Fallen Misery: Chapter 1

Better Introduced

"I'm going home you idiot! I thought you could at least figure that out!" Walking to the well and kneeling on the edge Kagome paused a moment. "Oh…Inuyasha?"

"What now wench?" Inuyasha said snarling at her a couple steps away.

"Sit boy!" With those words she jumped through the well to her time.

*thump*

"Don't come back!" He yelled after her from his position flattened into the ground.

"Inuyasha, do you always have to upset Kagome like this?" Miroku asked. The hanyou muttered a few curses under his breath and sprang through the trees. "I'm going to take that as a `feh'. It always seems like he just doesn't care for Kagome."

"He does…although he doesn't like to show it very often, does he?" Sango said. "Miroku…" Sango knew exactly what was on her backside right then.

"Yes, my dear Sango?" Miroku asked innocently. A moment later she was bringing the Hiraikotsu down over the monk's head. He laid sprawled on the ground unconscious at her side. She sat down against a tree frustrated. `I would think he has learned his lesson by now. One day I'm going to knock his head off and he would still do it…'

So concentrated was she in her agitation that she didn't notice the young blond that stepped through the treeline with a black panther at her side.

"Inuyasha! Inuyasha!" Jenai screamed. She looked down at her side to ask if the cat demon had caught a scent of him. She was gone. `Wonderful, another demon to look for.' The cat had bounded across the field that separated Jenai from Sango and Miroku, and was now licking the unconscious monk. Jenai ran the rest of the way across the field.

"Kumori, leave him alone." She said while pulling the giant cat demon away from Miroku. Jenai then looked to Sango who was wondering where they had just appeared.

"Hi, you wouldn't happen to know the whereabouts of the demon Inuyasha, would you?" Jenai asked politely. By the stunned look on Sango's face she knew she had found his partners in traveling.

"How do you know Inuyasha? Are you against him or on his side?" Sango was obviously suspicious of the woman standing in front of her. She knew she was a demon, but couldn't sense any evil coming from her. By now Miroku had woken up and was now staring up at what he thought was a goddess. He just had to give her his favorite pick-up line. He stood up, brushed himself off, and was immediately in Jenai's face.

"Excuse me, fair maiden. Can I ask you a simple question?" He could hear Sango sigh behind him and put her head in her hands. Jenai nodded and looked up at him with curiosity. "Will you bear my child?" Miroku asked her waiting for another expected smack that, suspiciously, never came.

"Well, don't you think we should get to know each other a little better first?" She was amused by his question, but was up for the offer. She had been with many men and never raised any children, she never got close enough to a guy to have his kids. She was 900 years old after all, even if she only looked but the age of 19.

"Anyway, I'm looking for Inuyasha because his brother, Sesshomaru, is after me." She informed turning to Sango. "He's after my blood, do you have any information that might be able to help me destroy him?"

Just then the ground shook and the tree standing behind them was sliced in half. Inuyasha landed in front of the fallen tree. And he didn't look very happy to see her.

"Looking for Sesshomaru?" The hanyou snarled.

"Actually, yes I am. Are you Inuyasha?" She answered locking his eyes with hers.

"Who wants to know?" He asked stepping closer to her. He knew what she was right away. She was no demon, she was a vampire; a very powerful one at that.

"You're a vampire, aren't you?" Inuyasha inquired already knowing her answer. He stepped in front of his companions incase she might attack. She nodded slowly.

"Yes, I am. I guess you could figure that out by the way my blood smells, correct?" She replied putting a sexy tone in her voice to tempt him. He was pretty cute for a half-breed, but his attitude could do without that arrogance. She then noticed his little twitching dog-ears. `Oh my god! He's got little puppy ears!' Even she, Jenai the all-powerful vampire could not help herself. She lifted her hands to his ears and gave them a small tweak.

*tweak tweak…tweak tweak*

Inuyasha was growling then. He grabbed at her hands but she was too fast for him.

"Your ears are so adorable!" Jenai screeched pulling out of his reach.

"What is it with people and my ears!" He covered his ears with his hands and sat down mumbling. The hanyou sat there for a while before noticing that Jenai was speaking to Sango and Miroku about Sesshomaru.

"He's after my vampire blood. It can make him very powerful and almost unstoppable if he's ever able to use the blood." Jenai answered with a sigh.

"Didn't he already capture you once though? How did you escape from him?" Sango wondered, how anyone could get away from Sesshomaru's grasp.

Before Jenai could begin to explain how she escaped Sesshomaru's castle, someone could be heard coming across the clearing. Inuyasha's ears twitched in the direction of the person. Inuyasha knew who it was.

"I thought I told you not to come back!" Inuyasha yelled over the clearing.

"Since when do I listen to you!" Kagome screamed as she approached. She looked to Jenai. `Who's that blonde woman?' Kagome thought as she sat down next to Sango in efforts to keep away from the hanyou.

"I don't believe we've met before. I'm Jenai, a vampire from a future time sent back here to make sure Sesshomaru doesn't get a hold of me again and become the ruler of all. That's why I came here seeking information on him." Jenai held out her hand to Kagome as she introduced herself.

Kagome took her hand and shook gently before letting go. "I'm Kagome. I hope Inuyasha hasn't been too rude to you while I was gone." She said while throwing an evil glare his way.

"Oh, he hasn't been rude at all. I was just talking about his ears when you arrived." She said giggling softly.

"Aren't they just the cutest things you've ever seen!" Kagome replied also giggling. They went on like that for about 5 more minutes when Inuyasha snorted to get them back on the subject of his brother.

"He's coming." Inuyasha whispered as he turned towards his brother crossing the small field.

Jenai stood quickly taking out her gun. She aimed for Sesshomaru's leg, she shot quickly but he dodged the bullet and came swooping towards her. Kagome notched an arrow and shot but also missed him. Inuyasha drew the Tetsusaiga and took a battle stance. Sango grabbed her Hiraikotsu and told Kirara to transform. They were all ready for him. It was only Jenai who thwarted him though. She created a dark red bubble with a small dagger inside of it; she launched it towards him and it hit him in the stomach while he was fighting Inuyasha. The dog demon fell to his knees and then vanished.

"There, that wasn't as hard as I thought." She mumbled while jumping up to a branch and laying herself across it. Inuyasha stood under the branch that she was resting on.

"So you're a witch, too?" He pondered.

"Sort of...I have gained powers from witches by drinking their blood." She answered in a whisper. "No need to worry though, I won't put any spells on you guys." She reassured them. She stared into Inuyasha's amber eyes. "Maybe, except for you Inuyasha." She whispered and leaned down kissing him on the forehead. She pulled herself back up to the branch and smiled at him; also taking a quick glance at Kagome she knew by her angered and flustered expression she knew she would have to kill her to get to Inuyasha. She fell asleep a couple minutes afterward, dreaming of plans to kill Kagome.

OK, that's the second chapter, its kind of confusing but I hope everyone understood it. Anyway PLEASE REVIEW!
