Feudal Era

The young priestess of amazing power staggered backwards, she used her bow to block, and the claws of the dragon demon. She charged her bow with her Miko energy, and the claws glanced off digging into her shoulder instead. She growled low in her throat, her stormy blue eyes blazing, as she tripped, back into the ancient bone eater's well. The pain clouded her mind.

“Lady Kagome!” Her mentor Keade, her teacher yelled, as the young priestess fell.

Kagome, the priestess shot one last arrow, as she fell, it hit the dragon looming over the well, and purified him with a huge pink explosion. She was surrounded by a blue light as she fell, and then found herself landing gently at the bottom of the dry well, as she black out…

Present day.

A young Hanyou walked up the shrine steps with his three friends. He had long silver hair down past his butt, tied back in a loose braid. He had blazing amber eyes, and a pair of silver puppy ears atop his head. He was about 6'4”, and he was lean and built. He wore a pair of slightly baggy carpenter jeans, a long sleeved T-shirt with a humorous T-shirt over it. The chain of his wallet jingled a little as he walked, and he wore black skater sneakers for comfort. He was the son of the local Lord. He smirked, he crouched ever so slightly, and took the stairs in a single leap.

“Inu Yasha!” One of the two boys with him complained.

“C'mon, Houshi, you can take the stairs, we only been coming here what nineteen years, you know better then to keep Nanny Higurashi waiting!” Inu Yasha called from the top of the Sunset Shrine stairs. Behind him was the house, to the right was the ancient well house, `Gramps' shop, and the Goshinboku. Inu Yasha was a half human half dog demon, and he took advantage of it.

Miroku, the Houshi, he was a third or fourth generation monk, with a curse on his hand. It was the Kaza ana, or the Wind tunnel, and he always wore a blue fingerless glove, with a rosary rapped around it. He was about 6'6”, and he too was lean, and muscular, having grown up training with the other boy, Inu Yasha, and the girl that was keeping her distance from him. He had shoulder length black hair back in a pony tail, his deep purple eyes blazed with life, and optimism. He wore a blue Fox racing hoodie, and black jeans, along with black boots, as he took the stairs.

“Yash, you are such a damn show off.” The other boy said. He was about 6'3”, he had elf like ears, and deep emerald eyes. He had shocking reddish orange hair, with two white streaks, one on either side of his face, his hair was pulled back in a low pony tail. He had the Gothic Punk look, with black pants, that had chains and straps all over. He had a black hoodie, and lots of piercings. He was a kitsune, and his lower legs and feet proved that, along with the long reddish orange and white tipped fox tail. He was an orphan, and had been adopted by Inu Yasha's father, Inu Taisho, like Miroku had been.

“Pansy.” Inu Yasha shot back at the Kitsune.

The woman had long brown hair in a low pony tail, she rolled her caramel eyes at the boys and their antics. She was the descendant of a long line of Demon slayers that dated back to the Feudal Era. She had trained with these three since she was little, and she was an expert at demon slaying. She often carried her over sized Boomerang the Hiraikotsu in this modern age ruled by Demons. She was about 5'9”, skinny, frail looking, and she was a looker. Her name was Sango, Inu Yasha usually refereed to her as Taijiya.

Miroku stroked her bottom as the reached the top of the stairs, while she was distracted glaring at Inu Yasha.

Sango didn't even turn to look at him, she just pushed him.

Miroku cursed, and tucked into a ball, and he proceeded to roll painfully down the stairs. Unable to stop without hurting himself worse.

Inu Yasha froze, lifting his face into the wind. “I smell blood.” He paused, smirking seeing Sango looking a little repentant. “It's not familiar.”

Miroku came jogging up the stairs, shaking himself slightly, he was moving a little carefully because of the bruises he'd just received.

Inu Yasha paused concentrating, he leapt to the well house, and easily popped the lock.

Shippou was beside him in a moment. “It had a sweet scent to it, smells innocent, holy almost.”

“It's human that's for sure.” Inu Yasha said, as slowly stalked down the stairs inside the well house.

Shippou was right behind him, as Sango and Miroku watched the door.

“Jason, what's up?” Miroku asked, using the name that Inu Yasha used, that way people wouldn't treat him like the royalty he was.

“Human blood, smells like yours, only more pure, and female.” Shippou answered, as Inu Yasha ripped the wood and spell scrolls off the top of the well.

Inu Yasha looked down into the well, and growled. “How the hell…” He trailed off.

“What?” Shippou asked.

Jason used a couple of the old dried vines and roots to slowly climb down, he didn't know what was down there, and didn't want to chance hurting the source of the blood. He saw a woman in ancient miko robes, a bow in her hand, and a quiver on her back, and blood coming from her right shoulder. She had long raven black hair tied with a white silk ribbon, and looked identical to his old girl friend Kikyo. He carefully picked her up, and scared the crap out of Shippou as he landed between Miroku and Sango at the door.

Shippou jerked his head around as Jason carried the woman bridal style.

“Kikyo?” Miroku asked.

“No, Shippou told you, she smells of holy power and innocence. My questions are how the hell'd she get in the well, and what this is all about. C'mon let's have Nanny look after her.” Inu Yasha took long strides to the house, and gently knocked on the door with his sneaker.

Nanna Higurashi let them in. “Yash, what happened?” She asked, rushing for the first aid kit.

“We dunno, Shippou, and I smelled her, she was in the bottom of the well, and it was all sealed up tight.” Inu Yasha said.

The three boys were shooed out of the room, and Nanna, and Sango saw to the mystery woman's wounds…..
