*

"You know that sealing the well is off limits, Kaesoto."
"Yes, but I also know that that girl is one of Inuyasha's weaknesses."
"But, He said that sealing the Dry Well is a crime."
"But you know that if she doesn't have another world to take refuge in, than we do not have to attack Inuyasha directly."
"I still think... It's a bad idea..."

"How far away is it to the village? My feet are getting tired." Kagome said, scratching the back of her knee.
"About a mile." Miroku informed.
Kagome sighed in exhaustion. I sun was high in the sky, a cold, crystal blue surrounding it in a hue of a purified ocean crest, free of clouds. Inuyasha's ears twitched at the sound of Kagome scratching her shin.
"Will you stop that annoying scratching?! It's so irritating." Inuyasha's skin shook as she scratched her thigh.
"Ooooooh, Inuyasha's giving fleas to Kagome!" Shippou laughed, hopping onto his shoulder.
"Shut up!" He shouted, in addition to a "I resent that!" from Myouga, and shoved him off his shoulder into the dirt.
"I don't think it's fleas..." Kagome sweatdropped.
Sango looked down at her dry, itching hands. They've been like that for a couple of days now...
"Hey, Kagome, do you have sensative skin?"
"Huh? I don't know." She replied, looking up.
"I know I do." Sango smiled weakly, showing her her chapped hands.
"Yes, it is the dry season." Miroku implied.
"Hm. I told you it wasn't fleas." Inuyasha said, closing his eyes contently.
"Well? So, even if I do have dry skin, what am I supposed to-"
"Oh, I have some lotion. It usually helps out a lot." Sango said, pulling out a rather large leather bag tied to a string around her waist. Its contents looked heavy.
"That's enough to last, what, a year or two?" Miroku asked.
Ignoring his remark, Sango pulled at the two strings gently, the bag slowly being pulled open. She walked over to Kagome holding out the bag to her in a gesture for her to take some.
"Thank you." Kagome said, dipping in a hand and scooping out a little on her palm.
"What are you guys stopping for? It's already turning sundown." Miroku said, walking ahead.
"Yeah, quit being a bunch of women and hurry up, already." Inuyasha snapped.
Kagome flashed Inuyasha a dirty look before she began to apply the lotion to her legs and arms.
Inuyasha cleared his throat and clawed hand reached up to cover Miroku's eyes. But Miroku wasn't the only one having thoughts. He frowned and reached up to cover Inuyasha's blushing face as well. Kagome giggled.
"I wish I had my camera."

"Stand down, Inuyasha!" Growled the demon.
"Bite me." He growled as well.
"A pleasure!"
Inuyasha grinned, his fangs bearing his lower lip as the demon charged full speed towards him. He played his tetsaiga and stood ready. But, the demon suddenly changed paths. It shot straight up in the air, its tail writhing beneath it. It shot forth towards the cliff just above Inuyasha's head. Inuyasha jumped up in the air, slicing its head off cleanly, but its tail whipped forward into the mid-section of the cliff, causing it to tremble voilently. Suddenly, the top of the cliffcame barreling down at Inuyasha. He gasped.
Over two hundred boulders, rocks, and pounds of dirt and pebbles landed directly on top of him.
"Inuyasha!" Kagome screamed.
She ran towards the pile of dirt and rocks, half-hoping he had jumped out of the way in time and she just didn't see him. The wind tore at her hair, making it whip and sting the back of her neck and face. Tiny bits and peices of demon flesh fell from the dark sky and landed on her shoulders, sliding off, leaving a wet trail of bloody slime. She jumped face-first into the pile, digging, pushing back boulders as hard as she could, throwing pebbles over her shoulder, all the while screaming his name and asking if he could hear her.
"Yeah, yeah, don't worry about me." She heard Inuyasha say.
"You're alive?!"
"Duh." Came the faint voice, a little strained.
She still couldn't see him at all. She listened closely to his voice and located the spot where he should be. Panting, she began lifting the small boulders, pushing them away and letting them roll off to the side. Mud and dirt splashed up onto her skirt as rain began to fall. Her hair stuck to her face and knitted brow as she frantically dug into the spot where Inuyasha was supposed to be. The wind blew again, stinging her cheeks with the thick, side-winding rain. Suddenly, something incredibly heavy landed atop her hands. She couldn't move. Everything went black.

