Chapter 9: Huh?


"GODDAMMIT!!!"

The wolf prince was caught offguard by the sudden outburst, as he stood in front of the angry young woman wearing nothing but a bath towel, which wasn't all that much. Kagome's chocolate orbs were wide, as she stared at Kouga, "What the hell are you doing here?"

He cleared his throat, then said, "Well, I came upon a strange well, and thought I might check it out. And it brought me to this era, where I noticed your faint scent. I followed it, and found myself here. Now, that I am, I can't help but ask, why do I smell 'mutt' all over this room?"

She rolled her eyes, "And what makes you think that's any of your bussiness, Kouga?"

He shrugged, "No reason. Just curious, since I haven't seen him in ten years. But you... oh, Kagome, I've missed you."

"I can only imagine. Why are you here, in my room, though?"

"Wanted to see you. Like I said, I'm curious."

She shook her head, "Well, that's just great. As you can see, I'm just fine, so why don't you leave before you get yourself into trouble?"

"No," he approached her, slowly, but she only scooted away from him, which stopped him in his tracks, "I've waited for a long time, Kagome, and I don't want to lose you again."

Her mouth dropped open, "You still think I'm your 'woman' Kouga? Oh my god, get over yourself! I never wanted to be with you! I was just being nice, so Inuyasha wouldn't kill you!"

He arched an eyebrow, "Oh, really? So, that's why his scent's all over you."

Kagome blushed a light pink, and shifted uncomfortably on the mattress, "No... he just came to visit me, that's all."

"I can smell the demon slayer and that perverted monk's been here, too. What happened?"

"Fuck! Can't you just leave?! I don't want to talk about this. It's been a long day already and I don't need you coming in my room, all curious and shit, okay? You're just gonna confuse this thing even more."

"'Thing'?"

Her fingers tapped against her knee, in frustration, "Its absolutely-"

She was cut off by a loud thump against the closed door. Her eyes darted to it, and she held her breath for a moment. Kouga just turned to stare, his nostrils flaring, "Its mutt-face."

"Shit," she muttered under her breath, as the doorknob twisted quickly, and an angry youkai stepped in. His ears were flat against his skull, as he glanced at Kagome then Kouga, a frown appearing on his lips, "What the fuck?! Why is HE here, Kagome?!"

She sighed, long and deep, "Curiousity killed the wolf, ya know."

Kouga seemed to match Kagome's expression, as he spoke smoothly, "Well, look who it is. Haven't seen you in a while, have I?"

"Why are you here?" Inuyasha growled, through gritted teeth, as he stood in a simple battle stance, "and may I add, in Kagome's room?"

"I thought it was a good enough time to finally come and claim my woman," he stated, simply, one cowboy boot tapping against the carpet. His dark hair was down, one strand hanging lazily over an emotionless eye, and his pink lips were curved up into a smirk, showing off one sharp fang.

"Your woman? Give me a fuckin' break! She's not your's!" the youkai shouted, his hands curling up into fists, as he moved a step forward, "I thought you figured that out a long damn time ago."

"Apparently not, huh? I'm not leaving without her, this time. Kagome's mine."

Inuyasha's arm shot out, a fist hitting aganist the wolf's jaw, causing Kouga to be pushed back. Kagome stood up and paced over to stand between the two, her hands up in a surrending motion, "Okay, guys, stop it, right now, or you're both leaving."

The former hanyou glared at her, "Tell him to leave!"

She rolled her eyes, "Just shut up, Inuyasha."

Kouga rubbed his aching jaw, and bit his lip, before speaking, in a low voice, "Kagome, listen, come with me right now, and I'll give you everything. I'll take care of you, more than this asshole can."

Inuyasha's growl gained in volume, as he turned his attention back to the wolf prince, "Excuse me?"

Kagome shook her head, "Leave."

Both men looked at her, but Kouga ambled to stand in front of her, then grabbed an arm, pulling her to him. Her eyes were wide, as he leaned down and pressed his warm lips to her's. Obviously, Inuyasha was beyond shocked, his mouth agape, before he composed himself and grabbed the wolf, pulling him roughly away from the young woman by the collar of his shirt. Kagome reached out to take Kouga's hand, but didn't have the chance, as Inuyasha threw the wolf against the wall, hard. He groaned, as he slumped to the floor, back aching painfully from the impact, and having the breath knocked out of him.

Kagome glared daggers at the youkai, "What the fuck, Inuyasha?! You didn't have to hurt him!"

"He KISSED you!" He yelled back, the growl not leaving his throat, "were you just gonna let him do that?!"

She blushed, hotly, and watched as Kouga slowly picked himself off the floor, gaining balance, "You fuckin' bastard." He ran for him, tackling Inuyasha to the ground in one quick movement, his callaosed hands gripping tightly on his neck, choking him. Kagome grabbed his arm, pulling, to get him to release the youkai, "Stop it, Kouga!"

But it seemed useless, until Kouga let out a loud shriek. Her eyes widened, in horror, as she noticed scarlet begin to drip onto the carpet. Inuyasha had bit into his arm, and was holding tight. Kouga let go, and punched him in the face. He removed his fangs from Kouga's arm, as the wolf stumbled backwards to land on his ass. He glared at his flesh, a long deep gash covering his forearm, "Y-you fuckin' BASTARD!"

Inuyasha smirked, licking the blood from his lips and wiping the rest off with the back of his hand. Kagome's brown eyes were burning with anger as she allowed her hand to slap the former hanyou across the cheek. He turned to look at her, a dark pink imprint of her hand appearing on his face, as well as a purple bruise on his jaw from Kouga's fist, "What was that for?"

"You're such an ass! How dare you come in here and try to kill Kouga! Dammit, Inuyasha, I suggest you leave right now! And that goes for you, too, Kouga. Leave and don't either one of you come back!" She yelled, temples throbbing, as she pointed towards the door with her index finger, "I fuckin' mean it!"

Kouga stood up, carefully, and then paced over to the door, before pausing and looking back at the miko, "Kagome..."

"JUST FUCKIN' LEAVE!" She screamed, her face flushed, towel beginning to fall off, leaving a nice view of her clevage. Kouga nodded, walking out, the door slamming behind him. Now, she glared daggers at the man sitting down in front of her, "I can't believe you, Inuyasha. You leave and then as soon as something happens, you're here. Goddammit, you're such a-"

He grabbed her by the towel, which easily broke apart to reveal bare breasts, nipples erect, and pulled her to him, his lips capturing her's. She fell into the kiss, as his tongue quickly moved passed her lips and teeth, to find her own. She leaned forward, pressing against him eagerly, breasts brushing against his cloth covered chest, nipples touching the coarse carpet.

Her arms wrapped around his neck, as she silently wished the kiss would never end. But she had to breathe sometime, as he broke away and took a deep breath. His growl had died down, as he gazed into her eyes, noses touching, "You're such a bitch."
