I've lost her and now I've nothing. I've lost her because I couldn't let go. I couldn't let go of my past. Or was it hers? It doesn't matter. Nothing does anymore. The monk, the exterminator, the kitsune, and the youkai called Kirara are convinced that someone has taken the beautiful miko. That could be the only reason she'd been gone so long.

 

But I knew better. I remember that night. The night I told her we could never be. The night I took her heart and squeezed it until it shattered into so many little pieces. I broke her. I broke her spirit. Yet she didn't leave without her revenge. When I saw her tears, her pain she broke me too. She ran home. I know. I made sure. I sent her home under Kikyo's direction. She told me of a plague that would kill my precious miko.

So I sent her home, but she wouldn't leave. My courageous Kagome wanted to stay. To stay with me. I saw the love in her eyes, but I would not let her stay.

 

I told her lies. I told her truths. About my love. Now she's gone. Prey to my clawed hands, my harsh words and Kikyos cruel tricks. It's been seven months. No plague. No Kagome. I'm left with nothing. Nothing but the hollow remnants of a past unforgotten and the many pieces of the heart belonging to my one true love.

 

The never ending circle of lies and deception has come around again. But this time I'm the liar, I'm the deceiver, and I've lost my one and only. But yet isn't my punishment the same? Alas it is, once again my sentence is worse than death. A life without Kagome, my miko, my true love is worse than a thousand deaths, yet mercilessly less swift. Like I've been told, the life of a hanyou, a half breed is condemned. I've sealed my fate of eternal death.