"Kagome?"
Kagome blinked her eyes open. A sudden, extreme pain coursed through her entire body. She screamed, closing her eyes again, hoping to wake up.
"What? Stop. What's going on?" She asked wearily, every once and a while grunting at the pain.
"Your hands... The bones in them are fractured. I think." Came a familiar female voice.
"Kagome?" Inuyasha asked, walking towards the girls.
"Sango? What happened?"
"Your hands were crushed beneath a boulder." She said simply.
Yes. Kagome could feel the torturous pain in her hands. They seemed so crushed together. The bones... Her fingers felt like a dumptruck had rolled its way across them; so boneless and empty. She didn't want to even try moving them. Kagome gasped.
"Ah! Is Inuyasha okay? Please tell me he is alive!"
"I'm right here Kagome." Inuyasha said quietly, squating down next to her and sitting indian-style.
Kagome sighed happily. "Oh, good. There's some good news."
"He only survived because you removed all of those boulders. The tetsaiga was originally held above his head at the time, so it kind of blocked the rocks from hitting his head. There was too much weight to hold up for him without your help." Myouga said, jumping off of Inuyasha's shoulder to Kagome's chest.
Inuyasha blushed. "Maybe. I still think I could've survived without anyone's help."
"The least you could do is say 'thank you'." Shippou added as he ran up to Kagome.
"I thought you was asleep!" Inuyasha said.
"I was."
"Is Miroku still sleeping?" Sango asked.
"Yep. I think so."
Kagome stared at Inuyasha, whom stared back, confused. After a few seconds he scoffed.
"Wha-What?"
Kagome smiled, but frowned just as quickly feeling that all too familiar itch on her legs.

The day passed by slowly. The sun rose and set in what seemed like a matter of years. Kagome's legs were still itching, as well as her arms. Every once and a while, she'd scratch her leg with her toes after kicking off her shoes. No one wanted to help her out by rubbing lotion on her legs. Actually, Sango and Shippou had been 'out' somewhere for the entire day, Inuyasha downright refused, Miroku said 'sure', but Inuyasha didn't quite agree with him, and Myouga, well, let's just say that dry season would be over with by the time he was done. She sighed, scowling at the irritation on her arms and rubbing the backside of her shoulder against the tree that she leaned against.
"Sango and Shippou still aren't back yet." Kagome told Inuyasha as he sat down beside her.
"So?"
"I'm starting to get worried about them, that's all."
"Oh." He hummed.
The longer the silence lasted, the darker it got.
"It's getting dark." Kagome whispered, breaking the silence.
"I know that." He replied.
"Could you help me get ino my sleeping bag?" She asked, proping herself up on her elbows.
Without saying anything, Inuyasha grabbed her bookbag from beside him and handed it to her.
"Well?"
"Well. Well, what?" He asked.
"Well, do you want me to open the zipper with my teeth or what?"
"Oh."
Inuyasha quickly unzipped the bag and immediantly the sleeping bag popped out. He grabbed it and stood up. He laid it on the ground next to Kagome and flipped open the side so that she could slip in. Then, he reached out both hands for hers. She held up her wrists and he took them, helping her up and gingerly letting her down on top of the soft material.
"Slowly." He warned quietly.
She nodded, praying not to slip and have her hands pulled out of place.
"There." She sighed, laying down on the loose fabric, her wrists still in Inuyasha's hands.
The further she pulled, the further he went. His knees bent and before either of them knew it, she was laying down on the sleeping bag with her wrists being held out to the sides by Inuyasha's hands as he nearly sat above her. Kagome held her breath in her chest, though her heart was beating rapidly.
"Sorry." He mumbled, jumping backwards so he landed between her feet.
She lifted her head and looked down at him and laid it back down as he began to scoot away into the grass.
"Hello Inuyasha. Having a good time over here, are we?" Miroku walked up to the two.
That was when he spotted the slight shades of pink on Inuyasha's cheeks and quickly understood.
"I'll be sleeping if anyone needs me."
Though Inuyasha or Kagome never seemed to notice that he was ever really there.
"Hey Inuyasha?"
"What?"
"Can I ask you a big favor?"
Inuyasha stared at her, waiting for an answer.
"It won't take long." She shook her head.
He sighed and stood up, sitting down next to her and looking down at her.
"What?"
Kagome propped up on her elbows and leaned over to whisper into Inuyasha's ear. He leaned forward in curiousity.

