Fallen Angel

 

She hands out presents to her friends on Christmas evening. After all her friends receive, their own special present, she realizes, she left one outside when she arrived earlier.

She walks down the stairs quietly and opens the door. She see's something unusual on the stairs. As she approaches it, she see's there's a dozen of white roses, carefully wrapped in black paper. Without thinking she sit's down on the snow dusted stairs and picks up the roses.

After examining the flowers, she noticed a folded piece of paper attached to them. She unfolded it. In silver letters `Fallen Angel' is written.

He walks towards her, but she doesn't see him, she's too mesmerized to notice him. He picks up the forgotten presents. She barely see's his glowing eyes as he opens them. He walks towards her, and bends down....tilts her head back and softly whispers
`Be With Me' , as he looks into her eyes, a single silver tear glistens down her face, falls to the ground and glistens into the snow......

 

 

This is my first story so take it easy on me k? well I hope that you like it and here it goes, I don't know where my mind will go so I'm warning everyone ahead of time…… enjoy.

 

Chapter 1 - Letting go?

 

“So are you going to chose me and life forever? Or go live a plain mortal life and die someday?” the angel spoke softly in of but a whisper, but she heard his every word with perfect clarity.

 

“Wha-what? You mean I can stay with you forever? What about my friends and family?” she still couldn't believe that this perfect angel was talking to her, or better yet choosing her for a life time or was it longer?

 

“Yes, you can be with me forever. But you must never see theses mortals you call `friends and family'. They are unimportant to the likes of us.”

With that said she was curious what he meant by `the likes of us', but she couldn't ask, she was to afraid that he would just disappear and never return again to her.

 

She softly spoke, trying to keep her voice together. “You mean that I can never see my friends or family again?”

 

With a little bit of angrier from her question, after he had just offered her a life of no pain, he had just offered this mortal woman a life to be with him! He then spoke with the angrier showing in his voice “Are you regretting me choosing you? I can gladly then leave you to your mortal life and find someone else to take your place. I shall leave you then,” before he could finish his words she spoke up and cut him off.

 

“NO! I didn't mean that! Please don't leave me! ...I just time to say my good-byes and then I'll never look back on my old life. I promise.” She spoke with sincerity in heart, only hoping that he wouldn't change him mind and leave her for someone else.

 

“I can't do that. It's against the rules of are kind. You must leave immediately and never look back on them, and you can never return to the light of day either.” he looked into her eyes and saw fear as he said those words, but he knew that he couldn't break the laws just for her.

 

“What do you mean `never return'? What are you a demon or something not of this earth?”

 

He was insulted by her question and quickly spoke to put her into her place, “How dare you call me a DEMON!” as he spoke he noticed her backing away from her in fear, and then the angel of darkness lightened his tone to not frighten her anymore than he had already, “Do you really want to know what I am?”

 

“Ummm…well im curious of course, but I will say…NO! I don't care what you are.”

 

“Very well you shall find out sooner or later, it is your chose. I have decided that I shall grant you one day to say your good-byes to everything and then you can decide if you choice me or your mortal life.”

 

“But where will I meat you, if I chose you?”

 

“You will find out when you are ready. I will be watching you and checking on your progress. But don't look for me because you will not find me and the mortals will think that your looking at imaginary things.”

 

“Have you watched me before this? Well I was wondering…why did you choose me over the others? There must have been better looking girls than me around.”

 

Her angel looked down at her and remembered why he chose her again, “I choose you because of that very reason. You are caring for others rather than yourself, you have done that since the moment I layed eyes on you in your high school.”

 

Confused by what he had just said she spoke with curiosity in her voice, “You've been watching me since high school? But I was a nobody, no one ever saw me! Why did you see me and no one else?”

 

“You are not like those other `girls' as you call them. You were always different. The way you were born to the day you got married. You amazed me in so many different ways. That's why I decided that I was going to chose you for my bride, my soul mate for all eternity.”

 

She thought to herself, but didn't realize that she was also speaking out loud, “If you were watching me why didn't he choose me then?”

 

“I did choose you then, but I had to wait until you were older so that you wouldn't look like a child for all eternity” he said sarcastically, “and, anyways I will always remember the way you looked that day, when I choose you, the most beautiful of all the girls,” he was lost in his thoughts that he didn't see her walking up towards her a staring into his lonely eyes. Then when he broke from his thoughts, he spoke softly and said, “You must go back to the party, everyone will come looking for you soon and I don't want anyone to see me talking to you now.”

 

She thought and spoke before he left one question that she thought of quickly, “Wait!!! What about my husband how can I leave him, without him sending people out looking for me?”

 

“That is your decision to make. If you have an argument with him then maybe you can leave and people will think that you left because of the fighting, but that is up to you and only you.”

 

“What if he finds us?” as she said `us' his heart melted and he wanted to take her away then and there and make her his forever and ever, his thoughts were cut short when she spoke again, “Where would we hide, that way he wouldn't be able to find us??”

 

“I would only do as you wished me to do.”

 

“So if I said to `leave him alone', then you would? What if I asked you to do something you didn't want to do? What would you do then?”

 

“Like I said, I will do whatever you wish. Because it is your past life and not mine to destroy or make decisions in.” with that said she took a long stare towards the building where the party was and thought to herself. Would she be willing to have her husband killed to protect there new life a secret? She couldn't decipher wither or not she would have her husband killed. She turned and saw her angel looking down with curiosity in his silver eyes.

 

“What are you thinking about right now...?.... I can't read your thoughts and I want to know. You seem far away from me now, is everything o.k.?”

 

She couldn't speak the words that she wanted to speak so she just nodded her head to answer yes. Then she stared into his eyes longing for something that he to, wanted to give to her, but didn't know how to give it to her. Finally she spoke, but of just a whisper, “I'm fine but I don't know what to do about my future ex-husband.”

 

“Well what ever you decide I will do. You better return to the party people are starting to come looking for you and they'll be outside in a short time…and well no one can know that I exist, except for you of course!”

 

“Then I guess that we should leave each other for the time, which will seem like eternity to me.”

 

“But it will go by faster than you think. Before you know it, you will be in my arms again and I shall never let go of you again. That is a promise that I will never forget!”

 

Just as she was about to speak, her words were cut off as the doors to the building swung open and the last person she wanted to see came out of the building, even as he spoke she didn't hear a word that he spoke until “RAVEN LOOK AT ME WHEN IM TALKING TO YOU !!!!!!” and then she tasted the blood that was coming from her mouth……
