NIGHT ONE: CAPTIVE

~~ Drip! ~~

A concentrated line, as red as his fire mice clothes, crawled its way from his forehead down his neck. Somehow, a drop of it trickled and fell onto the sun-baked soil. Sweat and dirt pasted onto his pale face mercilessly as he tightened his fingers onto his red-blade fang sword even more. Blood spotted on his snowy mane as he struggled and pressed his back against a half-torn tree, panting and shooting another glance back at his attacker through his golden eyes. He was young, very young looking indeed. No one would have believed that this teenager with the appearance of fifteen years old was in fact more than fifty years of age.

"Kukukuku…………………&helli p;….. Giving up already, half-breed?" A voice chuckled causally as if talking to an old friend. A tall figure stepped out into the open. It was a black-hair man with a baboon skin wrapped over his pale body. Behind him followed a young lady holding a paper fan and a girl with a mirror on her hands.

"Naraku!" The injured teenager snarled at the baboon-belted man.

"How are you, Inuyasha?" Naraku smiled faintly: "How's the feeling of betrayals and being abandoned by your greatly-trusted friends?"

"You! You are behind all these!" Inuyasha hissed, trying to keep his mind conscious at the same time: "You are the one who impose as me and attacked them, making them believe I am their foe!"

"What a pity! What a 'wonderful' friendship ties you have with those people, Inuyasha! Is this the 'friendship' you people have treasured so much?" Naraku sniggered: "Just a little twist of my little finger and they're all gone! Kukukukuku………"

Inuyasha's eyes started to blur as his mind traveled back to the days of traveling with his friends-Kagome, Miroku, Shippou and Sango.

During a trip, he had left his camp to track down Naraku's trail and had received a terrible welcome from his friends. They were hurt and injured. He had questioned them what had happened. In return, Miroku and Sango actually looked at him with distrustful eyes and attacked him.

Inuyasha could not bear to hurt them and received their blows without fighting back. Kagome and Shippou had stopped them before he was killed, and in the end, the four most trusted friends decided to severe ties with Inuyasha and went on their own ways.

They would continue their hunt-----without Inuyasha. He would be left, all alone by himself.

Feeling hurt and pain, Inuyasha ran through the forest and was attacked by Naraku. And here he was now, seriously injured, both emotionally and physically. He had trusted them so much and this was what he got back in return. He could not blame Naraku for setting such tricks; he was just deeply disappointed that his friends would fall into his plot so easily without much thoughts.

"Kukukukuku, how pathetic, Inuyasha……………………&he llip;…" Naraku advanced towards Inuyasha, stretching his hand at him. As if tied down by tons of iron, Inuyasha could not lift his sword to resist. He had lost his will and strength to live. He shut his eyes.

'Let him kill me………………………& hellip;……………..' The words drifted through Inuyasha's mind before he fell into unconsciousness.

Cold wind blushed across his tender skin, sending shivers down his spine…………….

He shivered and jerked upwards.

The first thing that came to his mind was……………….

Am I still alive?

Inuyasha fluttered his eyes open weakly. The pain on his limbs and chest from the battle struck through his nerves like lightning.

The surrounding was dark and the ground was hard and cold. The only source of light filtered through a barred window on a locked door. He was in a dungeon.

Inuyasha tried to swallow down a whimper that threatened to erupt from his throat and tried to lift his hand to press his spinning head, but he only heard some clanging sound and his hands were struck in the mid air. He tried the same to his legs, which produced similar effects. He was chained in the middle of the room with his limbs spread apart in a star shape.

Frantically, his eyes scanned for his Tetsusaiga. It was nowhere to be seen.

"Ah………. You're finally awaked, Inuyasha…………" A muscular voice chuckled causally. Inuyasha's eyes slowly adapted to the dark surrounding and saw Naraku leaning against a wall, looking at him. He must have been watching him throughout his coma.

"YOU BEAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Inuyasha screamed and lunged his claws at Naraku, but failed. The chains were no ordinary chains and they restricted his action.

"Oh, no, no, you are going to bleed to death if you continue to do this," Naraku chuckled and cooed as if talking to a five-year old child.

"What do you want, Naraku?" Inuyasha snarled ferociously, but his body was hanging exhaustedly from the chains.

"What do I want?" Naraku echoed mischievously and walked up before Inuyasha. He ran his hand on Inuyasha's cheek, moving to stroke Inuyasha's smooth chin and his face neared Inuyasha's: "Tell me, what do I want, Inuyasha?"

Inuyasha felt more shivers up his spine, except this time, it was not due to the low temperature in the room. He tried to calm himself down and shut his eyes.

"He is thinking of torturing me, that's all, why should I be afraid of him? All he probably do is to cut me apart or starve me to death, what could be more?" Inuyasha tried to convince himself. But his unknown fear remained.

Inuyasha felt the hand that was stroking his chin moving up, caressing his furry ears and finally sunk into his thick snowy mane, running the fingers through his hair. Inuyasha's heart skipped a beat and stiffened. Inuyasha was not totally innocent as what many people had thought. He knew what sexual harassing was; it was just his character that he did not put it to words every time. Now, he was hoping what he had suspected would not come true.

He felt the hand on the back of his head pushing him towards the face before him and a pair of lips pressing against his own, at the same time, a tongue teasing at the entrance of his own lips. Inuyasha forced his lips as shut as possible. He knew what Naraku wanted.

"Stubborn little puppy," Naraku chuckled: "I'll make you mine, sooner or later, besides, you have nowhere to go, kukukukuku…………."

Inuyasha felt the warm leaving him. A spray of light shone and disappeared through his eyelids, accompanied by the sound of the door closing. Inuyasha opened one eye slightly. Naraku was gone. He was again locked alone in the cold dungeon.

Inuyasha let himself relax and hang limply from the chains. A sour feeling surged up his mind and he let himself wept uncontrollably.