...^.~...

"No!" Inuyasha blushed, backing away.
"Please, Inuyasha! You have no idea how much it bothers me!" Kagome whined.
"No!" He wheezed and coughed.
"Please? Pretty Please? Pleeeeeeeaaase???"
"I can't!"
"I'll cry if you don't!"
"No!" His voice cracked.
"I'll scream and sit you a hundred times so you won't ever get the chance to have children in your future!" She warned.
"But-!"
"S-s-s-s-"
"No! Okay!"
Kagome smiled warmly.
"Oh, thank you so much you, have no idea how much this means to me."
Inuyasha tried to swallow through his dry throat and grunted at the attempt.
"Sango left the lotion next to my bag, if you can find it."
"Eeehhh..." Inuyasha muttered, walking to where the backpack was last sat.
Retrieving the large, leather bag, he sat down at the oh-so-familiar space between her feet. Her legs lay flat atop the dark material of the sleeping bag that ended just below his own feet. He gently pulled at the string as he had seen Sango do before, letting the folds fall open a bit. He unwillingly slipped his hand into the soft, satiny mush and pulling it out so that the flowery fruit smelling slop covered nearly half of his hand. He winced.
"I gotta put this junk on your legs?" He asked reluctantly.
"Yeah. And make sure that you rub it in well, too. Otherwise you'll have to do it all over again."
"So... Where does it itch?" Asked Inuyasha, wondering where to start.
"Everywhere."
Inuyasha gulped. That was the one answer that he was hoping not to get. He frowned and slapped the lotion onto her foot, sliding the slick matter up to her knees. She gasped and he jumped all at the same time.
"What?" He asked, suprised.
"Nothing. That was just really cold."
He sweatdropped. Then, he just realized something.
"Hey, how am I supposed to get the bottom of your legs?"
Kagome blinked. "Huh? Oh."
Gradually, but audaciously, Kagome lifted up her knees, exposing them further and stretching them out a bit to the sides of Inuyasha. He suddenly found himself in a very awkward position as her skirt flipped backwards a few inches. He screwed his eyes shut and wiped the sweat off of his forhead with the palms of his hands.
"What's going on down there?" Kagome asked, aware of the whole tensity in the air and enjoying it a bit.
"No-nothing."
But all Inuyasha could concentrate fully on at the time was how her smell had suddenly tripled in strength. It made his head spin and his breathing come out in short, stiffled, soundless puffs of air. He cleared his throat and blinked open his eyes, trying to adjust to the surroundings around him.
"Inuyasha, are you okay?" She asked.
Regaining his common sense, he stiffined, once again beginning to rub the sleek substance into her skin, mindful of his claws. He mainly worked on her right leg at first and sluggishly worked his way up to her thighs. The farther he went, the stronger her scent increased. Once up past her knees, he was forced to scoot closer towards her. The scent made his vision blur and the world around him spin. In his daze of super-smell, his lotioned hands suddenly slipped across her lotioned leg, forcing his hand up the side of her panties. She gasped, her eyes popping open.
"Inuyasha! I never asked you to lotion my hips!"
"Ah!" He suddenly sat upstraight, back to her feet. "I can't help it, Kagome!"
"Of-course you can't." Kagome sneered.
"Don't get all...-your scent is just too strong for me to handle like this!" Inuyasha said defensively.
"My scent?" Kagome asked, confused.
"Y-yeah..." He admitted.
"...oh..."
"Yeah." He nodded.
"I'm sorry. If that's the problem, then try to just get it done with as quickly as possible." She said sternly.
"Mm-hm. Easy for you to say." He said, slurring.
Inuyasha was practically getting drunk on Kagome's scent.
He pulled all of his hair behind his back and sighed frustrated as he tried concentrating on nothing but getting this done as soon as possible.
'Two legs' He thought, 'Just do both of them at the same time.'
Inuyasha stuck his fingers into the leather bag again for more lotion and wiped it onto the left leg, sliding his hands up each leg at the exact same time. With each greasy stroke, the scent of Kagome grew stronger and stronger and stronger. Inuyasha felt himself losing his senses again... he quickly pulled away from her for cleansed oxygen. He placed his hands in his lap and took deep breaths. Kagome watched him as he sat up and moved away from her to breathe. She'd never ask him to do this again... though... it's not like she doesn't enjoy any of it...
Feeling somewhat refined, Inuyasha proped himself above Kagome's legs again. Starting at the base of her heels, he massaged the oily stuff into her feet, slowly working up to her knees, using his thumbs to mollify the itch. He solaced her knees and rubbed up to her thighs again. The tough part. Without scooting closer this time, he leaned in, trying to keep his face as far away as possible. Her scent was intensifying. Rapidly growing stronger by the second! But he was almost done, no sense in backing out yet. He moaned, feeling his world slowly melting away, his mind warping out of meaning. He was losing it again! All of the sudden, his legs gave out and he fell, face-first, into... Kagome. All at the same time, his hands shooting up her skirt, past her hips, up her ribs and into her shirt. Kagome screamed shock.
Miroku gasped and jumped out of his sleeping spot. He ran to Kagome, whom, by the way, isn't screaming anymore, but is stiff and totally pale. At the sight of Kagome's skirt up, Inuyasha between her, and his hands up her shirt, Miroku grinned and sweatdropped, holding up two reassuring hands and backing away. No, scratch that, running away. Kagome couldn't believe it.
"Inuyasha! You'd better be fainted or asleep or blacked out or something! You better not be conscious!"
His ears twitched. She could feel her heart shooting tremors down to her toes and back up to her neck.
"Inuyasha?" She asked.
Without getting an answer, she scoffed, feeling the blood rush to her cheeks as his fingers twitch. She felt as if the entire world was watching her...
"Kagome! What happened?!"
She once again turned pale as Sango ran up to her, but stopped, realising that that red thing was Inuyasha... and he wasn't where a good dog-demon boy should be...
"Oh, my-"
"What's going on, what happened?"
Sango suddenly noticed the kitsune at her feet and quickly bent over to grab it before Shippou went running up to them in his natural curiousity. Before turning away, Sango mouthed something like, "For Gods sakes, cover yourselves at least" or something like that... Kagome whimpered helplessly.
About ten minutes after the confrontation with Sango, Kagome gasped as Inuyasha's fingers twitched again and he slightly moaned, pulling his hands out of their usual *accidental* placement and sliding them beneath Kagome and around her back. She heard a muffled sound that sounded of both another moan and a purr... and he pulled his head up, nestling it on the pit of her stomach, pulling himself as close as possible to her.
"He's asleep." She said to herself, admiring him as she usually did when he was asleep.
She lay, wishing desperately that her hands weren't crushed. The second before her eyes fell, a shooting star raced across the sky.

