Ok this is the first story I have ever written (for Inu-Yasha) so can you please review so I can see if I am doing a good job? Please! You don't have to you know........Anyway one of (actually 2) of my friends edited this story for me, and one of them is typing it up for me cause I don't have the time and she wanted to!! Ok well I hope you enjoy my story.

"Hey Kagome!" Inu-Yasha yelled trying to wake her up.

"Whaaat? I'm tired," She replied.

"Well wake up I have something to tell you. I'll meet you in the kitchen," Inu-Yasha replied back while waking out of Kagome's room.

They were at Kagome's house. Inu-Yasha was down in the kitchen eating steak with a side of instant ramen, Buyo was hissing at him for being mean to him.

"Inu-Yasha what are you doing here?" Yawned Kagome when she got into the kitchen.

"I came to get you because Naraku set up another strong demonic barrier," he said.

"Are you serious? I have a test today, can't it wait till after school?" She said in shock.

"I guess so.....but make it snappy!" He replied.

"You could get out sooner Kagome. After the test I mean," Kagome's grandpa said while walking into the kitchen.

"What are you getting at Grandpa?" Kagome said curiously.

"Well you could act sick after the rest and just bring you text books to the feudal era and study for the next test there, but before you do, ask for the following months homework for your mom. (it's really for you)." He said with a weird smile.

"Kagome you should do that, so we can get back and try to find Naraku," Inu-Yasha said.

"I guess it could work, but Inu-Yasha don't fight with Shippou. He is still a fragile, little foxling. I mean don't fight over the instant ramen," Kagome said whispering the last part to Inu-Yasha.

"So I guess it is settled. Kagome be here at noon and while you are at school I will make you guys some lunch. Inu-Yasha would you like to help, you could learn something?" Kagome's mom said while walking into the kitchen after hearing the whole conversation.

"Ok. Well see you guys at noon then," Kagome said.

"Kagome hurry will'ya," Inu-Yasha said.

"Oh, Kagome don't forget the next months homework schedule. It is so you can study," Her grandpa said so she wont forget.

"I won't forget. I will be back as soon as I can," she replied. "Bye!"

Kagome starting walking out the door to school.....to another test she doesn't know the answers to.

"Inu-Yasha....do you have a crush on Kagome?" Kagome's mom asked.

"What do'ya mean a crush?"

"Oh you should know. That means you're in love."

"Oh brother."

**** Back To Kagome....at school..... ****

"This is bad. I got a really bad, I mean a really bad mark and I stayed up studying all night," said a sulking Kagome.

"Hey Kagome, maybe I can lend you my notes next time, well anyway I am hungry so I'm gonna go to lunch. See ya later," Said Tomi. (one of Kagome's friends)

**** Later....... ****

"Can I go to the nurses office? My stomach hurts," Kagome asked one of teachers. "Oh and my mom want to have next months homework schedule."

"Yes you can go, and I will drop it off in the nurses office in a couple of minutes," replied the teacher.

"Thanks," she said while faking the pain.

So Kagome walks to the nurses office. A couple minutes after she got there her teacher arrived with the homework schedule. Her mom picked her up not long after that.

"Kagome, I have lunch made and Inu-Yasha was a good helper. You should thank him," her mom said when they walked through the door of their house.

"Ok I will, and thanks for picking me up," Kagome replied happily. Kagome then walked over to Inu-Yasha.

"Hey. Kagome, are you ready to go yet? I got lunch for the two of us," said Inu-Yasha.

"Yeah, I'm ready. Thanks for helping my mom make lunch," replied Kagome.

"Then quit standing there. Let's go," Inu-Yasha said while rushing to the well.

"Yeah, yeah. I'm coming," she said.

"Kagome, you come back safely, you hear?" Kagome's mom said.

"Mom don't worry. I promise to be back in one piece when I come back. Bye mom," Kagome said while sighing. Her mom always said this to her. 'I mean I can't blame her for worrying about me, but I always come back in one piece.....don't I?'

After saying goodbye she and Inu-Yasha jumped down the well.

"Don't they just make a great couple?" Kagome's mom said to noone in particular.

"If you say so," her grandpa replied.

**** Back with Kagome and Inu-Yasha.....hopefully they aren't fighting...... ****

"Hey Kagome, are you alright....you seem a little off?" Asked Inu-Yasha.

"Yeah, I'm just a little tired from staying up to study for a test I failed," replied Kagome.

While the two where walking to the camp with the rest of their team, a little fox saw them.

