Kagome had enough. She has had enough of inuyasha, kikiyo the shikon jewel, always being compared to the dead priestess. She knew she wasn't perfect but why did inuyasha have to always compare her with everything that was kikyo, her aiming, her looks, her attitude. He even had the gual to tell her that if it was kikyo with the jewel, she would never have gotten it stolen and shattered. This would ultimately end up in argument with her sitting inuyasha and her going home for a few days trying to cool of some steam. when he says these things she starts wounder is kikyo everything I'm not.

 

I was losing myself to somebody else

But now I see

I don't wanna pretend

'No I will not think like that' Kagome would tell herself as she would curl but in her sleeping bag as she turned her back towards inuyasha as he sneaked of to see his dead lover. 'doesn't he notice me' Kagome thought as she started crying silent tears 'doesn't he care that I stay here for him or does he just see me as a jewel detector or a copy of his dead love' Kagome curled up further into her sleeping bag as she felt a cold chill wrap it self around her. She looked down her sleeping bag to find a bundle of russet fur. Shippo, her little pup, her special little demon. She gently picked him up and places him in her arms as he sleepily turned and placed his head on her shoulder. He sighed in contempt as Kagome turned on her back and looked up at the stars

 

It's not like I need somebody

Telling me where I should go at night

Someone to tell you how to live their life

After awhile Kagome had given up on sleep. She had just too much on her mind. She decided a walk would be best to clear her head of everything that is building up inside of her. She grabbed her bow and arrows and head out of the clearing where they were camping. All the nights' creatures were coming alive. Crickets and frogs were singing their songs while the wind made the trees dance to the music but Kagome had totally tuned it out. She was lost in her thoughts. Thoughts of inuyasha, kikyo, the dam shikon jewel. Her thoughts were broken as she heard noises a couple of meters to the left of her. Of course, Kagome being a helpful person she thought that someone was hurt so she went to go take a look. But at that moment she wished she hadn't. In the clearing she saw a sight that nearly made her legs buckle from underneath her. Inuyasha was lying on the ground while cradling kikyo in his arms. They were kissing and talking to each other. Kagome could take it anymore as she bolted from the disgusting sight. As she ran she caught the last thing that came form inuyasha's mouth `you are everything she is not'

Kagome ran and ran, she didn't even care if she died from running to much, she just wanted to get away from him, from all the things that are he. As she was running she didn't see a tree root that had poked through the ground and tripped over it. She lay there as she cried `why does he do this' Kagome bundled her hands in to fists as she bunched the ground. `this is the last straw' Kagome stood up as the fire of rage and betrayal fuelled her soul and burned in her eyes

 

Now wait a minute

Because of you

I never knew all the things that I had

Kagome with the determination burning through her veins, she made her way back to the camp where she spotted inuyasha coming out of the tree, obvious fact he had not herd her coming toward him. he was still in a daze thinking about kikyo when he felt a sharp pain burn through his cheek. he looked down to see Kagome's hand raised as she slapped him across the face

'hey wench what the hell was that for' inuyasha yelled as he woke the entire camp

'oh nothing that was for all the shit you have put me through, all the heartache I had to endure as I watched you and that dead bitch make out. you know what you can go to her as long as you want because I'm leaving' Kagome said as she walked off. she paused and turned around 'I am somebody else, I am Kagome' she walked away, away from inuyasha, her pain, her sorrow. she is free
