InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Even death can't stop us ❯ chapter 3 ( Chapter 3 )
Authors note: Hey! I'm sure I spelt a lot of stuff wrong on that last chapter (as my vulgar friend Britz said I would. Hi Brittany!) So just tell me what I spelled wrong and I'll be really rude and tell you that's the way it's spelled but then I'll change it to the right way once your backs turned. Oh, and by the by, if there's any OOCness just ignore it. It'll go away.
Chapter 2
Once they got back to Kaede's and she'd checked all over Sango the verdict was that she'd be all right. "Just a few broken ribs and some bruises. It looks better than it is, though."
"Well thank god for that." Said Inuyasha. They were all sitting in Kaede's hut eating dinner while Sango slept.
"What I don't get is why that kid wanted to attack Sango." Kagome said, to start the conversation.
"Yeah, obviously he wasn't after the shards cause he didn't even go near you, Kagome-sama, and he obviously didn't want to fight Inuyasha since he seemed to be bored by him." Replied Miroku.
"That, and he told me he just wanted to harm Sango." Chimed in Inuyasha.
"Honto?" They all said.
"Yup. As I was chasin' after him he said he didn't want to fight me. Just kill Sango."
"Well that's weird." Piped up Shippo
"Definitely." Said Kagome.
After two days of rest and relaxation Sango seemed well enough to at least sit up and have a conversation.
"Kagome," sighed Sango, "I'm sore all over."
"I see Sango. You do throw that boomerang pretty hard, you know."
"No kidding. My muscles are all tense and I'm swollen"
The very unwise Miroku chose this moment to enter the conversation.
"Would you like me to relieve your tense muscles and help with your swollen behind?"
"Kagome." Sango said calmly
SMACK
"Hentai."
"We're getting to used to this."
"Sad, really."
They both nodded and hung their heads.
Later that night…
Kagome found Inuyasha high up in a tree. "Hey! Inuyasha, come down her for a second."
"Feh"
"Sigh. Typical. C'mon, Inuyasha. C'mon ,boy!"
"There you go, woman! Treating me like a dog again!"
She smiled "Sorry. It's just I kinda wanted to talk to you."
He seemed remotely interested "About what?"
"I was thinking about going home."
That got him out of the tree. "No way!"
She smiled "Oh, so now you want to talk to me?"
"Your not going home!"
"Who said I wanted to?"
"You did! Just now!"
"I couldn't go home and leave Sango all alone, Inuyasha."
"Then why did you say you wanted to?"
"Because that's easier than s-wording you out of it."
"Figures you'd lie, bitch."
"Sit"
Inuyasha slammed face first into the ground.
"See, and now you get s-worded anyway. Tsk tsk."
Kagome heard some words being mumbled under the hanyo's breath.
"I'm sorry, what was that?"
"I said, you better want to go home because when I get up I'm gunna pound you so bad…"
"Remember who your talking to here."
"Damn it."
"I know," she said while patting his head, "but at least now I can talk to you."
"Knock yourself out."
"Alright…"
but she didn't say anything. She just sat there. Patting his head. The effects of the spell had warn off by now but he didn't move.
He actually enjoyed just sitting there with her and for once it didn't seem like he was going to ruin it.
"Inuyasha…" she finally said, "You know how my Miko powers have improved a lot lately." He lifted his head to look at her.
"Yeah."
"Well, I can't help but feel like I'm getting ready for something. Like preparing for a battle."
Inuyasha sat up. Frowning at the image of her in battle. The few actual times he'd seen it. "You don't have to worry Kagome. I'll protect you."
She rested her head on his shoulder and smiled. "I know," but then she started to frown, "It's just…I don't think your meant to fight this battle."
Her looked down at her as he slid his arm around her. "What makes you think that?"
She shrugged sadly. "A feeling. One that's laced with…" she trailed off thinking I'd be a bit too dramatic to say "doom."
"Laced with what?"
"Ramen!" She squealed as she grabbed his hand and dragged him towards the village.
"Ramen?"
"Uh-huh!"
"Are you sure? I mean, that doesn't sound right. Why would your feeling of battle be covered in Ramen?"
"Maybe I have to fight you because you eat all of it when my backs turned!"
"Can't argue with that."
***
It was about three days after "the incident" when Sango could finally bath. It took some help from Kirara and Kagome to reach the spring safe and sound but they managed it.
"Aaaahhhhhhhhh…." Sighed Sango as she inched her way into the hot water, "Doesn't this feel great Kagome?"
"Hmmm." Was the only reply she got.
They just floated around for a while before Kagome started to broach her worries.
"Sango, it was really creepy how that kid could control you."
Sango sighed. "I know. It was like I just kind of blanked out for a while until I felt Hirakotsu hit me." She shivered at the memory.
"Stupid kid and his `revenge'! Like I'm the bad guy for living. I'll try harder to stay dead next time."
"Next time?" Gawked Kagome.
"Kagome, you know there won't be a next time. I'm just stressed is all."
That was the end of their conversation. There just didn't seem to be anything to talk about, so they decided to savor the relaxing moment. That was until they saw someone walking toward them surrounded by poisonous bees.