"Miroku! Sango! Inu-Yasha and Kagome are back. After taking so long!" Yelled the little fox. Also known as Shippou-the-brat-who-annoys-
Inu-Yasha-and-gets-hit-in-the-head-and-the n-Kagome-sits-Inu-Yasha......or just Shippou.

"Hi Shippou, Sango, Miroku," asked Kagome.

"Kagome did you bring that ninja food?" they asked in unison.

"Yes, but you should thank Inu-Yasha because he helped cook the food," replied Kagome.

"Thank you Inu-Yasha!"

"Yeah, yeah. It was nothin," replied Inu-Yasha.

**** Later that night........it was dark.....duh..... ****

"I am going to go for a walk. I'll be back later," said Kagome.

After she left Miroku said "You know, you should follow her just in case something might happen to her Inu-Yasha."

"Fine, I'll go after her. Just leave me alone," he said some-what annoyed.

Once he got outside he followed her scent, and found her near a lake.

Noticing that Inu-Yasha is behind her she said "what are you doing here?"

"I'm supposed to protect you, right? You never know what might happen to you when my back is turned," He said softly.

"Thank you for worrying about me, Inu-Yasha..." Kagome said happily.

"Don't worry about it....Why do you like it out here, anyway?" he asked

"I like it so much because it's so beautful...All the stars shine so brightly," she said calmly.

'I could almost melt in his amber eyes' Kagome thought.

"Well....I guess we should be heading back now. huh?" Kagome asked, staring absently into the beautiful stars.

"Wait!....Just....Wait with me for a while. Okay?" He seriously asked.

"A-Alright," she answered, blushing deeply.

"You know....It really is beautful....it reminds me of when my mother passed away...so beautful....yet....so sad. It reminds me of something, too."

"What?"

"It reminds me of.....you."

"Oooh!" She gasped, blushing deeply.

"So beautiful.....yet....so confused......All this time....and you didn't even realize........."

"R-realize what?"

"That I......love you....."

"Oh! Inu-Yasha...!......" she sighed as she wrapped her arms around his middle, but she ended up looking at his face anyway....
"I love you....too...." and when she said that they both leaned in and kissed.....but it was interrupted by an on-coming wave that splashed them in the face and gave them sort of a slap back to reality.

"Heh heh! Let's head back! Kay?" Kagome asked sweetly.

"Yeah...."

So they walked back to camp and got ready for bed. After the went to bed, Sango and Miroku have a late night conversation.

"What do you think the were doing? They were gone for awhile," Miroku whispered to Sango.

"I don't know...but Kagome came back blushing, and Inu-Yasha was too quite. Do you think what I'm thinking, Miroku?" Sango whispered back.

"Sorry I can't think because you hit me so much"

SMACK

"Ok, ok. That hurt.......Anyway maybe you and Kagome should have a women to woman talk"

"If you think so. I'll talk to her tomorrow when we go to the hot springs"

The following day Sango and Miroku set the plan into action.

"Hey guy's. Let's split up and ask the people around town if the know anything about Naraku. Kagome you're with me. Sango, Miroku, and Shippou...you three go together," Inu-Yasha said.

"Are you sure this is a good idea, Inu-Yasha?" Miroku asked.

"It's the only way that I can think of. Why, you gotta better idea?" Inu-Yasha said, annoyed.

"You don't have to make a big deal about it," Miroku said.

"Well then shut you mouth next time!" Inu-Yasha yelled at him.

"Inu-Yasha!" Kagome scolded.

"What do you want now?" Inu-Yasha asked.

"SIT BOY!" Kagome yelled.

"Why'd you do that for?!" Inu-Yasha yelled.

"Figure it out; you act like a child," Kagome said annoyed.

"Well anyways lets just split up before anything else happens," Sango said.

Everyone then split up to go look for clues.......

After awhile everyone came back to where they were before.......

"Did you guys find out anything?" Miroku asked.

"No, nothing. How about you?" Kagome retorted.

"Yeah, they told us to ask Kaede. Let's wait, though. It's to late," Sango said.

"Why don't we camp by the springs? It's warmer there," Miroku suggested.

"Yeah, ok. Let's get a move on then," Inu-Yasha said.

"Now you can talk to her, Sango," Miroku whispered to Sango.

"Ok! After we eat, we'll go bathe in the hot springs, but if you peek you'll wish you were never born, Got it?" Sango whispered back.

"G-g-got it," studdered Miroku.

"What are you guys talk'n about back there?" Inu-Yasha asked loudly.

"We didn't say anything. You must've heard a mouse or something," Sango said nervously.

"Rrrrrrright," replied Inu-Yasha watching them carefully.
