Fallen Misery: Chapter 2

An Arrow of Death

~*Flashback*~

She awoke to find herself chained to a wooden table. Sesshomaru sat off to her left studying her as she broke herself free. Turning towards him Jenai smirked and pulled out her gun. She appeared to be aiming at Sesshomaru, but at the last moment she fired at the window next to him and shattered it completely. Thinking that would distract him, she did a back flip onto the table behind her and quickly searched for an exit, rushing towards it, she checked behind her to make sure Sesshomaru was occupied with finding her in the dark room. She had an advantage at the moment with the lights off and the curtains drawn.

The object that had blurred to a stop in front of her startled her. Sesshomaru wasn't caught off guard the least bit by broken glass being sprayed over him. He knew she could be tricky with her persuasive eyes along with her manipulating voice to accompany her multiple personality. His claws were ready to plunge into her when she shot him in the foot. He looked down and watched as blood seeped from his shoe and into the dark carpet.

"Ow, wench that hurt." Sesshomaru joked keeping his emotionless appearance. Although, now she could sense a glint of anger in his emotions. Sesshomaru looked back up to her about to throttle her only to come eye to eye with the barrel of the gun.

"Not as much as this will." She pulled the trigger and the dog-demon collapsed before her. Knowing he will soon recover from the shot in the brain she had to leave immediately. She had to wash up somewhere first though because he would easily find her seeing that she was covered in his blood.

Leaping over to the broken window she jumped out and landed in the river below. She quickly washed herself of his scent and bounded through the woods to find, Inuyasha, Sesshomaru's half brother. To seek information from him, and maybe end his life along with it as she had to Sesshomaru's.

~*End Flashback*~

Recalling the whole memory of the escape was like a dream. She didn't know exactly why, but it felt like it. She had explained it to the group and that's why Inuyasha had noticed a small dent in Sesshomaru's forehead. Right now Inuyasha had gone off somewhere because of a certain scent that `interested' him. Everyone else was at Kaede's hut. Jenai was sitting in a random tree spying on Inuyasha and new found character. She smelled odd and repulsive as if she were…the living dead. It was obvious that they loved each other, the only problem was that this dead woman wanted to bring Inuyasha to hell with her. She was a priestess by the name of Kikyo. Jenai was not happy with the fact that Inuyasha was two-timing Kagome and this dead miko. Then again, she didn't know much about Inuyasha, but she didn't find him as the cheating type. Though, he won't be cheating long. `I'll have to get rid of both of them. Maybe have them kill each other.' She smirked evilly at the thought. `But how would I plot them against each other enough to kill themselves.' She looked over to the couple standing in the clearing in front of the 1000-year-old tree. Inuyasha and Kikyo were set in stone embracing each other. `Inuyasha could be used as something to set them against each other.'

Jenai lied there scheming while Inuyasha and Kikyo had an interesting conversation about hell and love and evil Kagome. She watched as Kagome came walking towards the pair. They were kissing now; Kagome would of course see them and freak out. `This is so perfect. Great timing Kagome. Now if this plan follows through correctly then Kagome and Kikyo will be dead and I can do what I wish with Inuyasha.' Jenai knew this would work, and her accomplishment would be to get rid of a miko that should have not existed at all; and a miko that is pretty much a copy of the dead one. Getting rid of the same person, in two bodies, how interesting. Jenai had noted that Kagome and Kikyo both had their arrows with them today. `Those could come in handy. And the rumors say they're sacred arrows, if hit by one they just might destroy the being.' She had planned to brainwash Kagome and then Kikyo into shooting each other simultaneously. If her calculations were correct the arrows would hit the other person at the same time, they would both be dead and, hopefully, erased from existence forever.

Kagome walked under the tree that she was sitting in. It was then the brainwashing would begin.

"Kagome, Kagome. Don't walk any further. Inuyasha is with Kikyo again, that's why he left you. He would never love you. He loves her. The only way he would love you is if you destroy her. Destroy her, Kagome. End her life with Inuyasha." Kagome had stopped walking. She looked kind of confused, but from the last commands she notched an arrow and pointed it at Kikyo. Inuyasha had sensed her coming, but he didn't expect to have an arrow tip to look at when he turned around to face her.

"Kagome? Is that you?" Inuyasha studied her face; she wasn't even looking at him. She was looking past him to the dead woman.

"Inuyasha, step aside. I have to rid this world of that nuisance." Kagome ordered Inuyasha as she got her aim steady. Jenai didn't even have to brainwash Kikyo. She had already pushed Inuyasha out of the way and notched an arrow as well. Inuyasha was startled at the sight. The two women he loved standing feet apart ready to shoot each other at the slightest movement.

"Shoot now." Jenai whispered into their minds. Kagome let go of the arrow, as did Kikyo. Almost exactly at the same time. The arrows went flying towards each other. Inuyasha stared in horror as the arrows flew passed each other and to the victims. Kagome had come out of her trance; she had enough time to whisper something that only Jenai and Inuyasha could hear.

"An arrow of death…" She whispered. Jenai was surprised that neither of them moved from their spots. The last thing heard was a horrifying cry of pain that rang through the forest…then followed by total silence.

Yay, chapter 2 is done! I know some people like Kikyo and Kagome but I really don't so I got rid of them. Please don't flame me! But PLEASE REVIEW!