Kagome woke, feeling the mist of the morning cover the bare areas of her skin. A dragonfly skipped across her nose. She blinked, seeing the dim orange sun floating alone in the grey sky, like a ripe orange in a bowl of whipped cream...
"Oh, boy, I'm hungry..." She said to herself.
Then, remembering last night, she craned her neck upwards to see if Inuyasha was still down there. He was. She smiled and reached out to touch his ears. She gingerly stroked the soft fur that covered the basis of his left ear and chuckled. Reaching out with another hand, she massaged the other ear. Inuyasha's arms strenghtened.
"Mmph... do that... more..." Said his muffled morning voice against her belly.
She giggled, raking her fingers through his silver hair.
"Mm... Your hands... Don't they hurt?" He asked, sitting up and looking at her through half-slitted eyes.
She gasped.
"No! Not at all!" She said quietly.
He yawned sleepily and rested his head against her stomach again, holding himself against her.
"Inuyasha... I may be healed."
"Yeah... It's a miracle." He replied drowsily.
Kagome smiled sincerly.
"You... Come up here..." She said, pulling Inuyasha by his arms upwards.
He went with it, crawling up to wrap his arms around her. She cuddled up next to him.
"Why are you doing this?" He whispered in her ear.
"Because... I want you to be happy."
"And...I'm only happy with you."
"I know."
After a serene moment in a timeless haven, Kagome wrinkled her nose in discomfort.
"What's the matter?" Inuyasha asked.
She replied by rubbing her leg with the heel of a foot.
"I thought that stuff was supposed to last..."
"I know... would you help me, again?"
"Of course."

The End
